I can't say how these churches are being run now, but twenty years ago or so, I remember hearing that although the Catholic priests were publicly supposed to be celibate, they generally had wives. Bishops, two or more wives, in accord with their higher status.

But despite the passage of CEDAW, rape of girls and women is virtually never prosecuted in Uganda. Male rapists of females rarely even suffer social consequences. Females who are caught in adultery are, on paper, no longer punished, but there is little social condemnation when they are extralegally punished, and the majority of women in Uganda experience domestic violence. Political dissidents are imprisoned and tortured. It's not just gays. It's never just gays. In fact, with the relatively small population numbers of gay men, these other human rights violations destroy many more lives. So why is this the only topic usually mentioned in the msm? If we're going to talk about human rights violations in Uganda, let's not erase the vast majority of its victims. It is a "democratic" dictatorship that oppresses all of its people, but the largest number of its victims are women and girls.

As an observation... The thing that the LGBTWTFBBQ types seem not to realize is that their preferred sexual activity almost always engenders a deep and visceral revulsion in others, when they make it clear what they're actually doing. I have no personal animus against gay sex, but if you're doing it on my bunk (which happened during my military career) when I'm not present, or doing it in front of me...? We have a problem. One that's going to be dealt with absent any sensitivity or remorse.
Do it with kids? That I find out about, because you rub my face in it? Yeah; there will be repercussions.

Actually, Uganda has some of the best AIDS outcomes in Africa due to their early promotion of abstinence, monogamy, and condoms, called ABC. The program also involved criminalizing sex work and promiscuity -- not just for gays, but for everyone, and to more strictly punish pedophiles and rapists. It was not our program: it was their program, though its efficacy led us to promote similar efforts in other African countries.
In the early 1990's, I was assigned to work with refugees and immigrants in Atlanta to lower STDs in those populations. The Nigerian program was unambiguously the most effective throughout Africa. But it was literally reviled by the extremely powerful gay activists running the AIDS industry here and by extension through our state department. Draw your own conclusions, and then decide exactly what it is we "exported" to Africa, besides lifesaving medical care generously provided by our taxpayers, and most enthusiastically promoted by Bush I and II.
One more thing: AIDS was primarily a heterosexual disease in Africa due to the prevalence of traveling male workers using prostitutes, especially along trade and labor corridors, then spreading it to their wives and other women, and the high vulnerability of women exposed to multiple STDs. Homosexuality was not openly discussed, so little was known then about bisexual behavior and its role in spreading STDs in Africa. But, understandably, women in Nigeria and elsewhere embraced the ABC plan and its efforts to enforce Christian ideas of monogamy. Countless lives were saved. Surely you can't criticize that outcome.

Just think how powerful it would be if American foreign policy concentrated on selling Freedom as a positive good to the rest of the world, spread the powerful idea of a Constitutional Republic and stayed the hell out of “social” issues in other societies. But no we bow to China and the false God of capitalism. China has the “make a profit” part down pat but we can’t even say “Freedom” or “Tianamen” or even “Uiger” in their presence. The more progressives talk about “exporting our values” the more it looks like we are adopting the worst values of our near-peer rivals.

You would be wise not to raise attention, and consider the impact of your actions. Today, things like the Pride Parades in San Francisco are attractive, risque, and "fun". Tomorrow? They will likely be looked at in quite the same way the Berlin nightclubs of Weimar Germany were during "post-Weimar times".
Excess always leads to an equivalent reaction, which are generally full of unpleasantness, repression, and hypocrisy. Truly smart money goes down on "Let's not provoke the normies, no matter how good it feels to put it in their faces... There are rather more of them than us..."
Of course, nobody ever said that the LGBTWTFBBQ community was particularly smart or self-aware as a block; most of them can't even figure out what sex they are, and lack any form of real self-knowledge or awareness outside the narrow bounds of their sexual gratification. Which is why any society with any damn sense keeps them out of the mainstream and away from the levers of power, if it wants to last.
Not that sexually-obsessed heteros are any different in terms of the damage they do, but they occur in somewhat smaller quantities across their larger swathe of the population.
In the end, the whole thing boils down to people lacking self-control being too concerned about their sex lives, and acting out in public. Once your obsessions leak outside the privacy of your bedroom, you've got issues. They start impinging on other people's kids, you're setting yourself up for a serious fall--Ain't nobody putting that investment into someone, raising them, nurturing them, and then going to look the other way while some depraved individual decides to act out their sexual fantasies with them, claiming a right to "help them transition".
We're going to see a spate of outright violence in the next few years that's going to be very, very ugly, and take a lot of innocent life with it. Percentage-wise, gays aren't even a tail trying to wag the dog; it's more like "tail-tip" vs. the entire dog, and tails can be ohsoeasily docked. In some cases, it's even desirable for the dog...
This is the same policy that Democrats followed during the Covid-19,20,21,22 coronavirus season. This is the same policy initiated with Pelosi's Capitol Hill fire. The same policy followed in sanctuary States with abortion policy and civil rights denied to citizens and legal residents. This is not the policy followed in San Francisco during the AIDS transdemic that reduced the viability and sequestered thousands of trans/homosexual males for the sake of social progress and social justice.

Igna and her ilk don't know shit! My son has lived in Uganda for ten years. At one time the country was being decimated by AIDS. Serious government action including criminal penalties for homosexual activity helped curtail the epidemic. Meanwhile LGBT-loving NGOs charged with reducing AIDS in Africa bleated that the obviously effective measures were counter productive. A lie.
Ugandan antipathy to LGBT behavior has to do with loss, not "ultra right wing Christian nationalism." Contrariwise, leftwing twats like Igna will tout the LGBT culture war regardless of the casualties, particularly if they are "only" Africans.
