This sort of fuss over these top level people and probably the sense of their own importance they get from it illustrates very clearly why they cling to office/power until they have to be carted out on a stretcher. I know that doesn't quite apply to Jill, but I would bet she encourages Joe to do the clinging.

My first husband, now 72, was raised on we're-gonna-cure-cancer money. His mother did cell research at an institute that framed everything as "cancer" to qualify for federal grants.

One of the "best places in America to retire". Probably because Madison sucks the life out of the working class and poor in Wisconsin. All while producing nothing but fake prestige. The lives outside Madison's borders suffer for Madison's benefit. Madison is ok with that.
No wonder "Dr." Jill Biden visits as a welcome dignitary. And when she, and her corrupt family get us into a hot war with Russia, Madison will cheer the fake protection of "democracy".
But they won't send their children to fight or die. They'll leave that duty to the minority poor in Milwaukee, and the white trash children of farmers that live in the "rigged map" areas outside their ivory tower borders.

I recall seeing helicopter patrols from Triad Field in Madison (when we lived there) the eve of Election Day in 2012. Not sure one had anything to do with the other, but it was unusual.

The 176th Fighter Squadron of the Wisconsin Air National Guard flies F-35s from Truax ANG Base/Dane County Regional Airport. So the fighter planes might have been a coincidence.
She is a horrible fraud for imposing her corrupt husband and stepson on this once great Country.

And she has an EEd, the weakest form of academic doctorate. Calling her Doctor is just pretentious.
I could smell the fossil fuels being consumed and the climate getting hotter.
Any excuse should and will be used by the local military to get some actual training done, especially if the money for it comes from another agency's budget. Just be surprised they didn't do a paratroop drop, an armored transport exercise, or land the Marines in Ospreys for the visit.

176th FS F-35s out of Truax take off twice a day many days (not all days), and the timing looks like it would have been the usual flights adjusted by the temporary airspace closure as Her Highness approached/landed at the airport.
I still think "Dr. Jill" should be countered by "Dr. Joe." He has a J. D., yes? And that probably took a lot more work than her Ed. D.
Someone ought to scan Congress (House and Senate) and figure out who, if anyone, doesn't have some sort of "doctorate." I think the number is negligible, but nonzero.
