So, The Stormy Daniels afraid Trump would hire someone to k**l her is the same Stormy Daniels shopping around for a publisher to tell her stories, not once, but on two separate occasions, years apart?
Eva, Clean hands votes is my own term for a voter who knows the candidate she votes for will lose, but won't get down into the mud and mess of real politics and make a decision between two candidates she believes are flawed. It's a way to not accept responsibility for actually making a decision between them that could actually mean something. That way, on December 7th, she can show her clean hands and say, not my fault. I didn't vote for him. Him being whoever wins .
It's an evasion of responsibility in my book. I can see it as almost legitimate when the two who actually stand a chance to be elected have similar positions, and in that case I've done it myself when I voted for Ross Perot. But to be neutral when the Republic is at stake isn't an option in my book. I admire many things about our hostess. She is enormously talented. But on this, well, I'll hold back what I really think until later.
Althouse's support for RFK Jr.- what's it all about? Guys, remember, she called the 2022 election in that the issues most important in that election were the ones she had kept bringing up in her posts the whole year before. I did not have most of those issues at the top of mind. But now I'm very interested in what's top of mind in the blog. It seems like maybe it's all one thing - a concern about the way the Dems are conducting things - how they are treating RFK Jr., how they are treating Trump, how the NYT is reporting on stories with a concern that they are infantilizing their readers - well, this is all my interpretation of the posts. I myself can't see the political scene through the swirling tumult at all. But sometimes in history as one era changes to another there are "partial products" as we used to say in math. People or thoughts are cloudy because they are half in the past and half in the future. As if everybody's ideas were half about a recognizable past and half about a future which is really here but we can't see it. What do these political show trials mean, after all? And this horrible, college antisemitism - is it really widely supported? Or the way journalists and media people are sorting themselves into one of two categories: some becoming barking seals saying whatever .gov wants; some becoming part-time voices crying in the wilderness. Bill Maher, part-time prophet, part time liberal dolt? there's comedy gold. And yet... you listen to him and you can hear, he'd can't help trying to tell the truth about the deadly, inanity of the world he sees. No joke.
Lem: You are easily sucked into conspiracies - this one was invented by losing Trumpian gubernatorial candidate, Kerri Lake.
An investigation by a retired Arizona Supreme Court justice found the cause of those printer problems was the switch to larger ballots printed on heavier, thicker paper – not malicious actors. County officials have repeatedly said that all legally cast ballots were counted and included in the official results. The county’s older Oki B432 printers failed to stay hot enough to consistently print ballots dark enough on the heavier paper to be read by the tabulators at the precincts. Those ballots had to be taken to scanners in downtown Phoenix for counting.
I liked that golden moment. Sometimes it seems like such an ugly world but then I see that if I would get out of bed and watch the sunrise I'd see every day there's more than politics.

I suspect it's voting for someone who doesn't have a chance to win. No matter what happens, "it's not your fault."

It looks similar to his US southern border policy.

Katt Williams, Netflix . Tig Nataro, Prime.
Each an established comedian. Each mediocre. Katts' audience not real excited and kind of quiet about some of his jokes and observations.
Tigs' audience wildly appreciative of all her material.
I did laugh a few times, but unable to watch more than 20 minutes at a time without changing the channel. Haven't completed either show yet.
On the other hand, there are a few people here who can intentionally elicit a smile and an occasional genuine laugh-out-loud.
Some of the laugh -out -loud comments from others unintentional, but still more funny than the aforementioned professionals.
