I'm guessing that's a heron.

When I walk the nearby park, I'm always surprised by their noisy departure. They don't like folks nearby when they're fishing. Kinda like me?!?!?

As if we didn’t know everything everywhere has been corrupted by government, today we learn the LIV golf lawsuits against PGA Tour have been dismissed with prejudice, excepting a discovery suit by NYT, which is itself corrupt. Meaning no LIV antitrust fight in the future, PGA Tour gets to not disclose they are fucking rich and other things they don’t want to know, but more important, DOJ which has said they’re going to stick their nose in this, can now wait an appropriate number of months for you to lose interest then come Thanksgiving or so disband the recent PGA/LIV merger meant to prevent discovery of how fucking rich PGATour is and other things they don’t want you to know…and LIV will have no legal recourse…

…then NYT will have the dirt it wanted from their lawsuit and will apply liberally…

They are sandhill cranes

Funny! I don't see any sand hills.

Cheers, thanks for correcting my mistake.

I keep a couple of wild-life cameras in the nearby park. I've lived in this same neighborhood for over 65 years, I've slept in the weeds of the neighborhood (I might have been intoxicated), but that camera finds all the pink elephants.......coyotes, raccoons, beavers, otters, and possum.

The park was a Naval Aviation base. The airfield was closed in 1974. My uncle did his first solo off this field. This was the start of WWII. My grandmother was overjoyed when he failed to make carriers.

He was promoted to captain of a minesweeper on the Mississippi River.

Former USNavy stations don't have a reputation for being environmentally friendly.

I am stunned by the wildlife that have returned to the area.

The PA Game Commission issues separate deer licenses for buck and doe. It's time for our flame-throwing lefty governor Josh Shapiro to cease this practice. The government has no right to determine the sex of the whitetail, regardless of the gender assigned at conception. Not only that, it may save me a few bucks (sarc).

Looks like the smoke is going to be here all summer. I wonder if Vermont is giving refunds on its “view tax.”

I’d love to see somebody try that argument—“it identified as a buck!”

THIS is what FASCIST countries do.
"There is a nefarious group that calls itself The 65 Project that has as its goal to intimidate lawyers into not representing Trump or anyone associated with him. They have threatened to file bar charges against any such lawyers."

"Yet, here is the Washington Post helping such efforts along:
As Trump continues his 2024 campaign amid a series of federal and state legal woes, here is a list of many of the attorneys who've represented him in some of his biggest court fights in recent years:

A list, suitable for targeting, follows. I agree with Ed Lasky, who emails:

How is this just not maliciously targeting these lawyers? What news values is this list?"
