"It seems to me like the more time goes on, the more Trump is a shoo-in."

"It seems like if this shit keeps getting crazier and crazier, there are going to be a lot of liberals voting for him. He was the one in the beginning saying we've got to stop people from dying. Like, do you want Ukraine to win this war? Remember that conversation? He's like, 'I want people to stop dying.' Like, which is the best answer any politician has ever given. And the way he said it. See if you can find the one where he's talking about Milley leaving stuff over in Afghanistan. I might have saved it. It was so funny, the way he was saying it. Did you see the thing he was saying about electric tanks? That's hilarious too. ... 'They're gonna make electric tanks, it's gonna be great for the environment, they're not gonna work well. They're not gonna run long. They're gonna blow the shit out of everything, but it's gonna be good for the environment.' And the way he said it was like a guy doing standup.... The way he says it, it's like he sets it up like he's setting up a punch line. Like, he sets up the story, 'Sir, it would be cheaper to leave them over.' He's like... 'That guy's a fucking idiot.'  To see a guy like him talk like that...."

The New Age movement has pushed us right over the edge, to when a self proclaimed "Idiot" is the Number One talk show host on the internet, America's Number One Con Man is the greatest president of my lifetime, and a crackhead was right about the infestation of cults, and all the trouble that they were to cause America and the world.

It's *almost* a wonderful time to be alive.

The Media — in fact, columnists all around the world — should take the time to study the rise and decline of Italy's Silvio Berlusconi, whose political career — including his antics, judicial troubles and anti-hero status — was basically an anticipation of Trump's political experience.

Every time Berlusconi got indicted — he was 16 times, though he managed to dodge most of the accusations by way of delaying tactics or changing laws when he was in power —,people fretted that the judiciary was making a martyr, or an anti-hero, out of him and that that would have only helped him electorally.

There's no doubt that the indictments contributed to making Berlusconi's base, over which he exerted unrivaled charismatic power, more loyal to him. But they did not win him a single vote from anyone else. And when the conviction finally came (in one single case of tax fraud), the cost for Berlusconi was considerable.

Trump's indictments have political costs, as it was always clear they would have, given the charismatic nature of his power. But it would be much more destructive to let him go out of a frankly craven electoral calculation.

In addition, the elections are very far from now, and Trump's Republican base is just a fraction of Americans. The mugshot can fascinate people like Elon Musk, but will make many others reconsider their vote for a potential felon and traitor.

The Democrats will do anything to win. They understand the pathways to power, and the imperative of winning to rule.

Last time it was Absentee Ballots by the millions and 'fortifying' the election. This time, it's Lawfare, and how many courts will it take to dilute the efforts, spreading Trump 'Too Thin to Win'?

But: Democrats never ask themselves why their party has only dirty tricks and sneaky tactics to rely on. Why is it that the Party doesn't want the people to vote to a decision, instead of trying to remove or kneecap the competition? What happened to Big Ideas? What happened to Ideals? The polling on Biden, the economy, the border, and so on, is indicating these are all issues clamoring for attention, across party lines. But no Big Ideas are forthcoming, just more dirty tricks and more unvetted illegals being released into the countryside. The short answer is: They never had'em. Just more of the narratives.

All republicans running for president should step down and whole heartedly endorse Trump. If they do not they ARE condoning putting your political opponents behind bars. And THEY will be next.

It is hill well, well worth dying on. Trump has done nothing wrong ( or nothing wrong of consequence ) yet the republican party has been complicit in allowing their political opponent to try and put him in jail for the rest of his life. Think about that, the democrat party and the federal government is attempting to put the previous president and the currently LEADING candidate for president behind bars for the rest of his life.

Anyone continuing to run against him as a republican are pretty much dead to me.

But he only endorses Maga supporters the llrs moan.

That's right and I hope he keeps on doing it. It id's who to support and who to ignore.

Between a non-Maga rep and a standard dem I have no preference. Vote against the incumbent whichever party.

Well the world is changing in ways that large numbers of us do not like. But heckfire that's been a fairly constant thing for centuries. Today there's a Pride protest at Clemson University--the college administration has removed the tampon dispensers from the men's bathrooms. Oh the horror of it all. You wouldn't think that students at a former cow college would get all het up about that.

Every four years or so those who are displeased with the way things are going have a chance to throw the bums out. And I think that a lot of bums are going to get thrown out next year.

I've seen and heard DeSantis's responses. And actions (actually arranging plane flights to get Florida residents out of Israel while our government is huddled in a corner trying to figure out what to say about it while not pissing off Iranians.)

Again- if and when DeSantis appears on the same stage as Trump and they can answer the same questions, and/or go after each other one one one- I think the nation will get a strong dose of who is the best person to lead going forward. Hint: It's the guy who needs the fewest mirrors around him.
Trump team's entire direction right now is to avoid, at all costs, appearing onstage with DeSantis or Haley.

Laughter can be a potent political weapon, and given the absurdities of many of today’s leftist causes it’s a natural tool in the political arena,

Trump isn’t the first and won’t be the last by any means. Lincoln was good at it — how many legs does a dog have if you call its tail a leg? *

And then FDR intoning about “Martin … Barton … and Fish.”

I’m even old enough to remember Jack Kennedy poking fun at Dick Nixon in 1960.

So let the laughter begin!

People like Gilbar ask, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" as if the question favors Trump. Next year it will be four years since Trump comprehensively botched the biggest challenge of his presidency, the Wuhan coronavirus. Among the results: he was the first president since Herbert Hoover to leave the U.S. economy with fewer jobs at the end of his presidency than at the start. Moreover, he was vociferous in his criticism of countries and states that made better decisions than he did, such as Sweden and Florida. I understand why many people find Trump more entertaining than other politicians. I don't understand why they consider him competent.

I believe that. It would be their only remaining option.

The upcoming election will be much harder to steal, given that the Covid Protocols will be impossible to repeat, and how X is now making government-sponsored propaganda much more difficult to pull off (see the Israeli / Palestine war).

When the guest had to rush to the delu of Trump divided everyone. No, he ripped the sheets off many. I'll admit to liking to talk about Trump as wonderful and watch so many just lose their minds. Even if I didn't like Trump's words or choices, it was still fun to act like I did.

I thought of the WWII movie, "All Boats Away". Following a supply/tender, the Captain, Jeff Chandler, gets everyone stressed out by his demands. Toward the end, the XO, a former merchant captain, is let in on the secret. Chandler's commander had focused the crew on him so they didn't focus on the hardships of the duties and restrictions of the missions but rather got the jobs done, often to spite the CO.

I still say that Trump is the closest thing to a working class president ever. He is Street. And the Dems hate Street. Oh, they can fake it perfectly when it comes to rap and sports and TV Talking Heads and other minority endeavors. They do it by feeding the privileged blacks with half-assed power and tons of prestige. Upper class blacks have a huge stake in the success of the democratic party. They are the true beneficiaries of affirmative action, etc. Working class blacks not so much as a matter of fact, the Dem slogan should be all for the 10% none for the 90% regardless of race creed or color.

I'm glad Rogan noticed Trump's form of speech, but this is something that has been discussed going back to when Trump ran last time. We discussed at this blog. Trump supporters listen to his words and don't take them literally. Trump dissenters listen to his words and take them literally. Trump supporters get the joke, and it is not a dog whistle but a straight up joke. Trump dissenters insist it can't be a joke and therefore must be a dog whistle which they define what kind because they heard it.

If you judge by actions, Trump's Administration did more to lift people out of poverty than any other President this century. Crime was under control. Our economy was fine and recovering even during the pandemic, which hurt all economies world wide. We were energy independent, and therefore we had options with how we handled Russia and the Middle East.

Temujin: "Trump team's entire direction right now is to avoid, at all costs, appearing onstage with DeSantis or Haley."

LOL

Sure.

Reality: DeSantis and Haley are quite busy taking turns bending the knee to the globalist/establishment/America Last Sea Island billionaire funder crew (Singer, Griffin, etc)

But again, not to worry. The corrupt Dem/GOPe/globalist establishment lawfare ploy should be enough to remove the guy 40 points ahead of DeSantis in all the key primary states, including Florida.

Including Florida. Do you want to explain that one?

Do you think those voters "need" to see DeSantis and Trump side by side to make a judgment call?

Or South Carolina voters Trump vs Haley?

Do you?

So again, here's early congratulations to you, Liz Cheney, Karl Rove, Paul Ryan, Andrew Weissman, Bill Kristol, Adam Schiff, Team DeSantis, et al. Its been a big team effort and you guys will need to stick together to pull it all off in the end.

But I believe in you guys and big celebrations are just ahead, no doubt. And you should all celebrate when that happens. Your team labored mightily and continuously from 2016 on with one hoax after another to deliver one Team Uniparty victory after another against the GOPe despised republican base voters.

As a strategist, I have to respect diligence and continuity of action.

Now, the impact of Team DeSantis (or Haley, or whoever) being the establishment's forced substitution for a corrupted takeout of Trump will undoubtedly lead to a permanent fissure in the republican party for the general election, but at least CNN wont insult you guys quite as much.

Still, a win will still be a win for you.

So again, early congrats.

Hats off to all of you.

"Voices from Democratic Counties Where Trump Won Big"

BY ELIZABETH DIAS, HALEY SWEETLAND EDWARDS AND KARL VICK

In 2023 and soon 2024, it is possible any remaining liberals will be driven from the New Soviet Democratical party by the wokies, leftists, neocon-leftists, islamic supremacsts, etc thus delivering a definitional "win" to readering's moronic assertion.

But the idea that Trump hasnt and wont and/or cant receive the support of some material % of liberal votes in a hypothetical 2024 matchup is so deliciously stupid that I might have thought Sonny Hostin had uttered it!

But again, not to worry: the GOPe/dem/deep state alliance will remove Trump from the campaign.

"Serious Question: Are YOU better off, than you were four years ago?"

It's an unserious question, one meant to confuse and deceive: however one defines the meaning of "being better (or worse) off than you were four years ago," there is no ready, simple, and precise answer as to the positive and negative factors that create the "current" circumstances, good or bad. All circumstances at any time are a result of multiple ongoing inputs from human and non-human forces. Do determine how the circumstances of "now" came to be, there has to be a thorough analysis of what factors have been and are currently at play, what actions by what entities at what time, what global events, what human decisions, what acts of nature, all acting together, in harmony or dischord with each other, to arrive at the circumstances on any day and moment.

Of course not. By any metric you care to use.

Economically the Biden years have been a disaster. Just ask anyone with a 401K or anyone on SS. Inflation has sucked up savings. The working class that you claim to champion, Robert, has been hardest hit. Big infrastructure deals to big DNC donors.
Polically. WTAF is going on? The graft is out of control. Everybody in congress is a multimillionaire. They didn't start out in politics that way. Green policies that only enrich donors.
