"Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was!"

"He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t - And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Writes Trump, on Truth Social.

It will be interesting to see how quickly Trump and his campaign can pivot. So much of their strategy was focused on how terrible Biden is/was, not what specific policies Trump would try to implement if elected. The Democrats really had no choice but to force Biden out. This is their Hail Mary pass. It will give some Democrats hope, because, you know, we've all seen those football games where the receivers catch the Hail Mary pass, score the touchdown, and win the game. I hope the Dems don't win, but it will a fascinating thing to watch. We certainly live in interesting times.

1. Ignore their own Primary rules and simply toss someone else's name onto the Ballot, pretend this is all completely kosher. No corruption going on at all. No Sir.

2. Do some heavy harvesting, ignore all procedures about timely results and take a minimum of 2 months to "count" the returns. No fraud going on at all. No Sir.

That's how Democrats win elections.

Now, we'll see if Biden has the guts to fight for his VP. Astounding that a President of the USA caves in to money-men and the media because they were scared of the poll numbers.

Contrary to Trump, this drop out had nothing to do with Biden being "unfit", he's been Unfit for years. The democrat party elite just saw that Biden was losing, panicked, and now we'll get Kamala or someone behind Door number 2.

By all rights, Kamala should be a shoo-in for the nominee, she was elected VP, and she was voted into office by the USA public. She's done as well as any other VP, and a black woman she shouldn't be passed over.

I have zero doubt the New York moneymen told Biden that he could either resign, or more Democratic congress critters would blame him for the Trump assassination attempt. He could never endure that for long before collapsing, and it -would- lead to prison for him personally.

But he endorsed Harris on Twitter, on the same day he said he could win the election no less, and so here we are. A talentless jez with a disapproval above 47% taking on Teflon Don. I couldn't have planned this better.

Trump and the Repubs (well, the Trump-tolerant ones) want Biden to resign and inaugurate Kamala for the rest of his term so that the glass-ceiling argument for electing her is bypassed. That way she can take her place in history as the ethnic Gerald Ford, and Trump can win in the election.

For equal and opposite reasons, the never-Trump crowd (Democrats included, but not just them) wants to deny Kamala the presidency until the election, so that she can campaign on making history (and against denying history).

The wild card is tactical calculation for keeping Biden in the White House until it looks like Kamala needs an October surprise, and then Biden can resign, and she can be inaugurated right before the election.

Second, the demographic that Trump declined with between '16 and '20 was working class, non-college educated whites. No way that Harris doesn't do significantly worse with them than Biden. What is the the quid pro quo here? I find it hard to believe that Harris was in on the assassination attempt. I'm assuming that the reason Biden is holding on to office while ending his re-election bid is related to keeping control over the DOJ / FBI / Secret Service as long as possible, because for Pres. Harris to hang the guilty parties out to dry as a sign of integrity would give her a bigger boost than anything else she could possibly do.

Think of the press conference: "Rogue elements in the FBI/Secret Service tried to assassinate Donald Trump. As much as I oppose Mr. Trump, this is absolutely unacceptable. The responsible individuals have been arrested and will be tried. Blah, blah, blah about integrity."

She would get an AVALANCHE of support, and with the culprits in jail, people might remember their irritation with Trump's quirks and also decide that Harris deserves to be rewarded for showing so much integrity.

It's the best "hail Mary" play I can think of for her.

So I'm assuming that one reason the Biden circle is hanging onto the reins is that someone in there is implicated.

There's no way Hunter doesn't get pardoned, but that would best be done after the election. So Biden has to hang on.

I think the intriguing question is whether Joe pardons himself.

Just FYI, saying you're ok with something is not the same thing as saying or insisting that it should have happened. But you have no principles, so you didn't insist on it. If fact, if you had had principles, you would have insisted he resign or be removed two or three years ago.

Can you not read? Do you not understand English?

I think it's possible that Biden doesn't even know he's dropped out and isn't running any longer. I wonder if they asked him to speak live and do it and he said no, or he's still too sick to do that or what.

And I know it's trite and I always roll my eyes when other people say stuff like this but it's kind of amazing that in our country this stuff happens and no tanks roll in the street. So far it doesn't seem like anything is kicking off. Which is another reason why maybe it would be best if Biden just served out his term. It's really only until the election because once that's decided the transition starts happening and the current administration is in caretaker mode.

She might be kind of lazy, I think, someone who expects staff to do the heavy lifting and protect her from herself, which can be really hard to do if you're an underling trying to figure out what she's prepped for and what she hasn't. The Corporate/Technocrat/Laptop wing of the Democrat party is similar to the Chamber of Commerce/Laptop wing of the Republican Party. They are basically the same group of people and there aren't very many of them. They are just massively over represented in political social media spaces.

Harris will face a whole new ballgame of negative attacks as the Democratic nominee. She is also energizing Democrats and offers a non-80 year old, non-felon, non con-artist, non sexual assaulter as a candidate for president. Trump remains a weak candidate who has never won the popular vote. Voters want a new candidate and Harris provides that choice.

She is rumored to favor Mark Kelly, senator from the battleground state of Arizona, as her vice president. He’s a centrist, former navy aviator and astronaut who will appeal to centrists and independents.

Ultimately Harris will shake up the race and polling. Battleground state races will tighten and a state like North Carolina could come into play.
