He didn't need to fake sincerity or honesty. You invested in him because of that slight hint of sleaze. Holmes had symmetrical features and blond hair. Both feminists and sexists wanted to believe such a brilliant entrepeneurette could exist.....I give the crown to SBF. That guy radiates sincerity and earnestness. You just know in prison that he'll be helping other prisoners how to read or some such worthwhile stuff. I don't really take offense at him.
