Millennials are desperately uncool.

Manufacturing cool with elaborate tattoes and disheveled clothing betrays their idiocy.

Question you'll never hear from hack-D press:

"Do you support Biden's open southern border?"

DAMN, that's a good comeback!

Leftist media initiative:

Your order: Get as many R's to admit they go along with Trump for [... fill in the blank...] - and acquire the soundbite for future use and D-campaign ads.

I wear strap sandals (without sox) down here in Georgia, and I don't believe southerners approve.

In fact, I theorize it might be disillusioning would be tippers.

I come out of the car to help with groceris, child seat, walkers, wheelchairs, travel luggage, et all.

I love my Roman style sandals, however. (Link via Althouse portal)

Shut it down.

Then there is THIS...I bet "Lectern guy" got more time than the stabber. The stabber will probably get promoted.

The Lectern Guy🇺🇸
@lecternleader
Meet the guy who prosecuted me in Tampa for walking in a building on January 6th.

My crimes were so egregious that he demanded I wear an ankle monitor, be drugged tested at random, surrender my passports, be restricted to middle district of Florida, and given a nightly curfew.

What restrictions do you think he should get for stabbing a man repeatedly in public?

Rep. Burchett is my new hero.

What's he asking about Trump for? Trump can't do anything. What a dumbass question.

I'm not saying the man in short pants with black socks has a kiddie vegan leather harness porn dungeon in his basement, but I'm certainly thinking it loudly.

As a young woman I studies in Italy and had a difficult time dealing with the more forward nature of the Italian men.

The best advice I received was to look at their shoes, point and shake my head no. It was a rejection that worked every time (sometimes my American friends would giggle but I suggested that was too unkind).

Who would have guessed that the tactic works on the media too?

Had not heard that was a fashion rule.

Black socks with shorts.

That's a hanging offense, son.

If Members of Congress, over the last 110 years (since the 16th Am.) were faithful, really faithful, to their Article VI oath, fedgov would be 5% of its present size.

Sorry, but your header is wrong. That would be "Dorks in shorts".

Rep. Tim Burchett has no reason to ever talk to the Donald and I could never support a Congressman who does.

Also, I could not support a Congressman who wears an expensive suit along with an ill-fitting eyeglasses retainer strap. It's ugly, man - even for a guy who admits that "all my tattoos are of dead people".

Deep State Reformer said...

That "reporter" doesn't give a flying damn about what Trump does or doesn't support. What the Edward R. Murrow wannabe is actually doing is opposition research by gathering video/sound bites for future use against this congressman, who shut him down brilliantly.

Not about rules buddy. It’s about professionalism and courtesy. We understand that you would have no clue.

That's perfect.
I question whether that dweeb is a Reporter. Looks like just another yahoo with a Twitter* Account.

There are times when I wear black socks with shorts when working out at the gym. I know it's kind of lame but I'm 73 years old and I really don't give a shit anymore.

"Had not heard that was a fashion rule."

This says more about you, than the rule.

I remember in the old book "Dress for Success" the advice that wearing a polo shirt with a certain mark is cool, but if you don't already know what the cool mark is, wear one without a mark. Obviously in the 70's you would say the La Coste alligator. But now you would say, perhaps, the Brooks Brothers Sheep.

The smart thing about this rule is that fashion changes, and its better to be bland than to be perceived as a clueless imitator. So dress in the style the person who has the job you want (noting the male/female differences).

The Pols who hire dumb people to force themselves on candidates looking for a "Macacca" moment are just building better opposition candidates, they eliminate only the weak.

I would vote for that guy if I could.

Earlier, I posted that "shoes have become a talisman of status and power."

Should I have said "shoes are talismans [etc.]"? Maybe, "a pair of shoes is a talisman"?

A single shoe has no mana, of course, unlike a single talisman.

You really need to get out more often. Even I know that's a dork badge.

Black socks with shorts is a look some men pull off better than others.

Thanks for that reminder. It would have been a very embarrassing mistake...

If you don’t know what the mark is, you are the mark.

Sure, always glad to help you with a little tip, here and there! No need to thank me for it.

Tim is in District 2. The last time they elected a Democrat was 1853. He can treat the Media as a joke because to him, they are. Well, to be fair, he ain't wrong.

I’m with our hostess on this. Adult men should not wear short pants in public unless they are engaged in an athletic activity or mowing the lawn. They should not wear shorts when site-seeing, bar-hopping, or when they are working. Wearing black sock with short pants is a minor faux pas on top of the major failure. On a related note, I was happy to see this morning that the Senate voted unanimously to adopt a dress code requiring men to wear business suits when on the floor of the Senate.

William50 - I think men and women are pretty much exempted from sartorial rules after 70. For women it is "When I am old, I shall wear purple." For men it is "When I am old, I shall wear whatever is at the top of the drawer."
