L.A. guy finds it stressful to order a "scooped" bagel in NYC.

It's TikTok, so I'm making a page break because I don't want to hear complaints:

I'm from L.A. and I don't recognize that guy.

LOL, California. What the hell is a "scooped" bagel?

Complaints? You want us to use an application which features these people with their mental illness' being exposed for the amusement of and enrichment of other people. A horrid application designed specifically to entrap Americans in an endless scroll of dopamine hits.

That's awful. And when you do awful things, you should expect complaints.

he kind of lost me when he said...

"there is nothing more stressful than ordering a bagel in New York City."

heh

"those Jews in New York are so mean and tough, when I try to order their food, they scare me back to Cali."

You might try vacationing in Israel right now.

Or Gaza, have your honeymoon in Gaza.

Or, shit, trying being a pro-lifer at Harvard.

Try doing a stand-up comedy routine where you tell people there are only two sexes, men and women.

Try being honest in the world!

He should do a rap song

Going Back To Cali

The bagel man scared me.
He scared me.
He scared me.
The bagel man scared me back to Cali.

I interrupted my playing of the SeriusXM's "Halloween 50" to listen to that Karen complain about his nonexistent scooped bagel. What a waste of 30-seconds. I hope he gets back to LA soon so he can have his scooped bagel.

Hey, pretty boy, next time my Mommy cuts the crust off my gluten-free avocado toast you can have the crust.

Does this guy go to Italy and ask for Heinz ketchup on his pasta?

Must be a joke. Nobody orders a "scooped" bagel in LA.

Two days in a row I've seen a video of New Yorkers (or about New Yorkers) as I remember them and love them. Perhaps New Yorkers are coming back to the surface of their once great city?

There was this great one yesterday: Don't pull those off!

It's not often I say this, but: Good for New York.

Yes they do, and we all know where this bullshit came from, and we should stop it immediately.

I can understand pulling down poster after person found.

so anyone pulling down posters must have additional information? or concealing information?

Re: Will Cate:

I think it's where they "scoop" out all the inside of the bagel leaving the harder crust (probably some low carb thing).

And now I googled it and yes, that's what it is.

Woody Allen at the restaurant that started it all.

I had to look up the meaning of "scooped bagel".

He deserved to be told to GFH. I hope they told him that when he went "on to the next one, I guess". And the one after that.

If I want a scooped or thinnie bagel, I just scoop some of the bread out myself. Isn't that the obvious answer? Food can be repurposed just like anything else. It's a DIY thing. Improvise, overcome, adapt.

I tried for years to like bagels, because everybody else seemed to. I failed.

Click through and watch some of his other videos. There's one where he gets a scooped bagel in NYC.

You basically just tear out the bread-y center and have 2 scooped out halves with their nice crunchy outside. Then you can contain the cream cheese in the newly created hollows. Seems like a pretty good idea to me if you want a lot of cream cheese.

The traditional style of bagel with cream cheese is not to have a thick layer of cream cheese, by the way, but New York Bagel Places Put Way Too Much Cream Cheese on Their Bagels.

Scooped bagels look pretty good. Although, i can get by with only a little bit of cream cheese. the idea is get the right mixture of carbs and cheese. I don't want a big blob of cream cheese.

I love bagels. My Jewish girlfriend did not introduce me to bagels.

She introduced me to Chinese food.

English muffins are pathetic compared to the mighty bagel.

Now, cream cheese, I hate cream cheese.

If that's the most stressful thing in this guy's life... it must be the first day off his meds.

It's not really possible to put too much cream cheese on a bagel, but the scooped bagel does provide a solution for the challenge of keeping it from squeezing out the sides and falling on the floor. But if I want to go that route I do it myself.

I first saw them in college back in the 70s, invariably women who were trying to stay thin scooping out the bagels in the dining room. It didn't seem like something a man would ever do, but times change.

You can’t beat a bagel and cream cheese.

I've never heard of a "scooped bagel."

What's next? A scooped hamburger? A scooped hot dog? A scooped BLT?

You really need to offer the person some extra money to do that or ask for the fillings on the side and scoop it yourself if they won't do that.

That's how adult life works.

Sure you can, a bagel, cream cheese, and lox.
