"A suspicion of mine is that there are too many preachy females [dominating the culture of the Democratic party]."

"'Don’t drink beer. Don’t watch football. Don’t eat hamburgers. This is not good for you.' The message is too feminine: 'Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.' If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my go-to place for that — the whole talk is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election. I’m like: 'Well, 48 percent of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?'"

Said James Carville, quoted in the Maureen Dowd column, "James Carville, the Cajun Who Can’t Stop Ragin’" (NYT).

ADDED: The quote above followed the observation by Dowd that "Lately, [Carville] has been obsessed with Biden bleeding Black male voters."

Oddly enough, the very next thing I saw was this clip from the new episode of Bill Maher's show, where he's advising Democrats to give up racial politics:

That isn't any sort of lofty philosophy. The point is that race consciousness is not working this year. Donald Trump is gaining in popularity with black men, and something must be done. There's no sincere embrace of "colorblindness," though Maher puts on a hammy show of it.

It's funny that Carville's remarks were much more about sex than race. You can tell Carville wants old-time maleness to regain dominance and he's irked by the femaleness of the Democrats. He needs black men in his party, but his idea of how to get them is to make the Democratic Party masculine again.

Gays too. Don't forget gays. Lots of them. The modern democratic party is an alliance between suburban wine Beckies and homosexual hangers-on...or maybe the wine Beckies are the hangers-on. It's so confusing figuring out which femmes are the ones fucking and which ones are being fucked, ya know?

Betcha they have the same problem too.

My suspicion is that Carville is choosing his words carefully. Women have given the Democratic Party the power it needed to set the country on its current path to destruction. Carville has gotten to cash a lot of big checks from the process.

Note that Carville is cavilling at the tone of Democratic Party messaging, and of course not raising questions about the actual substance. He would never challenge the left on its absurd overspending, destructive immigration policies, the stoking of ethnic and gender grievance, the valorization of homosexuality and transgenderism, the demoralization (in both senses) of the middle class, etc. etc.
And this guy pretends to be a brave independent voice.

Boys-versus-girls politics took over the Democrats versus Republicans by the Clinton Administration. This followed from "I feel your pain" and efforts to goose Black female and anxious pro-abortion female voters. "Soccer mom's will win the election..."

The all-female all the time strategy reached a logical, ingrown conclusion when the Party sacrificed females on the altar of transgender male dominance. Blind (stereotypical) female compassion indeed leads to self-destructive gifts to those who need to be called out and who should not have gifts (career shoplifters, race grifters, criminal immigrants, passive-aggressive transgendered males, child molesters, etc.).

And now JK Rowling is the left's enemy...

It is interesting that Carville goes there. Many of the problems that our country and the world are having right now is the empowerment of Karen.

Women who do nothing but whine and nag have been given positions of power in Government Bureaucracy, Corporate HR departments, University Administration, and k-12 education.

They do nothing productive for society and they are given status and wealth to nag productive people. With the ability to vote they have support in government and they are given more status and more power.

The ability to vote needs to be restricted to people who meaningfully contribute to society.

Not to worry, the Democrats are simply buying Republican resignations from the House, so it's not like elections matter.

First the Republicans kicked out Santos, when we didn't have to, then Ken Buck resigned and now Mike Gallegher, they are buying resignations, and if they get enough of them, they will simply buy the House prior to the election. Or at least prior to certification of Trump's election, should he win, where they will then refuse to seat him as President, based on their psy op on J6. Ken Buck said that there would be 3-5 more resignations coming, and here is one.

his idea of how to get them is to make the Democratic Party masculine again.

It’s a sound approach. It’s not just men who get turned off by over-feminization. A lot of women don’t like it either. The real voice of the Democratic Party may billionaires and giant corporations, but their public face is over-educated under-employed “skinny fat” kids with blue or pink hair. It’s not a look that’s going to attract a person with any kind of dignity.

The simple solution is for a lot of men to become women in a targeted way. That is, they don't, let us say, give up (choke) anything (cough, cough) but they do announce a new identity. That's all that's needed these days. Then, as women, they claim football, hamburgers and beer as the new normal for women. In a short while, the old normal will be the new normal but improved by a new, purer identitarian additive. But what will happen to women-women? We still will do just what we want while pretending we now love pick-up football and can't wait to get out there. It will work because we won't be wanted where we don't want to go and we won't go there and no one will miss us. "Sorry, I can't make it to the pickup game today, I'm going shopping. Next time." "sure, sure." So Women-women will be OK. Indentitarian feminists will be knocked flat and stepped on until they grasp fundamental and self-evident facts which I am not going to specify. It's a little sad to think of them during their learning process but the present child mutilation spree which identitarian feminists support is pretty sad, too.

People are starting to realize the root of the problems our country face.

Our corporations stopped trying to go to the moon or solve real problems after the internet was developed. All of the wealth moved into Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Facebook.

Social media and shopping.

Women have been given status and wealth through Government Bureaucracy, Corporate HR departments, University Administration, and K-12 education.

All of this wealth is now directed to things women find important. Socialization and shopping.

The anger directed at Musk and his companies is because he is doing things that men want done.

There is a meme about women complaining men don't have feelings because they didn't cry when Decaprio drowned. But we can confirm men have feelings because we did cry when Starship made it to orbit.

You can argue about priorities.

In my opinion though the world is better when the priorities align to exploration and invention rather than cat pictures and tik tok dancing.

No, the problem in the House Republican caucus is that the tRump Swab caucus are more interested in social media hits then they are at governing. When your only lever is a slim majority in one house of Congress you are not going to get everything you want. Sometimes settling for 50% is a victory.

Liberal white women have destroyed the country because weak white men have

It isn't about liberal or conservative. It is about women who seek pair bonding relationships vs. women who seek dominant male/harem breeding regimes.

About 30-40% of women seek pair bonding. 60-70% of women seek dominant male/harem relationships.

Women who pair bond stay in relationships and raise children with fathers around.

304's get knocked up and either suck the life out of men financially or depend on the state and raise more 304's.

Pair Bonding is obviously more conducive to a free high trust society. But women biologically are driven to act like 304s.

When the dominant breeding paradigm is pair bonding more men are involved in having and raising children. When the 304's take over and do their 304 thing about 20% of males have children and most do not participate in raising the children.

The problem is allowing 304s and the 20% of male 304s to vote and dominate society. Our government has been pushing the harem breeding regime to tear our society apart for a long time in many different ways.

If “The Talking Skull” is right then those preachy females do not much care about the challenges facing young women in the 21st century. We can presume that the preachy females do not use a gym very much, or else they’d have more appreciation for the plight of young women forced to share showers with biological males, and forced to sit there and take it when a biological male flippantly says he’s trans, then literally waves his penis in their face. Evidently the preachy females don’t go jogging, or perhaps they’d have more sympathy for Laken Riley, more empathy for the people who knew her and miss her, and more willingness to deport criminals who are here illegally. And it seems crazy that these preachy females fought so hard for Title IX, but shrug when the first place medals and trophies go to second or third-tier biological male athletes.

And no Democrat female, preachy or otherwise, seems to care much about the plight of female prisoners forced to share their cell with a biological male (who may even be behind bars on a charge of rape).

I see Rafe noted this above but I think it bears repeating that the Congress which will certify the Electoral College on 6 January 2025 is the one sworn in on 3 January 2025 composed of the members elected on 5 November 2024, plus Senators still serving. The resignations conceivable could impact the outcome of elections but won't have the direct impact on the composition of the House in 2025 that is implied.

Steve Hayward has noted that you could just as easily describe the 'gender gap' as too few men voting for Democrats as too few women voting for Republicans. If I recall correctly the difference is almost entirely due to the percentage of unmarried women who vote Democrat since married women are much more evenly divided between the two parties.

Carville and Maher are both, in their different ways, talking about what's not working for Dems -- what's driving away the voters the Dems need. The point is that a voter's political identity is often more a function of what the voter is against than what he's for. That's one of Trump's strengths -- he's quite clear at communicating what he's against (illegals, crime/defund the police, race quotas, PC/woke, etc.) and his MAGA rallies really drive the point home. What Trump is for comes down to stopping what he's against. Same with so many MAGA candidates (Kari Lake and JDVance come to mind). The Biden/Dems have a problem responding to that or in communicating what they're against (MAGA mostly) and what they're for (abortion seems to be top of the list at election time, which must drive Carville crazy).

I will give him credit for recognizing the problem.

People are going to be pissed when they realize they have been betrayed by the party they've been loyal to for years. Blue collar jobs are being lost to "newcomers". You'd think that a Democrat Party dominated by women would be the party of civilization. Instead, it's the party of barbarism. They love criminals and disdain victims. Their solution for the homeless druggie vagrants is to supply housing rather than drug treatment. They want unlimited illegal barbarians crossing our borders while never wanting to deport illegal barbarian criminals. They want gun confiscation which puts women at risk from criminals. Democrats support free love so women are at a higher risk for pregnancy and become a cash cow for Planned Parenthood.

Liberal women do have a tendency to embrace the fake-gender ideology, which puts their kids at risk for sterility.

Democrats have done everything they can to undermine civilization.

The Bill Hillary marriage defines the current progressive coalition.

About 20% of the male population that seeks harem style relationships and deposit sperm in random cum dumpsters.

About 60% of the female population that looks for the highest status male to deposit cum in her dumpster every so often.

Neither of these groups is particularly interested in the men participating in raising the resulting children. Except for women who use paternity to get free money when they can.

The only problem Hillary had with Bill being a male whore/predator was it damaged her chances to gain power and wealth. She actively attacked and shamed his rape victims who she viewed as mere impediments to her will to power.

And the women in the Human Resources Revolutionary Front in this country voted for both of these people wholeheartedly. If you voted for Bill and Hillary you need to look in a mirror and really come to grips with how much damage you have done to our society and what motivated you to do so.

Those women who don't lockstep subscribe to progressive politics often must refrain from political discussions with longstanding women friends of "woke" political persuasion, in order to maintain these friendships. Many women self-identify as "progressive-democrats" from safety of their self-chosen majority white suburban upper-middle-class bubble, where one's political rhetoric is rarely challenged by real life experiences.

Speaking of Hillary Clinton, she shamed her husband's willing and unwilling sex partners as if hound-dog Bill had no responsibility or personal choice in his numerous sexual infidelities. In doing so, Hillary promoted the "slut" narrative, disrespecting women, and negating Bill's multiple sexual assault crimes of coercing sex from reluctant lower-status women.

Those pink pussy-hat women protesting Hillary's presidential election defeat likewise negated both Bill's sex crimes, and Hillary's tolerant dismissiveness of those sex crimes.

That's when we stopped being "democrats". Hypocrites, all of them.

Still haven't embraced the republicans. Politics is a nasty business.

Black and Hispanic men are flocking to Republican candidate Trump, because he represents "religion" of personal prosperity for working-class males. Go check-out an African Methodist Episcopal Church congregation, or a Prosperity Gospel Church, they're not Biden supporters anymore. Progressive-democratic agenda, its "free money for everyone EXCEPT working-class males", is not attractive to many POC men. They see vast social welfare governmental-network intends to negate human incentive for personal betterment.
