So there are ongoing demonstrations in China and Iran.
I remember the Polish Solidarity demonstrations that were the first chink in the Communist armor. They were breathlessly covered by our media and supported by our intellectual community..Same with the Philippines and Marcos. Multiple examples come to mind.
Yet I hear no support from the women’s movement nor the LGBT community about Iran. I hear nothing about China other than a quiet support and curiosity about how the social credit system there can be implemented here.
There is something fundamentally rotten in the West’s political, moral and intellectual leadership now. I can’t think of one person of deep thought and clarity now. Maybe the Italian PM in politics and VDH in the media?
This does not end well for anyone.

Very brave of them. And also likely futile. Although there may be some loosening of the zero Covid regime. The survival of authoritarian regimes is based not only on fear and intimidation but on how many people are dependent on the continued largesse of the party or the state. IMO China is going to undergo some . . . fundamental transformations in much less than 20 years. The entire global system is evolving, and all the old structures are breaking up, including the corrupt oligarchic US empire.
The Chinese just went farther along the dead end road than most regimes have managed, and their collapse will be spectacular.

This is really an equivalent to "Let's go Brandon" in the sense that it is a protest against the government where there is no direct offensive (to the government) language used, but something is substituted which everyone knows is a protest message.
China will require all women of childbearing or-bearing age to be pregnant.
The best of futures would be for China to have a 1989 moment, making Iran and the Norks irrelevant. While possibly convincing the US elites that there is no good future in stealing from and lording over the common people. Now the elites try to emulate the China model. It's amazing to watch the protest videos coming out of Wuhan. So sad and infuriating to think about the amount of lives Fauci and Gates destroyed with their mad scientist funding of gain of function experimentation at the Wuhan lab. I don't think these protests are quite this far along yet to be a danger to the regime, but if they continue, the question will ultimately become "Whose side is the People's Liberation Army on?".
The PLA killed their fellow citizens at Tianamin Square in 1989, but that doesn't mean they'll do it again on a nation-wide scale in 2022/23.
