Via a link in Instapundit. Huge, if true:

Earlier this year, Aaron Strauss, an influential data scientist, warned major Democratic donors in a confidential memo that has since been obtained by the Washington Post to refrain from registering young and black voters ahead of the 2024 election. Why? Because they're likely going to vote for Trump.

As a Republican I say that if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true. But one can always hope.

Wow. It is beautiful. Came out in 1967.

If you Google it, I highly recommend the 2006 performance in Denmark. Almost 40 years later, and it sounds better.
You all were lucky!!

Well, Zach Edey is in the NCAA championship game. Let’s see if Donovan Clingan can get there.

M Emmet Walsh lived in northern Vermont, in a frowsy little town. If you go out for breakfast in any of the little diners in the area you will see that he fit right in with the unkempt grey hair and beard. I saw him at a golf course once, well, he was driving where the road to the parking lot ran close to the first tee, and he stopped for my playing partner to hit, and I looked at him and thought "I know that guy!" but I didn't know who he was, but the next day, I saw him in a movie I was streaming, which struck me as a hell of a coincidence, but he has been in a lot of movies, but he had just made this one, so he looked the same. He drove an inexpensive little Chevy, and in the town where he lived, according to his bio, I can't imagine that there is a home a Hollywood actor would choose. So I think that he was very dedicated to living a simple life, despite the way he made a living. He was great in Blade Runner, and I really liked him in Slapshot, "Dickie Dunn! If Dickie Dunn says it, you can take it to the bank!"

Oddly, I had been recently confidently assured by the entire set of the failed backbench (because surely they are not the best the New Soviet Democraticals could send...surely not, eh?) LLR-democratical crew (Rich, Violent homosexual rape rape fantasist Chuck, lonejustice) that the Trump campaign was completely unable to raise campaign funds from wealthy donors in large amounts.

This was asserted most vehemently by our loser LLR-democratical crew after Dementia Boy's $25M fundraiser with longtime Epstein child rape client Bill Clinton and Marxist obambi.

And yet today, somehow, in what must be a typo, the Trump campaign supposedly raised $50M in a single day.

Well, gee. I am not sure what to believe! All I can go on and fall back on is the continuing 100% Narrative failure rate of our resident LLR buffoons.

Although I would caution anyone with youngish male children in particular MI neighborhoods in the greater Detroit area to keep a close eye on those male children...for reasons that should require no further explanation.

Be safe out there kiddos.

In the summer of 1967 I had finished my junior year as a math major and was getting ready for my senior year. Yes, I heard it played a lot on the radio, and that fall in the dorm. But there was a lot of great music that came out back then.

Leonard Leo, head of the Federalist Society, has acknowledged nurturing the careers of a whole generation of young conservative attorneys.

One young judge he helped move along was Judge Aileen Cannon, who now serves in the Southern District of Florida and who oversees the criminal proceedings for Trump's Mar-a-Lago documents case. She is relatively young and inexperienced to be appointed to a federal court of appeals but was high on Leonard Leo's watch list. So when there was a position that he thought that he could get her appointed to, he stepped in and helped out.

Leo helped at every step of her career. Leonard Leo did a big service for Donald Trump when he was president, putting together a list of potential justices from the many young Federalist members he has known since law school. He has nurtured them. He has helped instill in them these hard-right conservative positions. So that when they get on the court, which happens when there are justices who he's recommended — or when they argue before the court, in the case of solicitors general who he has recommended — he's creating a system to fully carry out his conservative values.

Sadly his conservative values do not include honesty. Power is what power does to the lowly citizenry. With delays being imposed in the ongoing trials of TFG, the Leo Supermajority Supreme Court and Aileen Cannon have chosen Donald Trump over democracy. Of course, Judge Cannon is looking for an appointment as justice on the Supreme Court should Donald win the election but that may not happen anyway unless Leonard Leo says yes.

Let's test that...

Hey Gadfly, be honest, tell us your thoughts on Lara Merchan having worked for 3 years as a Special Assistant to Letisha James? I'm sure you know Lara's daughter Loren is President of a Democrat Super PAC that has raised $93 million to defeat Donald Trump. This is the wife and daughter of the Judge presiding over a criminal trial against Trump. Now Gadfly, wouldn't you think any reasonable prosecutor would demand a Judge with this level of conflict of interest recuse themselves from the trial? Heck, wouldn't you think the Judge would know better without the AG reminding them? Come on Gadfly, be honest for once in your life and tell us.

If you want to even pretend that the President of the Federalist Society is dishonest because he supports non-related members of his society; then you have to acknowledge the dishonesty of the President of Authentic Campaigns having their parent prosecute a political rival.

More evidence, including charging documents, of the 2 tiered system of justice in America:

Byron York
@ByronYork

11 months in jail is an extremely harsh sentence in this January 6 misdemeanor case. The guy walked into the Capitol, wandered around for half an hour, and left. (See documents here: https://justice.gov/usao-dc/defendants/vo-antony
) DOJ relies on part-of-the-mob theory that any individual, even if he or she didn't do much, can be held responsible for serious crimes attributed to the mob as a whole. Meanwhile, check out 4-month sentence of man who pleaded guilty to felony rioting and felony assault on a police officer in January 20, 2017 inauguration day riot: https://justice.gov/

Yes. And not just because we got to see all the great bands in the 60s. For me it was The Who, Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Canned Heat, Chicago, BS&T, and many others.

I'm Ann's age. She and I and all the rest of the Boomers got to live in the greatest age for humanity in history. We were fed and educated better than even royalty of 50 years prior. We learned how to use algorithms and read books, then had the benefit of universal computation and Kindle and Netflix. We had freedom, not just to do stuff and say stuff without fear of cancelation, but to to think and come to our own conclusions. We grew up with free time.

Everything may be easier now, but it is worse. And it is getting worse by the day. We're not quite in the "lamps going out all over Europe" phase, but it is in sight.

Now if you would be so kind as to get the hell off my lawn...

Trump wore a blue tie to the latest fundraiser. Is he trying to win over blue voters? Or is he thinking blue voters are completely Pavlovian in their responses and they will vote for Trump in a blue tie who cannot be Dreaded-Trump because Dreaded-Trump wears red ties?

Or is he trying to reassure Jewish voters? who are thrashing about in a panic as they notice that the Democratic party they've been supporting wants them all dead - Israel first, seculars with religious, all gone from the river to sea; then move on to the US, repeat. The only good settler-colonialist is a missing word settler-colonialist. But, the Democratic-party-supporting Jews think: how can I be an EWWW aka Republican!!! But then, they think, the same people saying Republicans are EWWWS are saying Jews are the worst EWWWs in the world. Is it that Jews are not EWWWS but Republicans are. And they wonder: Should we beat in the doors of our thought brothers, the Dems in their underground thought tunnels connected to Hamas, till they let us back in and we can all shoot at the EWWWS still outside? or should we ask whether we did not understand the present: we did not understand Hamas and we did not understand either the Dems or Trump and his people? But we can still rise.

Drago, occasionally I get tired of letting petty authoritarian Marxist like gadfly get off with a half-hearted insult as a response. Gadfly needs to defend the slander posted here. If they believe any word of what they wrote, then they’ll demand Merchan’s recusal. Otherwise, Gadfly’s comment is just rank slander, but posted because they really want to prohibit the Democratic process by removing Judge Cannon and allowing to stay in judgment of Trump a hopelessly compromised Judge like Merchan. Gadfly has no interest in honesty or justice, and a person like that should be treated as the severe threat they pose.

Reasons why “Whiter Shade of Pale” was just another good song in 1967:

In 1967 Aretha Franklin was teaching us how to spell “RESPECT.” The Beatles were telling us that “All You Need is Love,” and telling us all about “Penny Lane.” Johnny Cash and June Carter were singing a duet about “Jackson.” Marvin Gaye was telling us that “There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” The Doors wanted you to “Light My Fire.” The Jefferson Airplane sang about a “White Rabbit.” The Stones had a song called “Ruby Tuesday.” My point being that there was a lot of great music in 1967.

Ahead was graduation in 1968 and the loss of my 2-S deferment. Two assassinations, with mindless rioting after Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered. A President finally facing up to the reality he was too unpopular to be re-elected and telling us on national TV that "Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your president.".

And on the day after Christmas, 1968, I received my induction notice.
