At the Lost Toy Café...

... there's the pink giraffe you've been grieving far too long. Go get it or let it go.

Looks like a dog toy.

Aw. It's recently dropped. I hope someone comes running back for it.

Whew. If my 3 y.o. Grandson’s bear fell out of a stroller and got lost the world would suddenly become a very dark place. That thought struck me, so last week I bought a light box and photographed Blockshoe the gray bear in all his matted, tattered glory, in case he should meet his demise someday. The photo is fabulous, if I may say.

Poor thing.

Probably a dog toy. It should give you joy to think that the owner sniffed around for it for 5 seconds and then blithely ran off, not a backward thought for it's lost possession, it's canine heart full of exhilarated anticipation of the next experience.

I don't know about that. Last spring a pair of sandhill cranes were out in the street with a chick, and a couple of trucks, a pool cleaner, and a lawn guy, came by, and scared off the little fella. The parents cried out for it for a couple of hours before giving up, and just a week ago, they were crying out again that loud sandhill crane "assembly" call, in the same spot where they lost their chick.

There was green alligators and long-necked geese
Some humpty-backed camels and some chimpanzees
Some cats and rats and elephants, but this may give you a laugh
The loveliest of all was the pink giraffe

I see some marks on its head. Maybe some professor from the college got scared and hit it with a shovel.

Sometimes, you just prefer to enjoy the sense of loss.

Anyway, a Haitian will be along to eat it soon.

Beethoven was in the midst of losing his hearing when he wrote Moonlight Sonata. The first movement of that song is the most beautiful song ever written.

Madison, WI City Clerk “accidentally” mails 2000 duplicate ballots to liberals living in Madison

“MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Up to 2,000 voters in Wisconsin’s heavily Democratic capital of Madison were sent duplicate absentee ballots, but a city spokesperson said Tuesday that none had been returned, all affected voters were being contacted and there were multiple safeguards in place to ensure only one ballot is counted.”

The Democrat Wisconsin voter fraud efforts remain centrally coordinated in Madison. Funny how shit like this doesn’t happen in Waukesha County.

My daughter had a stuffed bunny that she loved dearly (and it looked the part--it was a mess). One day she left it in an airport--there was no hope of getting it back. She was devastated at the time, but now, years later, she can barely remember it.

Oh thank heavens! The family can get another one!

Once I was driving with the windows down. My son in the car seat in the back seat threw his beanie baby out the window. His Beloved Beanie Baby. By the time I circled back, a woman had picked it up and started driving away. I followed her all the way to Waunakee (The only one in the world) and got it back as she exited her garage. Ten mile detour. Thanks kid. (It just wasn't the right time for a demonstration of actions and consequences)

These Progressives are sick in the head. Tell me again how they aren't trying to kill Trump. Time for a clean up of Government and media. Time to make the cockroaches like Whoopie scurry away to another country like she claims she will do. Let's force her. She is a problem, along with Delusional Joe who has screwed us so badly, and is destroying America everyday he is occupying the White House under false pretenses.

He, along with his Commerce Secretary are STILL threatening Trump after they already tried to kill him twice, and they think they are funny??? I posted this earlier.

These Progressive fuckers want us all dead. Listen to the Commerce secretary today wanting someone to EXTERMINATE Trump. What ELSE would she mean after 2 assassination attempts??

"Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo told MSNBC, “He says, he’s the opposite. It’s just another lie. Like, how did we get here? Let’s extinguish him for good. We have an answer. We have a remarkably talented candidate who is sincere, who’s pragmatic, who’s open. Let’s just get it done.”"

Here's the video of Joe exterminating Trump as a bug...because ugly, inside and out, Whoopie called him one. I can think of something really nasty Whoopie should be called, but I will refrain at this moment...but I am thinking it

Mrs. DtM and I were recently in NYC and went to see the original Winnie the Pooh toys at the NYC Public library. Sadly, the original Roo is lost, apparently dropped in an apple orchard many many years ago....

As an infant my niece (now in her fifties) had a “lovey,” a terry cloth lamb, that she literally loved to pieces. My parents bought a bunch of duplicates and started subbing in fresh new ones for ones in the early stages of falling apart. If little Jenny had any questions about how a much-loved but falling apart toy could magically fix itself and also change color, I never heard her ask them

We tried doing that once. The plan was to put old bunny in the washing machine and take new bunny out of the dryer a couple hours later, but we never got to execute the ruse as she found new bunny—I don’t know how, it was in a box, buried in the back of a closet, but she did. Over the course of about a year, she gradually transitioned to new bunny on her own.

But when new bunny was lost, it couldn’t be replaced. It was a specific “Goodnight Moon” bunny and they stopped making that version.

The important part of this story is that the rape attempt happened last week. They were able to hide it for an entire week.

If some stupid political scandal reminds you of OJ Simpson brutally murdering his ex-wife and her friend, you're more effed in the head than I thought you were.

Get some perspective. Now.

Initial statement was that this happened in 1 ward only. NOW, oops it’s 10 wards! Don’t believe a word they say. This is all about needing enough Dem voters in Dem strongholds to make sure they have enough votes in the can to drop at 3AM to make sure Harris wins the state.

paminwi said...

And the idiot Dems says it’s Trump’s language that encourage his demise. This year has infuriated me more than any other election year.

Jeff Clark @JeffClarkUS on Kamala Harris' prosecutorial career, on X.

"Yesterday, I had promised my followers to run a search to see if Kamala Harris had ever argued any appeals -- ever. Even just one.

I got busy but have now completed that task.

The short answer is "no, never." I could not find any evidence she had ever argued an appeal.

I challenge her to cite to the records in such a case and explain why it is not captured in Westlaw, which is the most comprehensive electronic research service in existence.

Here's the search I ran in Westlaw, which other lawyers with access to Westlaw can readily replicate:

Databases for search: ALLFEDS + ALLSTATES
(this searches all reported and many unreported cases in all federal courts AND state courts -- I did not even limit my search as to state courts in California alone).

Boolean search terms: adv: ((kamala /3 harris) /2 argued)

This first part of that Boolean search finds the universe of all cases where Kamala Harris (including Kamala D. Harris and Kamala Devi Harris -- or any other potential variants of her name) appears. Then the second part of the search narrows that universe down to cases where the word "argues" appears within 2 words of her name.

The search returns only 5 cases--see the first picture below.

I then manually checked each of the 5 cases returned by the search. In each of those, one of her subordinates argued, not her--see, for example, the second picture below (noting that her subordinate Steve Oetting was the one who argued Flournoy v. Small in the Ninth Circuit -- one of the 13 federal circuits).

Practices can vary, but in general, prosecutors -- especially in state systems -- often argue their own appeals. Not Kamala. She never even attempted the feat, which requires the lawyer presenting or defending the appeal to both know the law, think on their feet in responding to questions from a panel of three or more judges, and know the factual record.

Westlaw also includes a report about cases worked on. But it goes back only to 2014, and by then she was already AG and doing nothing more than supervising, so nothing about her own chops as a lawyer in her own right can be gleaned from that report.

@ Jim: I suspect that Robinson picked this law firm because he misread its name as Bi-Anal and thought he’d found the perfect fit.

I don't watch the news, so I never heard until today that there was a third plot on Trump's life in the past three months. The one by the Iranians. Is it just me, or is it like the media doesn't want anybody to realize that the Iranians want Trump dead too because that might help him in the election.

If any of you watch the news, has this been covered at all?
