The majority of Americans don’t embrace such authoritarian ideas that the right is espousing. It’s being rejected and that will become exceedingly evident in the coming election cycles. We, democratic America, won’t allow the right to get away with crushing anyone except for themselves. As the months go by and the craziness on the right continues and increases in intensity, it just proves to the rest of America how we can’t become complacent, we will not be crushed, no matter how hard the right tries, they will fail.
Every Democrat, independent and moderate person I know is disgusted by the right, and the last several elections have reflected this growing disgust. If the right continues their march to authoritarianism, the pushback from the rest of America will continue and grow in intensity. Those on the right that don’t buy into the extremism of today’s Maga extremist Republicans need to be even stronger in their resolve to separate themselves publicly from these lunatics.
Pollsters can word their questions to get whatever result they want, and activists can use those results to support positions that are far above and beyond what the actual survey shows. It is one thing to support "laws that protect trans people from some discrimination in housing, work, and in public spaces," as most people do. It is another thing entirely to support trans men in women's sports, women's prisons, and women's restrooms (at least for pre-operative males), or to advocate for "gender-confirming" (sex-change*) operations for small children, or to berate someone for "discriminating" in intimate relationships.
None of the latter positions constitutes "hate," and to characterize them as such serves no purpose other than to aid someone's climb to the top of the Victimization Pyramid.

I do know that the two girls in nearby (to me) Loudoun County had a right not to be raped in a girls’ rest room in their high schools just because a biological male was allowed by school board policy to put on a skirt and enter a girls’ rest room. Almost everyone is uncomfortable during puberty. Suddenly is the #1 sign you’re trans. BS, I say. But they promise you happiness. They promise transitioning will fix you and make you happy. It's not an important civil rights issue. It's a cult with powers way beyond it's actual numbers, amplified by the media arm of the Democratic Party looking for yet another wedge between the American people and their sanity. No, the truth is that if you are born with a penis you are male, if you are born with a vagina you are female, and that "gender identity" is meaningless bullshit.

Puberty blockers are chemical castration.
We don't let kids get tattoos. We don't let them pose for naked pictures. We have age of consent laws, and when the parents help other adults get around the laws it's quite properly considered child abuse, and people go to jail for that.
Just like anyone who "prescribes" puberty blockers for "trans kids" should go to jail, as should any parent who approves of such things.
If you're having puberty start at age 8, then it's quite reasonable to take puberty blockers for a few years to push puberty back to a more normal start time.
Beyond that?
it should not be done, it should be against the law to do it, and if the Democrats what to pick that hill to die on I strongly encourage them to do so

Even once we made it into the event hall and through the intense security, everyone inside the venue sat in shocked silence when an incendiary device exploded close enough to the building that the lights shook and the sound reverberated throughout the room.
