BREAKING REPORT: Mark Penn, a former senior adviser to Clinton, has called for an internal investigation into ABC, accusing them of rigging the debate against Trump.

“I will be releasing an affidavit from an ABC whistleblower regarding the debate. I have just signed a non-disclosure agreement with the attorney of the whistleblower. The affidavit states how the Harris campaign was given sample question which were essentially the same questions that were given during the debate and separate assurances of fact checking Donald Trump and that she would NOT be fact checked. Accordingly, the affidavit states several other factors that were built into the debate to give Kamala a significant advantage. I have seen and read the affidavit and after the attorney blacks out the name of the whistleblower and other information that could dox the whistleblower, I will release the full affidavit. I will be releasing the affidavit before the weekend is out.”

They let most of Trump's lies slide, but you have to draw a line somewhere, I think fact checking the claim that democrats execute babies after they are born was not setting a particularly high bar for their fact checking. The only thing they did that favored Harris was let Trump talk more than her and it’s not their job to save Trump from his own crazy rambling.

It comes to something when MAGA Republicans are not concerned that their presidential candidate, live on television, said democrats kill babies after birth, but they are very concerned that the moderator pointed out to him that this is not true.

From The Daily Signal:
“The Daily Signal examined several years of data from the Minnesota Department of Health: At least eight babies who survived abortions — and were thus born alive — were later killed, or left to die.

In fact, during the narrow timeframe of January 1, 2021, through December 21, 2021 (one year), five babies were born post-abortion operation. Of those five infants:

No one tried to save the first baby, who was allegedly born with “fetal anomalies” and died shortly thereafter.

The second and third babies were given unspecified “comfort care measures” on their first (and last) birthdays. Neither baby survived.

The fourth and fifth babies were deemed “previable,” which is defined as the stage of fetal maturity when there’s a much lower probability of survival outside of the uterus, but thanks to medical advances, the range of previability is shifting; it’s often considered a “gray zone” for ethical decision-making. Regardless, no efforts were made to save either baby.

The Daily Signal also uncovered Minnesota’s records from January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019 (one year): Three babies were born alive after an attempted abortion, and three times these babies were allowed to die.”

I saw Joe Biden sporting a Trump hat today. Now that Joe is no longer running for president and given how he was shoved out, he is free to say a big "fu" to the Democrats. It was very funny.

My granddaughter was born three months early and weighed 26 ounces at the time she was born. She spent three months in neonatal intensive care before she could come home. Today she’s a 20 years old college junior and on the dean’s list. No one knows what the minimum viability age is because all babies are different. Mine is a fighter!

A conservative charter school in Edgewood, NM violated a parent’s First Amendment rights.

Estancia Valley Classical Academy’s school board has to pay the parent $43,000.

The school's governance council treats the school like their own private club, and have ended the school's affiliation with Hillsdale without parent's knowledge. When Craig Springer found out and brought it up at a school board meeting, he was silenced.

More fights like this need to be waged.

Trump calls Tim Walz “The vice president” multiple times in a rally in Arizona. Then he went on to say Biden “couldn't find his way off the stage”. He says “Pennsylvania, remember this when you have to go to vote…”. He was in Arizona. No wonder he doesn’t want to debate Harris again, he may slip and refer to her as President Harris.

WNBA rookie standout Caitlin Clark is speaking up about her decision to like Taylor Swift's Instagram endorsement of Kamala Harris.

“I have this amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing would be just encourage people to register to vote,” Clark, 22, said to reporters during her media availability on Wednesday, Sept. 11, a day after Taylor Swift posted her backing of Harris on the social media platform.

The Indiana Fever rookie added, “That’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have, and that’s the same thing Taylor [Swift] did."

"An affidavit with the named blacked out- you can't make this stuff up...." It's funny you mention it that way. There used to be a President that was subjected to daily anonymous leaks, supposedly from key figures high up within his Administration, and every single one of them was anonymous. And as it turns out, every single one of these damaging leaks was treated by many as the unvarnished holy truth, coming from 'unnamed sources familiar with the situation' or 'whistleblowers' or 'anonymous sources in the White House' and - would you believe it - there was actually a whole bunch of morons that fell for it, every single time? And a lot of them were in the media, and they would turn right around and re-broadcast it. We now know this is called malinformation.

Ironically, as it turned out, you actually could make that stuff up, and get people to believe it. Not only that, some of them still do, and some of them are right here.

Mutaman: "Most biased thing ABC did during the debate was not forcing Trump to answer why he scuttled the b-partisan border bill."

Unlike you, I took the time to find the details of that bill to see why someone might not want to be in favor of that "bi-partisan" border bill. Here are a few items (from a PBS analysis) that stand out as reasons why a lot of us wouldn't be in favor of it.

The total funding was $118.3 billion. Of that total, here's where it would have gone:
* $60 billion in military aid to Ukraine
* $14.1 billion to Israel
* $10 billion in humanitarian aid to Gaza, Israel, & Ukraine
* $4.83 billion for the Indo-Pacific region
* $2.3 billion in refugee assistance in U.S.
* $2.72 billion for domestic uranium enrichment
* And, oh yes, $20.2 billion for U.S. border security

Among other questionable provisions, the most egregious one would be setting a default upper limit of 5,000 immigrants per day (or 1,825,000 immigrants per year) before any halt or deportation actions can be taken.

Mutaman, I hope that this gives you some insight into why reasonable people might think that's a bad bill...and why your comments are not very persuasive.

Achilles said...

"and why your comments are not very persuasive. "

I'm not trying to "persuade" anyone, I'm just stating a fact- Trump was asked why he scuttled the bill and his answer was :
"First let me respond as to the rallies. She said people start leaving. People don't go to her rallies. There's no reason to go. And the people that do go, she's busing them in and paying them to be there. And then showing them in a different light. So, she can't talk about that. People don't leave my rallies. We have the biggest rallies, the most incredible rallies in the history of politics. That's because people want to take their country back. Our country is being lost. We're a failing nation. And it happened three and a half years ago. And what, what's going on here, you're going to end up in World War 3, just to go into another subject. What they have done to our country by allowing these millions and millions of people to come into our country. And look at what's happening to the towns all over the United States. And a lot of towns don't want to talk -- not going to be Aurora or Springfield. A lot of towns don't want to talk about it because they're so embarrassed by it. In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in. They're eating the cats. They're eating -- they're eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what's happening in our country. And it's a shame. As far as rallies are concerned, as far -- the reason they go is they like what I say. They want to bring our country back. They want to make America great again. It's a very simple phrase. Make America great again. She's destroying this country. And if she becomes president, this country doesn't have a chance of success. Not only success. We'll end up being Venezuela on steroids."

If there were good reasons for not supporting the bill, why didn't he state them?

Mark Penn is CEO of the Harris Poll. On FNC's "Hannity," he said Donald Trump failed to highlight Vice President Kamala Harris's more radical policies.

That was Trump's problem and had nothing to do with the ABC moderators. If Trump hadn't lied, he wouldn't have been called out by the moderators - which only happened three times despite Trump's 33 lies. The moderators gave Trump more time and chances to answer the discussed subjects.

The KFOX report writes that Juan Carlos Thola-Duran and his girlfriend, Ana Maria Arriagada, allegedly rented vehicles to criminals they directed to commit hundreds of crimes nationwide, including burglaries, thefts, and money laundering, according to a 46-count indictment.

The thefts spanned 80 cities and involved 120 cases, with the pair earning $5.5 million.

Most of the criminals were from Chile, taking advantage of a visa waiver program. The defendants also allegedly used stolen money to buy real estate and horses and fraudulently obtained $275,000 in COVID-19 relief loans.
