Saw a bunch of guys fishing out of a pontoon boat with a little hut built on it, and a porch, a little table. It was like a little camp. I am guessing they had a fridge for beer, maybe a deep fryer for the fish they were catching. It looked like fun.

Who could possibly predicted that all but emptying the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to help Democrats in the mid-terms, at the same time we were picking a war with one of the largest energy producers, "A gas station with an army" as Lindsay Graham called it, would leave Biden with his hands tied while the Saudis and the Russians simply waited for those releases from the reserve to be consumed and now can cut production and raise prices at will.

And if your response is that production is higher now than it was under Trump, well, up to the pandemic, US production was on a far steeper climb than it is today, and the economy is larger today, you know, five or six million illegals are now here consuming gasoline for one thing, so in relative terms to the size of the economy and population, production is *still* lower than it was under Trump.

I am always grateful to the Democrats for stopping Trump from refilling the SPR at $24 a barrel, though. We really dodged a bullet there!

I see there is a program called "Krapopolis" on network tv. I'm so old, I can remember when radio stations bleeped out "crap" in the first line of Paul Simon's "Kodachrome".

AG Garland, interviewed on 60 Minutes (just now on West Coast), tremendously impressive. But 70, so I hope he retires before the '24 election.

Michael Lewis, up next, looks promising.

Michael Lewis gets 2 segments. Think i'll read his book, Going Infinite, released Tuesday. Can't take SBF's voice for more than a minute. Lewis's interviews reached triple figures.

RedSox Nation mourns beloved RedSox for ever Tim Wakefield, only 57, dead of brain cancer. R.I.P

Tim was there in 04 when the curse was finally broken. Everybody agrees they couldn’t have done it without Tim.

Tim helped tirelessly raise money for the Jimmy Fund cancer research.

It’s true, the good dies young. 😭

It's a good thing Jamaal Bowman did not have his finger on the nuclear red button. "I thought it was a vending machine."

…that’s a very pro argument for immigration.

Got an interesting perspective on the Southern border crisis from my two school teacher daughters who specialize in special education, both as department heads in poorer Georgia school districts. They say the continuing influx of non-English speakers is devastating Black education in their schools at a time when Black kids, especially those with special needs are still trying to recover from the lost education opportunities and remote learning failures during the pandemic. Nearly every available resource is apparently being consumed by the migrant children and none of the Black parents are aware of how it is impacting their children. They say the breadth of the problem is unprecedented because of the multitude of languages the migrant children speak which multiply the language resources required, plus the unsettled nature of the families involved. They also suspect some of the children are being abused, but the school councilors aren't even able to communicate effectively with all the non-Hispanic students so are largely unable to identify the issues. The gutting the education of a generation of Black kids is going to be one added result of Biden's border policies, such as they are. Both say they have never been more pessimistic about their ability to make a difference. The main thing that I took away from our conversation is this migrant mess is screwing the country in ways the general citizenry isn't even aware of. Thanks Brandon.

Wakefield was a wonderful human being on and off the field. The afternoons the knuckleball was dancing made baseball worth watching. Tim was always generous with his time for fans.

Lately the good ones seem to go early while the baddies hang on forever…

If Ukraine needs so many billions, why don't Hunter's clients in Ukraine pony up to protect their homeland? They have billions of dollars, after all. Oh, that's right, that's what they are paying Hunter for, protection of their wealth.

The graft has to flow back to Washington. How else is Nancy Pelosi going to pay for her botox and face lifts?

On CNN's "State of the Union," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said Sunday she would vote to recall McCarthy. So Matt Gaetz has at least one strong supporter in Congress.

@jaydub Re: The impact of immigrants of education.

You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the full impact of the immigrant invasion is realized on the medical system. Withholding medical care to the boomers is on the horizon.

As long as black parents vote Democrat despite Democrats abusing their children, their children will be abused. This is elementary identity politics.

You'd like to think so. But, Alas. He's dedicated to the narrative and to Biden. The country be damned.

This is the only place I could think of to put this:

“National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), people assigned female at birth are three times more likelyTrusted Source to develop migraine than people assigned male at birth. People…”

Assigned at birth, now. Yikes.

I really love these photos- the clouds, especially.

Democrats don't care. They never have. It's about the votes and therefore the graft. They want all blue collar jobs to be illegal immigrant jobs. They don't complain. They want all white collar jobs to be controlled by the government. Somebody in the Justice Department or the FBI,(same thing) or OSHA, or the EPA says 'dance' they dance.
My oldest daughter teaches eighth grade math. In California. Almodst none of here special needs students speek english. Very few can read or write their native language. We are in trouble.

farmgirl@1115--

Isn't it obvious that to stop migraines among those formerly called women, all infants should be assigned 'male' at birth?

They'll also be bigger and stronger, on average.
