What I love is the self-esteem.

It feels like a preview of Season 3 of "The White Lotus."

"What I love is the self-esteem"

The WEF circle jerk is all about boosting prog self-esteem. Knowing that they can lord it over us adds that little frisson.

Music to eat bugs by.

I'd like the music a lot more if I didn't have to look at them.

What? The absurdity of that performance simply could not be more symbolic of Davos/WEF.

Uh just a quick clarification that if you are performing music at WEF, you're not AT WEF. Any more than if you're serving drinks. This performance is the absolute best part of WEF, by a looooong ways.

Also I liked the music! An almost perfect fit for White Lotus, only missing that small note of rot (which would have made it fit WEF better too).

Reminds me of the Diva performance in "The Fifth Element". If you don't want to watch all of it, skip to the 4 minute mark of this video. Its similar in style to the Davos Players.

The performer and the performance fits the target audience perfectly.

Someone should mash-up Al Gore's climate change outburst with this music!!

It's better if you read sign language. It's even better if you're deaf.

Microsoft funded an invitation only performance by Sting at Davos, just before firing 10,000 employees. Why not highlight that bit of entertainment? I bet the 10,000 former employees will remember it, and they weren't even there.

Self-esteem is the opiate of the masses in service to the elite.

Honestly I don't relate to jazz so I don't know if the singer would be considered talented in that genre. As to the guitarist, he is very, uh, enthusiastic.

Maybe the WEF is just one big piece of performance art (or performative art?) and we just don't get it.

I've never seen a more perfect example of people who sit around sniffing their own farts.
