"The 45th president indicated that he’s likely to stick with his plan to announce his VP choice at next month’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee."

"'I think it’s – probably I’ll do it the way it’s usually done,' Trump said. 'You announce it at the convention.' The convention runs from July 15 to 18...."

From "Trump hints he has settled on his VP pick: ‘Sort of a pretty good idea'" (NY Post).

What an interesting way to identify him - "the 45th President." Why put it that way? Why not just use his name? How many Americans aren't exactly sure what number we're on?

Is it to deny him a tiny bit of name recognition? Is it to make the point that he already had a go, so he shouldn't get another non-consecutive one? Is it to muddy the waters and stir up hope for a second about which candidate hasn't yet announced a VP pick? (If you just read the beginnings of sentences, as some do, you could miss the "Republican" part of that sentence.) Is it because they already said "Trump" twice in the piece and didn't want to summon him?

If he could only convince Bernie to be his running mate. The two of them would definitely get a landslide in both the popular vote and EC.

Any D’s who can’t swallow the idea that the R’s are now the labor party, would do it if Bernie were on the ticket.

I said Nikki Haley a long time ago, and a lot has happened since then; mostly negative for her.

But she has a wide RINO and independent following that Trump could use.

The 46th president is trying to finish 44's fundamental transformation of America into a ghetto.

JD Vance will be the choice.

He can campaign effectively in PA, MI, OH, WI and MN.

I agree with Dave. JD Vance is the choice.

Of course, we will hear how the election is all about defeating White Supremacy and the Patriarchy from the usual suspects.

I think Virginia's
Glenn Younkin is the
best choice, not another
US Senator. The only mildly
successful senator as prez
was JFK.

Reminder that Manafort played critical role in selection of Pence over Christie, which I thought at the time and have since was very beneficial to Trump. Newt was also on the short list!!!

Trump's funny/sick enough to announce it's Kamala Harris.

If so, Trump's term as 47 would be shorter than William Henry Harrison's (31 days), as Bernie Bros have already demonstrated that they are willing to assassinate their opponents.
