1. When walking for exercise, do you listen to something or do you go natural? I like natural so I hear the world, plus better SA (situational awareness).I can't believe the % of women that walk or jog with headphones on. 2. Walking solo allows the mind to wander in unpredictable freedom. 3. Wife and I moved in 2022. New neighborhood is 2 or 3 levels above previous neighborhood. The silly but real difference in mindset is interesting. Walking now and feeling "man we made it happen" in the new neighborhood vs walking in the old neighborhood when the thoughts were "we got to get the hell out of here". 4. College sports feel more rooted in a place than pro sports. Also, I wonder if ratio-wise, if college grads prefer college to pro. Makes some sense that someone who did not go to college at all might get into pro but not college sports. 5.Power of Procrastination - I should be doing some work tonight. But blowing it off. Will do it in the morning. But now I have the desire to muse here instead of working. Like in college when the only time when you wanted to clean your place was when a test was coming up and you did not want to study.
Over the weekend some additional news came to light about the case of the Virginia 6 year old who shot his teacher.
1. The school authorities were alerted that the youngster had brought a gun to school, and they searched his backpack but did not find it. They now believe that it was hidden on the boy's person, indicating that it was a compact or subcompact semiautomatic.
2. The gun is identified as a 9mm Taurus. The specific model has not (to my knowledge) been identified, and Taurus makes a number of semiautomatic handguns chambered in 9mm, but given that the gun was legally purchased and owned by his mother, I suspect it was one of the Taurus g3 models -- a lightweight (22 ounces empty) compact double stack semiautomatic made mostly from polymer and designed for concealed carry.
I don't think they still do so, but Taurus, like other manufacturers, used to make their compact semiautos in bright, pretty colors to attract female buyers -- I've polymer handguns in pink, purple, pastel green, and light blue, and there may be other colors offered for all I know. It turns out that female buyers aren't much interested in pretty colored handguns, but pretty pink guns used to be on every vendor's table in past gun shows.
And that leads me to an interesting question. Was that particular handgun colored pink or purple or some other soothing color? And could that have led the child to think he was aiming a toy at the teacher? I will continue to follow this story to learn more.

For at least Syracuse and Notre Dame fans, makes not a whit of difference if they've ever attended the institutions. I think the same is true of Alabama and Texas universites.
Found out a few years back for the Syracuse Orange there's at least one entire town of what could be called anti-fans.Seems the Orange are named after the Ulster Orangemen, Protestansts. And the town was settled by Ulster Irish Catholics. So for everyone else out there- how many just found this out? I have to wonder how many other college teams might have anti-fans because of whom they're named after...
So Hunter was paying Joe $50,000 a month to rent the home where those highly classified documents of interest to Hunter's many clients were found "locked in the garage"? Do I have that right?
Upstate New York was European-settled originally originally by Dutch, and Albany was named "Fort Orange" The whole "Ulster Orangemen" doesn't ring true to me. It could be right, but I really doubt it. I grew up in that area, I always figured it was a Dutch reference, like the New York Knickerbockers" It could be that the "anti-fans" are simply looking for something to get riled up about.
Wikipedia sides with me, for whatever that is worth.
According to an 1890 newspaper article uncovered by the Syracuse Post Standard, the orange was originally a reference to the Netherlands, which first colonized New York State.[22] It's common in upstate New York for place names to make reference to the Dutch heritage. In a similar way, the original settlement that became Albany was called Fort Orange.
Well, Lem: that f/king sucked. Saddest thing is- I believe that happens. Idk how often, but our neighbor went through something very similar and his relationships w/his 3kids was so sabotaged by his ex that the trauma may well be passed on to their kids.
And his stepson committed the unthinkable at 22, I think it was. Maybe he was younger. All b/c of a lack of honesty w/in the family. IMhumbleO. We stood in the road the next morning- my husband, myself &our neighbor. Each having lost a family member to that unthinkable act.
A woman from Central America did a similar thing to my brother in Florida. We had told him, and his mom told him before she passed that she wasn’t a good fit for him, but he didn’t listen. She took him to the cleaners.
"So Hunter was paying Joe $50,000 a month to rent the home where those highly classified documents of interest to Hunter's many clients were found "locked in the garage"?"
As this is several times the market value of rentals in this area, did Joe claim the excess (guessing about $580,000) as income on his tax return?

Elon Musk launches the most precise and beautiful heavy mission yet. Every one must hate him and imagine that he is going broke because he is stupid.

It just is so pointless…
OTOH, the guy in the video seemed to like “nice, expensive things” and may have left his 1st wife for a younger, foreign upgrade.
So…

Sportsfans and anti-fans mystify me.
I've never identified with any team, school or pro, but I have friends who love or hate teams they have no connections to, that I can discern.
$50k a month rental?

He claimed the rent was appropriate because the home owner was the President of the United States.
Gina Lollobrigida has passed at 95.
