"It can’t be. It can not be! If he is, he wins the election. You won’t be on this show anymore. He’ll come looking for me. You know, there’ll be things that happen that none of us can imagine...."

Said Robert De Niro, quoted in "Robert De Niro Goes Off on ‘Total Monster’ Trump and His Fans In Epic Rant on Bill Maher — Calls Him Every Name In The Book" (Mediaite).

Ironically, De Niro's rhetoric is quite similar to Trump's — predicting a decline that no one can imagine. We won't have a country anymore!

Who exactly are the people removing people from shows, anyway? Who got rid of Rosanne? Tim Allen? Who got Tucker Carlson fired from Fox?

Every accusation is a confession with the Democrats. They learned it from Goebbels. It muddies the waters and makes it hard for normies to get to the bottom of things.

De Niro should stick to acting.

People who have been brainwashed in the way that Robert DeNiro has been are the kind of people who are most likely to try to assassinate Trump. They view him as akin to Hitler, and Hitler is the kind of person who "should" be assassinated (in their minds).

It's funny how they recently have resurfaced their trope about Trump running as some kind of "strongman" but not Joe Biden! He is "masterful!" you know, like that Italian guy! Oh wait, oh no! Not like him! Like some other guy who raised up his followers as masters and natural rulers of the people who supported the opposition... can't think of his name...

"In Soviet Union, they disappeared you, but in America, we only make you invisible, it's a whole different thing!"

What a bloated sense of importance he has.

I don’t care for either Maher or DeNiro. Both are delusional blowhards. Trump may also be a blowhard, but not as delusional.

DeNiro just rants like a child. He calls Trump all sorts of names without giving any examples that lead him to those conclusions. He’s a good actor acting badly.

DeNiro is a very sick man. Bobby...thinks the world revolves around Bobby. His TDS has so captured his brain, it has become his persona. He loves the adulation he gets from his tribe when he says nasty things about Trump. It's such a common mindset now that it's at best tedious, but at worst, a sign of mental impairment. DeNiro is showing the worst of it.

It's the "gadfly effect." Complete detachment from current reality and projection of your own preferred government's present practices onto what your enemies might do if they are somehow allowed to be in charge.

You aren't that important Bobby. You ,obviously, are deliberately ignorant to the machinations of your fellow leftist traitors. And are deliberately, or perhaps, admiring of the destruction of the economy and the sellout of the country to the chicoms by joey bidet and his ilk. Bugger off.

I think that's true. That's what happened the first time. But as in 2016, it won't be Trump. It will be the left's reaction to Trump that drives it.

Robert De Niro is a politically left-wing lunatic. However, he's also a great actor. Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, The Godfather, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, Once Upon a Time in America, The Untouchables, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Wag the Dog ... the list goes on and on. He has incredible talent. Too bad he doesn't stick to just being a great actor.

A great actor - for what that’s worth - but DeNiro is a little slow on the uptake. And he, too, should not be in close proximity to children.

What the Democrats fear is truth and accountability if Trump returns.

They are "prepping."

That's why they stoke this specter through their surrogates.

So, that if they are ever held to account, they can call it a round-up of Trump's enemies.

Guilt laden oppressors who enable abuse and overlook evil have to have ways of alleviating their guilt. So they act out in ways with overcharged emotions on things that help them ignore what they do have power over while getting acclaim from those who share their guilts. Cussing at Trump is the new crying at Pagliacci.

Imagine how much abuse De Niro could have helped end if he chose to. Instead he's the Trump he despises Trump for being.

Sad!!

Watched Fockers 3 last night, and the two were together. Not as good as Fockers 2, when she did sex counseling for his wife and him. He played his usual uptight character, while she played the libertine sex positive therapist. Dustin Hoffman was her husband, getting DeNiro out of jail, but the latter mostly played against Ben Stiller. There was even an epic battle in the kiddie ball pit between the two, until the Cat ate his little boy’s lizard and Stiller, a nurse, saved it, then him after he had a heart attack. Stupid funny, but that’s what we were looking for before going to bed.

What’s interesting about the Fockers movies was that it revolved around the tension between the proto-MAGA, retired CIA, DeNiro against the lowly nurse (Stiller) with a hippie lawyer father (Hoffman) and sex therapist mother (Streisand). Of course, since it was Hollywood, the lefties always won, and DeNiro always ended up looking ridiculous. But that got me thinking - in a lot of the roles that made him famous, he played an angry proto-MAGA character. And did it well.

I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure DeNiro said these exact same things in 2016.

Can we stop pretending that Robert deniro is relevant. He’s old man yells at cloud level anymore.

Skeptical Voter said...

Somehow DeNiro I don't think Trump gives a flying fig about you. He's certainly not going to bother to "come looking for you" if he wins in November. Actors do have tremendous egos. Somehow DeNiro has persuaded himself that he is relevant to anything.

Skeptical Voter said...

I had a second thought about DeNiro. He may have been hanging around with Meathead Rob Reiner. That's one way to get a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Sebastian said...

Let's add the DeNiro proviso to the Althouse theorem: People don't believe what they profess to believe but a professional actor can make you think otherwise.

Still, do progs actually dig this stuff? I mean Trump was hounded for years by the deep state, he is being persecuted on several fronts, Dems are trying to jail and bankrupt him, they've rounded up and punished his allies--and that guy is going to come looking for some actor and kick someone off some show, how?

I now regard most of these people as hate-filled freaks. Mental cases. They froth at the mouth, but cant explain in any rational way why "Trump is Hilter". I can now understand why you had things like the Spanish Civil war. The leftist take power, go bat-shit crazy, dial up the hatred to 11/10 and normal people have to resort to armed struggle.

I started to pity these people and laugh at them. 8 fucking years is enough. Now, i despise them, and worry about them getting more power.

I've seen him frothier. Raging Bullshit. Still, he's never quite achieved the sublime level that Jane Fonda achieved on her trip to Vietnam. I'll still watch his movies, but I'll go out of my way to avoid anything with Fonda in it....He's a talented actor. So, by all accounts, was John Wilkes Booth. Actors should read up on John Wilkes Booth. Booth literally broke his leg while trying to upstage Lincoln and the Civil War. A performance for the ages.

When they recognize the absurdity of their own hysteria, they are driven to rationalize it publicly. Which pushes them to ever greater absurdities. That’s the story of the last eight years.

The difference here, which appears obvious to non-democrat party members but eludes the thinking of the superior intellects in the mandarin classes, is that DeZero's rhetoric is hysterical, uncivil bullshit. Trump has been president and none of the calamities that any overheated democrat party members ranted about ever came remotely close to being true. Despite the Daily Hate pouring without pause from the Democrat Party Propaganda Complex which upset so many seemingly reasonable people that they just wanted Trump gone so that it would stop, life was better when he was president. The Trump rhetoric is true and every American can see that.

Yeah, that Trump. If you listened to him long enough, you'd start to imagine that America's legal system is being turned into a political weapon, our medical system has been taken over by drug-pushers who will kill us for a buck and perverts who want to sexually mutilate our children, and our cities are being rendered uninhabitable by an army of street-dwelling drug addicts supported with our taxes by corrupt, left-wing municipal careerists, while the country is being invaded by tens of millions of foreigners of military age. The imagination on this guy! The things he'll say, just to get elected!

But that’s OK. You know, they say when you do this kind of an event you always start out with a self-deprecating joke. Some people think this would be tough for me, but the truth is …
