It's not the most stunning show of courage in the history of the world, but it's something a lot of us will love. Here is Pamela Anderson — famously beautiful when seen in her youth through heavy makeup — showing up now at glamorous events without makeup and openly old — 56 years old.
Yes, her eyebrows look radically plucked, the roots of her hair indicate somewhat recent bleaching, and there was whatever plastic surgery there was, but she's bold to present herself so differently. People will talk about how she looks, and it's nice to see her getting positive attention, especially to the extent that people are saying she looks great like that, and not just that she's displaying "courage and rebellion."

Stunning and brave
Puberty transforms bodies and brains. Menopause transforms female bodies and brains. She's simply a different being than she was before. It's not 'courage' or necessarily conscious, rather, it's just how she functions now.
If you're going to bleach your hair and have plastic surgery, why not wear makeup? OTOH, if you're 56, does it matter?
I'm for all old people, just looking old. Stop trying to be 60 going on 45.
Neither courage nor rebellion except perhaps in urbane jurisdictions. Do what you can, when you can, within reason.
I wouldn't kick her out of bed; makeup or not.
her lips look tattooed too
but HEY! what are details?
I don't know a lot of her career. Her two shows after Baywatch - the detective show V.I.P. and the sitcom Stacked - evidenced a willingness to poke fun at her public image.
All women look better without makeup.
She was never "beautiful" - she was sexy, hot and even pretty.
But not beautiful.
I'm sure it was hard for her, as it is for all women who are or were in her position, when men no longer want to fuck you on sight. It's no slam on her to say that, this way, at least she gets the hosannas from other women.
Fifty years ago, I chose for my French Conversation final presentation how much I hated le maquillage. That still goes.
Women who wear too much makeup for long periods of time tend to look pale and sickly when they go without, and Pamela has that look in the photos in the article. Some other recent photos of her in an US magazine article show a much healthier looking face.
Do I get a medal?? I have NEVER worn make up. EVER. I guess I was courageous and rebellious before it was popular.
She looks good...way different but good.
The bar is extremely low for "courage" these days.
Rejoice.
The made-up Pamela is the old Pamela.
The real Pamela is the old Pamela.
Old Pamela is the one we always come back to.
Miley Cyrus wrote a song about it.
Jamie Lee and Pamela were both known for their generous poitrines, which I assume still exist.
She has a face? I don't recall her ever being celebrated for having a face, with or without makeup. It was not her smile that was of interest to her fans, and her eyes may have been up there all this time, but that isn't where all attention to her was.
At the very least, she's wearing blush.
I think it's her over plucked eyebrows that make her look so makeup free and different. She looks a little unkempt, which has nothing to do with makeup.
I am 56 and routinely go out in public without makeup - am I "stunning and brave?"
She deserves credit for being able, as a creature of fame, to not care. Few things in the human condition are more absurd and sad than 'mutton, masquerading as lamb'
She's an attractive 56 year old woman. All she needs is a little mascara and I'd pronounce her excellent.

By not wearing make-up, you don't get the metals - like lead, mercury, arsenic (*), iron, cadmium, etc.
While they don't have them to anywhere near the level when people would get metal poisoning, those elements are still there in tiny amounts.
(*) - Arsenic is a semi-metal, not a metal, but close enough for this list.
Don't give vanity a second thought
No-no-no
Beauty's only skin deep
It goes just so far
So girl, don't hang yourself up
On no plastic face
A little bit of soap will wipe away
Any grease
So now you're feelin' pretty
Now you're feelin' so good
Now you're ready to face the world
Now you're feelin' good
Go out there and knock 'em silly girl
Go out there, show 'em how to thrill
Go out there, show 'em how to thrill
You're only pretty as you feel
As pretty as you feel inside
You're only pretty as you feel

Just be sure to protect yourself...
The praise comes from Jamie Lee, an actress famous for her willingness to look her age. It seems like she's happy to have found a kindred spirit in a town that's tough on the not-young.
It likely feels good to be a real person and not some painted-up Hollywood photo runway mannequin. She took out her implants out some time ago. Good for her. An anti-Joan Rivers. ๐
How much is age vs no makeup?
"Pammy shocked the world when she had her famous breast implants removed in 1999. She reportedly wanted her breasts to return to their original state. This diminished cleavage was short lived because she opted to have the implants replaced in 2004. She was reported to have not felt like herself without them. For someone known primarily for her buxum bosom, this is understandable. The new implants are still in place and supposedly bigger than the first set at 36DDD. She was a full C cup before any surgery.
Anderson started a trend all over the world of supersized breast implants. The phenomenon was to boobs what “The Rachel” was to hair in the 90’s. This surge in cup size increase was most notably seen in Australia where plastic surgeons had to specially import bigger implant sizes from “bigger is better” United States sources because-surprise, surprise-it is the only place where the supersized implants are manufactured."
USA! USA!
She looks very good without it in that picture. More power to her.
She just freed up a couple of hours of her day.
One of the most beautiful women who ever lived (imho) was a friend and co-worker who never wore makeup and wore overalls on many days.
Still a goddess.
'I wouldn't kick her out of bed; makeup or not.'
I'm guessing she has 'skills.'
IMHO Pam was at her best as the first Tool Time gal on "Home Improvement".
Btw, speaking of implants.
I was at the supermarket an hour ago and a woman was there shopping.
Very pretty, young, blond, reaaaaaaly long legs and a great ass (thank you Lululemon).
The kind of woman I don't mind looking at.
But she had huge, Frankenstein bolt-on tits.
Blech : (
She was married to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.
She learned nothing about makeup?
Does it take a makeup artist to comb her hair?
Walter: Isn't Pamela Anderson from Canada?
I told my wife that I thought she was drawing her eyebrows too high. She looked surprised.
I’ve never seen eyebrows begin so low. Unusual but rather attractive on her.
She's nailing the trailer park / lot lizard chic thing bigtime.
The stringy hair, papery skin and too-small eyes, those brows... she's finally come out as "the real me" version of herself. Brava, I guess.
Query whether Tommy Lee is laughing, disgusted, or indifferent. (I know: who cares?)
She always had a I Don't Give A Sh*t attitude about her. A good attribute to groom these days. I suspect she'd be one of the few celebrities you could have a normal conversation with.
