Another absolutely unbiased and completely non-racist court full of liberal judges, this time in NC, has ruled that blacks and blacks alone in the USA are too stupid or lazy or ignorant to obtain a voter ID. And somehow the liberal media and liberal politicians cannot see why the general public public is continuing to lose faith in them .

Virtually every court ruling on color or race in my lifetime has said that same thing, whether it’s for affirmative action or voting or anything else- blacks are inferior and cannot compete with a level intellectual playing field. At least Justice Taney was honest in his atrocious Dred Scott decision. Today’s are saying just what he espoused but saying it’s all good.

Post 3 of 15 - Clyde's Top 10 Favorite "New" Songs of 2022
Honorable Mention #3 - The Grip Weeds - Shape Of Things To Come (DiG - 2021)

The Grip Weeds are a rock band from New Jersey who have been making music since 1988, with the band's current lineup dating back to 2012. Their music is usually described as power pop and psychedelic rock. The album 'DiG' was released in October 2021, and I'm pretty sure that it started playing on my soundtrack on Amazon Music shortly after that, so it doesn't qualify for the Top 10 this year. The album was a COVID lockdown project of cover songs from the late 1960s era. The song "Shape Of Things To Come" was performed by Max Frost and the Troopers in the 1968 comedy-drama 'Wild in the Streets,' and this video recreates it well. 'DiG' is a great album and I highly recommend listening to the whole thing.

We're getting our second installment of snowy weather in our new house. Already an 1/2-inch has fallen this afternoon. I expect about 3 or 4 inches total until the snow leaves after Wednesday. We're at 560-ft MSL and in the foothills of the Cascades, so when Bellevue would have gotten only rain, we get snow.

My wife took our dog Sadie out for a pee-break this afternoon while the snow was falling. After Sadie did her business, she set a new land-speed record getting back in the house.

Our hot tub was delivered on Friday and a friend came over and helped me assemble the sauna. It went together smoothly and we had the exterior complete by lunch time. The benches and back rests took about an hour after lunch. The electrician will be coming out to do the hookup.

The storm will be bigger than I expected. Total of about 13-in through Thursday.

Ok, let's see if we can. I don't think we can. And you're going to prove me right (you're being watched, btw, to see how you react to me saying whatever I want.)

I think we can only talk about whatever YOU, Ann, allow us to talk about. You're gaslighting us. You edit your commenters. You delete commenters. You delete comments. You "curate" the experience you want "your" readers to have here. To put you in the best light. Then you post claims that anybody can talk about "whatever you want."

You are no different than Twitter was and is. You deliberately choose the Google platform because they give you the tools to CONTROL what we are allowed to say here. We can only say what YOU and THEY allow us to say.

And you preeen yourself as if you aren't doing this. But you know you. And I know you. And we all know you too.

You are them. You are exactly the same as them.

Now delete this comment so nobody else can see it. But they will. They will.

Donald Trump claims that he has sold out his line of NFTs, raising roughly $5 million. If that’s true then maybe he’s really not out of it for 2024.

OTOH, celebrating gay marriage at a time when grade school teachers are boasting about steering adolescents and pre-adolescents towards gay sex and so-called “gender affirmation” surgery seem to confirm my belief that his political acumen is seriously lacking. Well, we have until summer 2024 to figure it out.

Realpolitik.

McCarthy has far and away the most support and there really isnt a pathway for an actual conservative to win.

Further, as expected, a significant chunk of the GOPe-ers have already signalled they would try and cut a deal with the democraticals to keep an actual conservative out of the Speakers chair.

Naturally. GOPe and the dems go together like peas and carrots.

Gospace gives us his interpretation of this old piece of news from CNBC News - which contains nary a word about "stupid" black folks:

SEP 17 2021

The majority of the three-judge panel said in its opinion that evidence shows the 2018 law “was enacted in part for a discriminatory purpose, and would not have been enacted in its current form but for its tendency to discriminate against African American voters.”

North Carolina’s voter identification law was enacted in late 2018 when the state legislature overrode a veto by Gov. Roy Cooper, a Democrat.

That analysis found that 9.6% of Black “registered voters lacked acceptable ID” for voting under a prior voter ID bill, “as compared with 4.5% of white registered voters.”

The majority decision noted that because Black people in North Carolina are more much likely to live in poverty than white people, they thus are also more likely to “face greater hurdles to acquiring photo ID” as a result of not having a car or being able to get time off from work to do so.

These Judges are ignoring repeated real time experience with photo ID. All the states have found Black participation rising after picture ID became law. In short the judges ruled, without evidence, using pure speculation, using income as a proxy for race.

But if we want to reducing the number of Blacks voting, the acceptable technique, approved by the courts, is just make 60% of the voting machines inoperable on election day. Thats what happened in Maricopa County, and Judges are cool with what happened.

Also we have the 'dog that didn't bark'. Where are the personal testimonies from clean, articulate blacks that can't be bothered to get an ID. Dems are great at trotting out real life people as examples of 'The Man' keeping blacks down.

If the poor cant get an ID, maybe that's why they are poor????

You cant open a bank account, rent a car, or motel room. Any decent employer requires proof of who you are. No ID is a barrier to improving your life. You would think Dems would be leading that parade...not driving a car into the parade, and running over blacks

First (and necessary) step to address this: Shut down the Pentagon and strip the War Department's budget by 75% at a minimum. Moreover, prosecute all top military brass in charge of management of their budget. They have repeatedly refused to submit to mandatory audits (required since 1990), and in the past five years where they have belatedly/begrudgingly submitted to audits, they have failed each one. In their most recent failed audit, they cannot even account for half of their total assets! The greatest gangsters in Washington are our hallowed (hollow?) Fighting Forces, (and those in Congress who facilitate them). In addition to prosecuting top military brass and Congresspersons for malfeasance, investigate the parasite arms merchants for waste and fraud. Shut 'em down and lock 'em up!

You miss the point by a wide margin. It isn't an either or decision at this point. It isn't Trump or Desantis. It's how do we get rid of the entrenched deep sate parasites that are really running this country. If both men are truly passionate about the future of our republic then I have no doubt that sometime before the end of 2023 that Trump and Desantis are going to sit down and go over strategy. First, you state incorrectly that we have "open borders." We do not. You are either mistaken, or you are purposely making a false assertion.

As for how severe this issue actually is, it's hard (for me) to really know. It's certainly serious. In checking several sites reporting on illegal immigrants "crossing the border," they all go on to specify "crossing the border" comprises all illegal immigrants attempting to enter the US, whether successful (passed over without capture) or unsuccessful (captured).

In other words, the numbers cited in the headlines are the number of all attempted crossings by illegal immigrants, not the number of those who have successfully crossed over and evaded capture. The number of these "gotaways" (as they're termed) is much lower. One site I found referred to the 5 million statistic you include above, but clarified this consisted of "3.9 million apprehended entering the US illegally and 3.4 million at the southern border." Of that 5 million "crossing the border," an estimated 900,000 were "gotaways" who evaded capture and passed into the US. A significant number, to be sure, but fewer than the panic-inducing "millions" purposely cited to create hysteria and xenophobia. In short, most who attempt to cross over are turned away at the border or are arrested and detained. In short, not an open border.

Certainly, this is a terrible situation, not least for those fleeing terrible conditions in their own countries and who hope to find safety, jobs, and better lives in the US. Obviously, we can't just open the doors and allow all and sundry to flow unimpeded into the US, but whatever we do in preventing their entry, we should treat these people humanely. They are largely children, women, and families seeking haven from natural, political, and economic crises in their homelands.

You're smarter than that. Please don't pull a drago and tell me how I think."

Wrong again. Shocker.

I don't tell you "how" you "think". I point out you dont think at all which is why you seem to have no idea what is actually happening.

You can't understand how it is Trump has convinced the working class he will fight for them?

What a perfect example of something obvious and basic that completely eludes you.
