Just read an article about the "blue wall in suburbs". Mentioned Scarsdale NY, which voted 81% for D Biden. Why in the hell should R's not be for raising marginal tax rates on upper income folks. Make them pay for their liberalism.
In Oppenheimer (2023) beginning scenes a question that would mark the central theme of the movie is asked, how can a quantum entity be both a particle and a wave?
Can we be both right and wrong at the same time? The movie was brimming with ambiguity.
I don't want to give too much away, but the movie spoke to me about the new political realities we are living today. I enthusiastically recommend you all go see it.
"In explaining the roots of his commitment to civil rights, Tony Bennett often told a story from his Army days, when he brought a Black soldier as his guest to Thanksgiving dinner, prompting a furious reprimand and a demotion.
It was 1945, three years before the end of segregation in the U.S. military, and Bennett, who had been drafted into World War II shortly after he had turned 18, happened to run into a high school friend and fellow serviceman in occupied Germany. As he brought the friend, Frank Smith, to the holiday meal in the white servicemen’s mess hall, an officer intercepted them in a rage, Bennett recalled in his 1998 autobiography.
“It was actually more acceptable to fraternize with the German troops than it was to be friendly with a fellow Black American soldier!” Bennett recalled in the book, “The Good Life.”
Bennett recalled that in that moment, the officer took out a razor blade and cut the corporal stripes from his uniform, spitting on them and throwing them to the floor. He was then assigned to dig up the bodies of soldiers in mass graves so that they could be reburied with more dignity."
“For a while the whole affair soured me on the human race,” Bennett remembered in the autobiography. "
Lem is on top of things reading about quantum mechanics - the science dealing with the behavior of matter and light on the atomic and subatomic scale.
And he wants us to watch some sweet lady tell us that "Your brain doesn’t detect reality. It creates it."
Yes, Virginia, Lem is not just observing new political realities, he is concocting such realities out of thin air, but he doesn't describe this magical process, and best that I could tell by scanning, she doesn't even talk about politics.
Just watched Vivek Ramaswamy answer three rapid-fire questions during an interview. 1) Red flag laws? Nope. 2) 2nd amendment? Absolute. 3) Mandated vaxxes? Never, labels the FDA corrupt.

Serious Question: Does ANY BODY watch women's soccer? If so, WHY?
Once again....the GREAT Victor Davis Hanson...
"So how does the government abort a conspiracy theory?
Simple: Quit the chronic lying and for once tell the truth."
