They have put all their chips on Joe Biden, and Trump is very likely the only opponent that Biden can beat. I understand the tendency of Republicans to rally to Trump in the polls after the outrageously weak NY indictment. I share the sense of injustice, the outrage.

But the more I look at the campaign Trump is running against DeSantis, the more I see a purely personal conception of a second Trump Presidency. Unprincipled. Purely negative. One of my favorite movies is A Knight's Tale. In that movie there is a scene where Heath Ledger Character William Thatcher is being punished in a Pillory because it is found out he is not of Noble Birth. His friend's are standing by his side to protect him and the question is asked What makes someone noble.

That Scene came to my mind because the left keeps saying Hunter investigation should be shut down because of who his father is. He should be treated as if he were of Noble Birth and thus is beyond the laws of society. On the other hand you have Trump and his crime is that he challenged those of Noble Birth and thus needs punished.
