Wrote Trump's lawyers, quoted in "Trump asks N.Y. judge to drop gag order after hush money conviction/Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, said he wants to be able to answer his critics and speak about the trial as he campaigns" (WaPo).
Trump’s defense also pointed to the fact that he’s debating Biden at the end of the month as a reason he needs to be able to speak freely and defend himself. In his comments about the trial, Biden did not address Trump’s guilt or innocence, but said the legal process should be respected and not attacked or undermined.

The corrupt leftist Soviet Judge thinks he rules Trump's life.
Futile, at the moment, but it has to be done. Judge Merchan will be sure to debase the idea of justice further.
In the place between the kangaroo court and a relatively rational Supreme Joe Biden’s handlers send him out to demand respect for the legal process. The process that cannot, does not keep pace with the election cycle.
In the place between the kangaroo court and a relatively rational Supreme Joe Biden’s handlers send him out to demand respect for the process. The process that cannot, will not keep pace with the electoral cycle…
If Trump files an appeal now, would that remove jurisdiction from the trial court such that the trial court could no longer enforce the gag order?
All of Trump's former lawyers are being hounded, harassed and prosecuted - for agreeing to aid Trump legally.
In Soviet Democratic America.
You'll get nothing and like it!
-Merchan channeling his inner Judge Smails
Not that there’s logic to it besides the cover but the gag order means Joe doesn’t have to debate. So the gag stays…
There were no ground for the gag order in the first place.
Perhaps instead of jail time for his felony conviction the judge could just order that his tongue be cut out.
Obama to Biden in Spring with benefits.
Thank God Joe Biden said the legal process "should be respected and not attacked or undermined" as he was leaving Haille Biden's house the night before jury selection in Hunter's trial. The reason for the late night visit was not disclosed, but Haille is the main prosecution witness against Hunter so the White House issued a "we're not interfering at all" statement. The next day first lady Jill Biden sat in to observe jury selection for Hunter's trial from among her co-workers at school, neighbors and family friends, including a former Secret Service employee.
Again, thank God Joe Biden mumbled the words that the process "should be respected," although I for one do not believe him for a millisecond, based mostly upon his continued meddling in every single trial Trump was and is facing.
The witch hunt will progress until he confesses.
When does a gag order normally expire? What’s the point of it now that the trial is over and witnesses have had their say?
Remember that when John Adams said that we were a nation of laws and not men, it was a warning, that courts like the one in NYC that has thrice screwed over Trump by ignoring or twisting the law, have ruled over people through abuse of the law for millennia, not a guarantee that no partisan judge would ever ignore the law for political purposes in the United States, due to some kind of "magic dirt" here. It was more like when Franklin said "It's a republic, if you can keep it!"
The judge here did far more violence to the law than any bookkeeping errors Trump's lawyer may have made in reporting an expense. And somehow you get the feeling that had Trump reported the spending as a campaign expense, he would have been prosecuted for that, because the precedent going back to Gary Hart, is that it's not one.
Of course Hillary misreported the money that she spent buying that faked up Russian "dossier" on Trump as a "legal expense," and I don't even know if she was fined. But it certainly was an attempt to "steal" an election, except only Republicans can steal elections.
The order restricts Trump from speaking about the judge’s family, witnesses and jurors. All of whom remain under considerable threat through no fault of theirs, and with considerable evidence of danger from Trump fanatics.
Trump is free to criticize the prosecution, the judge, the law, and the prosecutor. And he’s free to talk about anything else he wants.
It is a standard order given Trump’s history. He is a convicted felon now. Some of his freedoms may be restricted. See y’all in the Appellate Division where Trump’s lost on this issue before.
This is how the USSR failed. Overreach in foreign policy, and gutting the rule of law at home, oh yeah, and control of the press so that nothing the government did could ever be honestly discussed, except for samizdat outlets, like Althouse has become. At least she doesn't have to use a mimeograph machine to put out her thoughts. That will be next, though.
Don't you dare attack or undermine a corrupt judge and legal system.
I should be shown respect.
imTay - they are watching and smothering.
Trump needs to just say, "Fuck this judge and his gag order,"- dare the corrupt fucker to put him in jail.
It must be raining.
Hillary was fined, but per New York law, she still committed a misdemeanor in that state for the purpose of committing another crime of fraud to hide information from the people of New York, who went on to vote for her over Donald Trump just thwarting his election. I’ve been told this is a grievous crime in the State of New York. I’m sure it will be prosecuted as no man or woman is above the law.
Yeah, right...Biden didn't address his guilt or innocence. Maybe not at that moment, but he has addressed it. WAPO is the Biden mouthpiece also known as Bidens Pravda along with NYT.
As the Biden administration is assaulting the justice system that Biden claims Trump will. HE is DOING IT RIGHT IN FRONT of our faces, and his donors are too stupid to realize they are suckers for a dictatorship in the making...
“For the first time in American history a former president that is a convicted felon is now seeking the office of the presidency,” Biden said at a fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, according to the pool reporter inside the fundraiser.
“But as disturbing as that is, more damaging is the all-out assault Donald Trump is making on the American system of justice,” he continued, going on to call Trump “unhinged.”
https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/03/politics/biden-trump-convicted-felon/index.html
The unhinged are all the people who are targeting Trump because their day is coming, and it won't make them happy at all.
The judge has a license to abuse Trump and he is not giving it up of some normie concept of "fairness" and equality before the law. Same as we will not let the war in Ukraine be resolved, no matter how many Ukrainians, who don't really want the war anyway, die, but as long as we have a free-fire zone and a permit to kill Russians, we are not going to let the opportunity go, just to end a war.
You never let these kinds of opportunities go to waste.
"Hillary was fined, but per New York law, she still committed a misdemeanor in that state for the purpose of committing another crime of fraud to hide information from the people of New York, "
So basically, half the trial is already over! Prosecutor gets a by in the first round! Seems like a slam dunk that they would charge her, considering that the 2016 election is still up for adjudication in New York State!
I do wonder why the lawyer thinks the trial is over when Sentencing has yet to happen.
And I suspect the appeals will start next week, as that judge is too stupid to know when to quit.
In theory — the reasons for the ‘gag order’ have diminished. Although if Trump continues to call for retribution against the witnesses and jury all bets are off.

I'm hanging on to all my typewriters. . . . .
It's a wonder to me that Hillary isn't shaking in her boots, now that NYC is cracking down hard on the kinds of crimes she is known to have committed!
Oh yeah, and now that NYC has criminalized business as usual in the real estate business in NYC, why haven't prosecutors combed the historical records and banking documents of dozens of other real-estate moguls in NY? Oh, that's right, the governor of the state said not to worry, this was only about getting Trump.
"No American is above the law."
My guess would be that people are saying the trial is over is because the trial is over and the next step is a sentencing hearing.
After the verdict, the judge should have immediately lifted the gag order in a show of good faith.
Of course, this is not a good faith exercise.
Biden's evil grin when asked about Trumps trial said it all. That bastard is going lock Trump up in hopes of stealing another election.
Trump needs to be free to point out the workings of a banana republic. He may not need relief from Merchan's gag order to do it. It is foolish to try to use his bully pulpit to address individual charges. He needs to compile a list of his supporters and associates who have been prosecuted, disbarred, etc. and point out that there has never been a corrupt purge of the political opposition to rival this in our history.
His Republican advisors are likely too stupid to think of this.
"Blogger Leland said...

So this corrupt judge could delay sentencing "indefinitely?" and keep the gag order on? Corrupt as hell. I'm thinking dershowitz is right, push for immediate sentencing so you can get it to appeal.
"As the Biden administration is assaulting the justice system that Biden claims Trump will. HE is DOING IT RIGHT IN FRONT of our faces, and his donors are too stupid to realize they are suckers for a dictatorship in the making..."
They are not too stupid, they know exactly what is going on and they condone it. They condone the use of the government to put their political enemies in jail. They do it because they have the big cities where trials are adjudicated and they have the media providing cover. They think they will NEVER have to face this and they are probably right. They have been doing it for 20 years now and never gotten held accountable by anyone, government or voters.
I do wonder why the lawyer thinks the trial is over when Sentencing has yet to happen.

This is somewhat off topic, but I don't think this is very good history.
1. The Soviets did try to recapture bits of the Russian Empire that escaped following the Bolshevik Revolution, but fairly quickly settled into their core program which was keeping in control at home. Sure it tried fomenting revolutions elsewhere but it was actually very cautious in terms of military adventures.
2. As for gutting the rule of law and clamping down on the press, that was done immediately and in accord with Bolshevik dogma. And the Soviet Union lasted for 74 years. So if the lack of the rule of law etc was fatal, it took a very long time to work.
In reality the Russian Empire in 1914 was a rapid growth economic success - governed hopelessly but not very tyrannically by a rather dweeby Tsar. The Great War gave the socialists an opening, which they took, immediately embarking on economically lunatic policies. It was economic failure - agricultural as well as industrial - that eventually killed the Soviet Union, not its foreign policy or (lack of) legal system. And economic failure was not a discretionary policy choice. It was baked into the heart of the ideology.
China has been relatively economically successful - pursuing policies that are closer to fascism than communism, since the departure of Mao - and the lack of anything in the nature of the rule of law doesn't seem to have held them back. Though they were starting from a very low base and may be running out of steam.
"and the lack of anything in the nature of the rule of law doesn't seem to have held them back. Though they were starting from a very low base and may be running out of steam."
Oh, I don't doubt that the wealthy elites will benefit greatly from the immolation of the rule of law, as long as they stay in the good graces of whoever peoples the cabal running this country. The fact that this wealth will come out of the hide of working Americans is not a consideration, after all, paying too much for labor is an "economic inefficiency."
But the Soviet Union had this thing called the "Brezhnev Doctrine" which said that they would support socialist governments under attack anywhere in the world, and the US has this doctrine, almost identical of "protecting democracy" largely because democratic governments are by far the easiest to control, using Soros style mobs, as was done in Ukriaine to remove elected governments we didn't like, and as is currently being done in Georgia (the country), for all all things, the crime of passing a law requiring that if foreign governments are funding your street mob, you have to report it! It's also being done in Hungary, to get rid of Orban, and oh BTW, minority governments are ruling all across Europe because the parties that actually won the election, like in Poland, Spain, and I believe The Netherlands, were unacceptable to Washington.
Wondering: Does a gag order prevent Trump from appearing at rallies with tape over his mouth while, say, Jim Caviezel - a supporter with a fine voice - does the talking?
imTay (9:34am) shows his utter ignorance of what is going on in Ukraine. The only one who can 'resolve' the war is Putin, by withdrawing from Ukraine, and the only way anyone else can convince him to do so is to defeat him.
Saying that Ukrainians "don't really want the war anyway" is the sort of weaselly half-truth that's worse than most lies. Of course they never wanted a Russian invasion. However, as long as the Russians keep raping, murdering, torturing, and abusing hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians in the areas they invaded, while bombing and 'double-tapping' civilian targets every night in the rest of Ukraine, Ukrainians will will continue to support the war of liberation. Here's just one example of what the Russians have done: what a Chornobyl security guard looks like after 27 months in a Russian POW camp: link. Look familiar? Putin's men are in fact acting very much like Nazis.
For the record, even though Hillary committed the same "crime" as a resident of New York State that Trump did, the D.A. in NYC waiting until the last moment when even this "crime" would have been outside the statute of limitations and when the statute of limitations had already expired for Clinton's actions.
Oh, that's right, the governor of the state said not to worry, this was only about getting Trump.
Letitia James corrected her and said it would be used. If I had a business in New York, I'd take the AG seriously.
the statute of limitations had already expired for Clinton's actions.
Statute of limitations had already expired for prosecuting Trump's "fraud", but that didn't stop the DA or the Judge. What matters to the left is "no man (because the left only cares for the patriarchy) is above the law", so what does that statute of limitations mean to them.
I wonder how long Marchan will be able to delay giving a ruling on this?
Because it's so obviously valid that his "no" will make everything he's done subject to appeal.
But he's far too corrupt to rule "yes".
This might be something where in 2 weeks or so with no ruling, Trump simply starts violating it, and calling Marchan's bluff
Because, IMAO, Marchan throwing Trump in jail is the one thing that will absolutely force SCOTUS to get involved in this corrupt shitshow
"Saying that Ukrainians "don't really want the war anyway" is the sort of weaselly half-truth that's worse than most lies."
After the first CIA backed color revolution in 2004, Ukraine quickly elected a Russian friendly government, which then had to be overthrown by a second CIA backed coup, Maidan in 2014. Even then, Zelensky ran on a platform of resolving Ukraine's differences with Moscow peacefully, and won in a landslide. Immediately after taking power, it turned out that Zelensky's promises to the voters expired on Election Day, and the people who actually run the country, accelerated their plan to provoke war with Russia.
Blinken told Putin, two days prior to the invasion, that Ukraine was *going* to join NATO, and that we were *going* to place nukes five minutes flight time from Moscow.
What did the US do when the Soviets put missiles in Cuba? Took us to the brink of armageddon is what. Did you know that there was a nuclear armed submarine in the Caribbean, underwater, and out of touch with command, and with go orders, if needed, and a US patrol boat thought that, after the crisis had supposedly been resolved, it would be fun to ding that submarine with live ammunition, just granted that were no threat to the sub, but how was the captain of the sub to know that? And he came within seconds of launching when the political officer on the sub saved the United States, and Russia, by countermanding the order.
So the only way you can say that the US did not provoke this war is to claim that Russia has no legitimate right to security.
The trump hating Leftwing Judge will keep the gag order in place, and argue that the Jurors and members of the court are still at risk.
Sorry. If you think this "Judge" cares about the law, you are a fool.
The point of this whole Kangaroo Court trial was destroy Trump and re-elect Biden. WHich is why the Leftwing and Biden supporting judge will sentence Trump to Jail or house arrest and make it impossible for him to campaign.
imTay (12:36pm) doubles down, displaying his utter ignorance of Ukraine on an even larger scale. Nothing he writes there is true. Just to take a couple of examples:
1. I do not believe imTay could possibly know what Blinken said to Putin "two days prior to the invasion". He seems to be talking about a time eight years after Russia's initial invasion in 2014, and two days before the gross escalation of 2022. A quick look at Google Maps would have shown him that seizing Ukraine to put nuclear missiles "five minutes flight time from Moscow" would have been stupid. Latvia had already been a member of NATO for 18 years at that point, and (assuming imTay's calculations are correct) its border is six minutes flight time from Moscow. Take over a rather large country to save a minute? Hahahaha! Even Blinken's not that stupid. Not to mention that Estonia and Finland (joined NATO last year) are a minute and a half flight time from St. Petersburg, Putin's home town. And all that assumes that any US administration has ever contemplated a first strike against Russia, which is even stupider.
2. Of course, anyone who checks the time-line knows that NATO expansion was not the cause of Russia's multiple invasions of its neighbors, it was the result. Ukraine had little desire to join NATO until they saw Russia seizing parts of Moldova, Georgia, and then Ukraine. Similarly, Finland and Sweden were proudly neutral until they saw what Putin was doing to Ukraine, and have now joined.
Please go back to writing about other topics, imTay.

The problem is that Trump doesn't want to simply comment on witnesses, jurors, prosecutors, court staff and relatives of those people. He wants to bully and harass in an intimidating and thus threatening way, as he has with the judge and, well, everyone else in the world.
Witnesses and especially jurors and court staff should not have to fear for their safety.
Trump brought all this on himself. If he had ever demonstrated he could restrain his mouth himself, the court would not have needed to do it for him. But he can't.
Request should be denied.

It is important that Mark and Rich spend the next few weeks reminding everyone exactly what Democrats are and identify themselves so that when they start trying to slink away from this Stalinist crap they will not be allowed to escape to come back and try again later.
We also don't want anyone to think that it is just the democrat leadership. It is the entire party. Every single person that supports the Joe Biden Regime is a Stalinist and the only reason they will back down is because they know they are going to face consequences for being enemies of freedom.
They will always try to censor and jail their opponents. The only way to stop them is to defeat them and drive them out.
Achilles:
So not-good of you to lie about me. It wasn't a coup, we didn't foment it, and western and eastern Ukrainians have been fighting together against a Russian invasion (the latter aided by a small number of local collaborators) since 2014. The Russians have been acting very much like Nazis - and Soviets, not that there's any real difference - while the Ukrainians have in fact been following the laws of war. Every night they hit military targets, and every night the Russians hit apartment buildings, hospitals, schools, and civilian power plants, often with 'double taps' so they can kill rescue workers.
And the D.C. money-laundering ended when Zelenskyy was elected on an anti-corruption platform and (the very same month!) Hunter left the country, never to return. Of course, if Ukraine had been bribing D.C. politicians, the supply of U.S. weapons would not have been cut to very near zero for seven months. Try to keep up.

Give us one specific example of Trump calling for retribution against the witnesses or jury.
Just one.
Trump brought all this on himself.
Yes, by defeating Hillary in 2016. Otherwise the Judge and prosecutor brought it on themselves by running a sham trial, and Trump has every right to deride such miscarriage of justice.
True, no one should fear for their safety. I'd like you to say that when your side eggs people on to outrageous acts. Otherwise you can just go sit in the civility bullshit penalty box. Your situational ethics make your side look as bad as they really are.

If Trump remains gagged, I'm hoping Senile Joe will point out he's a "convicted felon" during their debate----if there is one----giving Trump the chance to turn to the cameras to point out

Geez Mark,
You really sound like a true fascist. Is it true that you went to law school?
Was it the same law school as Fidel Castro?
"It wasn't a coup, we didn't foment it"
Except that there is a leaked transcript of senior US diplomats picking the new government of Ukraine *before* the events at Maidan Square even happened. John McCain gave interviews talking about the coming "change of government," and not by election either, prior to the events at Maidan Square which the Ukrainian ultranationalists point to as the reason for the coup.
"And the D.C. money-laundering ended when Zelenskyy was elected on an anti-corruption platform"
LOL! Just google Zelensky and Pandora Papers. And remember that as bad as it it, the CIA and their friends at Google, etc, have been scrubbing it. The BBC is especially in the tank for Zelensky.
But there are honest reports: Ces révélations concernent en particulier les “tractations commerciales secrètes de l’entourage du président Volodymyr Zelensky, des biens immobiliers de luxe au cœur de la capitale britannique, des sociétés qui dissimulent des affaires en Crimée”, et elles ne représenteraient qu’“une partie des découvertes réalisées par les journalistes grâce à la diffusion de ces nouveaux documents”.
Which ChatGPT translates thusly: "These revelations particularly concern the 'secret commercial dealings of the entourage of President Volodymyr Zelensky, luxury real estate in the heart of the British capital, companies that conceal business in Crimea,' and they would only represent 'a part of the discoveries made by journalists thanks to the dissemination of these new documents."
Also, regarding the coup, Ukrainian courts found that the shots fired into the crowd were fired by pro-Maidan snipers, from a building controlled by them, then blamed on the democratically elected government, and not from police weapons. Although a certain poster here likes to point to "findings" by those exact people the courts singled out as having been most likely responsible, exonerating themselves, and claiming that their tests proved that the courts got it wrong.
Biden and Blinken still peddle the lie that it was the government who killed those dozens of demonstrators, and not our "allies" in the soon to be new government that we had already picked out.

As usual, Chuck has a blinder over his left eye.
The only country in the world where people claim the US did not foment the 2014 Ukraine coup is the United States. Every other country in the world knows who got Yakukovych removed. People in all other countries know that the Western Ukrainians spent the next several years killing Eastern Ukrainians sponsored by the United States.
That is because the most propagandized people in the world are Americans.
Our regime is evil.
Deal with it.
And in 2014, Russia waltzed in without firing a shot, and basically kept the same people running the government. Crimea, which had been Russian for far longer than Alaska has been American, simply defected.
Soros predicted in '93. that the US would use Eastern Europeans to fight the Russians. More "proposed" than "predicted," I guess.
Everything was cool though when Ukraine annexed the independent Republic of Crimea in 1995. Because Uncle Sam said it was cool. It would help us in our planned war against Russia. Just like it was cool for. Kosovo to split off, with the help of US armed force, but not Crimea, because it's the "rules based order" which rules are written down nowhere, but basically can be summarized as Washington saying "What are you going to do about it?"
Russia's crime is that it was one of the victors in WWII, and is the last remaining European state that does not call Washington before taking a crap in the morning.

Hmm, let's see:
Was the "independent Republic of Crimea" agreed to be part of Ukraine during the 1994 Budapest Accords? Why yes, yes it was!
So, other than being a Russian front organization used to try to get around what Russia agreed to in the Budapest Accords, exactly what was this "independent Republic of Crimea"?

Am I dishonest, or are Achilles and imTay grotesquely ignorant and too lazy to do the research needed to avoid being steeped in second- and third-hand Russian propaganda? (I spend a half an hour to an hour a day keeping up with events in Ukraine and Russia: that's how I know that nothing they say here is true.)
For instance, "Russia's crime" has nothing to do with WWII, and everything to do with Putin's campaign to rebuild the Soviet Union and to destroy Ukraine, which has shown that Slavs are perfectly capable of freedom, democracy, and progress if the filthy socialists will just get out of the way. So far from intending any "planned war against Russia", most Washington insiders are desperately trying to figure out how to keep Russia from collapsing into chaos, for fear of nuclear weapons being spread around. They're still trying to figure out how to keep Ukraine from losing without letting them actually win. It won't work, of course: one of them will lose, and it's ten-to-one it will be Russia.
I note that neither of my critics provides a single link, and neither of them could be bothered to reply to my point about the Russians torturing, raping, starving (did either follow my link?), looting, abusing, kidnapping, and generally enslaving all the Ukrainians in the occupied territories. Apparently all that is just fine with them.
Of course, the Russian seizure of Crimea in 2014 was in fact a coup d'état, as the Maidan Revolution was not. The Russian KGB man who led it, Igor Girkin, has told anyone who wants to know that the Crimean leaders only voted to secede from Ukraine because he and his men were holding them at gunpoint. It was only (relatively) bloodless because they used overwhelming force. Girkin also started the pseudo-rebellion in the Donbas and shot down the Malaysian airliner, killing 298. I've mentioned him several times before, but the anti-Ukraine crowd doesn't want to hear anything that would shake their confidence in their stupid 'ideas'.
If they just go read with care the detailed Wikipedia articles on 'Igor Girkin', 'Annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation', and 'Viktor Yanukovych', they'll know about ten times what they know now.

I am American. There is nothing for America in this conflict. Nothing at all.
It is childish and boring to call me a Putin supporter or traitor because I don't support this stupidity and the evil actions of our regime. I actually fought in a couple wars so dirt bags here could call me a traitor or a Soviet. You can say I am taking the Soviet side but you can eat two bags of dicks while you are at it.
I am taking the stop starting stupid wars and sending our tax money and weapons to Nazi's to fight the Soviets side. We shouldn't be supporting anyone over there. There are no good guys in war. Ever. The most dangerous people in the world are the ones who think they are the good guys.
The people in Eastern Ukraine and the people in Western Ukraine gain nothing from this war either. Conscription is never enjoyable.
The people in Eastern Ukraine don't think the US is defending democracy. ~90% of them voted for Yanukovych and were upset when the US ousted him. They think we are funding the Azov battalion who has been killing them since 2014. They think that because we have been.
The only people who are marginally invested in this war in Ukraine are the corrupt political class that doesn't have to actually fight themselves much like in the US. It is the same corrupt politicians who are profiting from this warmongering bullshit.

Then you are stupid and dishonest. You are taking information at face value from the people that pushed Russian Collusion. We know who has been caught lying.
Russia attacked Ukraine because Ukraine pulled out of the Minsk Accords. Period. End of story.
Zelensky ran on one issue when he got elected. He promised to sign the Minsk accords. The first thing he did as "President" was to renege on this promise. Since then he has been throwing journalists and political opponents in jail, and has cancelled elections. The most profitable profession in Ukraine is now the to be a member of the press gangs that conscript men to fight the war.
The Minsk accords were agreed upon and popular in Ukraine because Western Ukranians are not particularly interested in killing Eastern Ukrainians. But the corrupt politicians in the West and the corrupt politicians in Kiev want war. So we have war.
Nobody gives a shit about this anymore. You are a liar and all the other warmongers are liars. Your claim of an hour and a half a day of research is a joke. You have posted nothing new.
The US is now trying to destabilize the Government in Georgia just like it did in Ukraine. Georgia wants the NGO's out.
The US is funding "protests" in Israel to oust Netanyahu.
The US just lost a bunch of assets in Africa. A dozen or so African nations have kicked France and the US out. There is a massive war going on all over the continent and it is largely over. Nobody hears about it because France and the west got heir asses kicked.
You asked for links. Here is a link for you and your dishonesty. Washington DC is full of criminals.
Construction is booming in DC. There are no good guys anywhere in this war.

And you're taking the Soviet side?
I thought you were supposed to be an American, not a commie
I am American. There is nothing for America in this conflict. Nothing at all.
Putin is America's enemy. Putin is a former KGB Colonel who regrets the fall of the USSR, looks back fondly on Stalin, and was part of the KGB corruption of America.
Any and all real Americans what him crippled if not destroyed.
There is EVERYTHING for America in this conflict, because Putin is our enemy and always will be, and Ukraine is not.

It is childish and boring to call me a Putin supporter or traitor because I don't support this stupidity and the evil actions of our regime.
I'm calling you a "Putin supporter" because your actions support Putin. it is "childish and stupid" to whine about me correctly identifying what you are doing.
I am taking the stop starting stupid wars and sending our tax money and weapons to Nazi's to fight the Soviets side.
Reality check:
Everyone fighting on the "Russian" side is essentially "Soviet".
There's a vanishingly small group of "Neo-Nazis" on the Ukrainian side. There's a vanishingly small "Neo-Naiz" contingent supporting Trump.
When you call teh Ukrainian side the "Nazi" side", you're being just as asininely stupid as the Democrat are when they call Trump a "Nazi".
We shouldn't be supporting anyone over there. There are no good guys in war. Ever.
So, the US wasn't the "good guys" in the Revolutionary War, or WWII.
Thank you for proving the "Achilles is an anti-American piece of shit" side more thoroughly than I ever could.
I thought better of you
The people in Eastern Ukraine and the people in Western Ukraine gain nothing from this war either.
Since Putin wishes to enslave all of them, and mourns the loss of the guy who inflicted the Holodomor on Ukraine, you have to be pretty stupid to claim that the Ukrainians "gain nothing" from keeping out of Putin's control.
But, apparently you're upset teh the US fought the Cold War, and defeated the USSR
The people in Eastern Ukraine don't think the US is defending democracy. ~90% of them voted for Yanukovych and were upset when the US ousted him.
1: The US didn't oust him, the people of Ukraine did after he sabotaged EU membership and tried to enslave Ukraine to Russia
2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Ukrainian_presidential_election scroll down to "Second round results by oblast"
Donetsk: 91.21%, Luhansk: 89.83%
The rest of the regions voted far less for him
Look at just the places that supported Yanukovych (going down to Kherson, which gave him 60% of the vote), "his side" voted for him by slightly less than 77%
So, as usual on this, you're lying. Either that, you you're defining the entirety of "Eastern Ukraine" as Donetsk and Luhansk. Which would make you a moron.
They think we are funding the Azov battalion who has been killing them since 2014. They think that because we have been.
Gee, and what have THEY been doing since 2014? "Ethnically cleansing" actual Ukrainians out of "Eastern Ukraine"? Trying to enslave every non-Russian in Eastern Ukraine?
Anyone who wants to take part of another country into Russia deserves to be killed. If they want to be part of Russia, they can move to Russia. What they can not legitimately do is try to force anyone else to be under Russian rule, or else to move.
You're right, I don't give a flying fuck about any of the lies that Ukraine tells.
A Ukrainian official has been relieved of her duties over her handling of reports detailing sexual assault allegations made against Russians in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, removed Lyudmila Denisova, the parliament's commissioner for human rights, from her post, according to Ukrainska Pravda. - Newsweek
The Ukrainian parliament fired her because she had no evidence for her allegations of systematic rape. Rapes happen in war time, and that is never going to change, but systematic rape, endorsed from the top? That's a pretty serious charge that she apparently made right out of thin air.
If I wanted to commit intellectual seppuku, demonstrating my stupendously arrogant stupidity for all the world to see, so that no one could ever read anything I wrote without giggling, I would do what Achilles just did in his 10:26pm comment. I would wait until the 80th anniversary of D-Day (it was past midnight in France when he posted it) to write:
"There are no good guys in war. Ever. The most dangerous people in the world are the ones who think they are the good guys."
Hahahahahahaha! Like Eisenhower and all the troops under him? More dangerous than the Nazis they were fighting? Someone who sincerely believes that and calls himself 'Achilles' should change his name to Cleonymus, after Cleonymus of Athens (there were others of the name).
He goes on to tell more stupid and disgusting lies in his 8:34am and 8:35am comments:
1. I never claimed "an hour and a half a day of research", I wrote "a half an hour to an hour a day": 30-60 != 90! Can this clown even read?
2. I am not "taking information at face value from the people that pushed Russian Collusion": I don't read those assholes at all. I have listed my sources at least 4-5 times in this comment section, but I suppose I have to do that again. They're all on Twitter. For translations of what the Russians themselves are saying: @JuliaDavisNews, @wartranslated. For general information on what's happening: @TrentTelenko, @tendar, @noclador, @secretsqrl123, @IntelCrab. For what actual Ukrainians think: @nastasiaKlimash, @Gerashchenko_en. For what Vatniks are up to: @P_Kallioniemi. All these link to other useful accounts. Anyone who follows them, reads them, follows their links, and weighs what they all have to say carefully will (after only a few weeks) know infinitely more than someone who watches clowns like Douglas Macgregor on YouTube.
3. I could refute what he writes about the Minsk accords and Zelenskyy supposedly jailing journalists and opposition politicians and canceling elections, but why bother? This clown doesn't care that it's all (a) lies, and (b) Russian propaganda. As Cousin Vinnie said, "Everything that guy just said is bullshit".
