Is it related to the strange bikini the dog was wearing? Just the bikini bottom, mind you, there was no bikini top. So this was a topless dog video. Maybe that upset some ChiComs. I don't know.

Why would the dog not eat the dumpling, anyway? The dumplings are fine without the fucking sauce. I mean the sauce is okay, I'm not saying I avoid dumpling sauce altogether. It's just not the end of my happy day if I don't have any dumpling sauce. So what does the dog know that I don't know? Why is he in a panic about no dipping sauce?

It's actually fucking strange that a dog is terrified about dumplings. And now they've censored the video!

I feel like this poor dog has been captured by North Koreans -- I just assumed it was China, or Japan, but it could have been fucking North Korea -- and they're holding the dog hostage, and he's trying to warn us, or some damn thing, about all the torture. "Help me! Help me! Free me!" Without words, you know. Maybe he's wagging his tail with morse code messaging.

I'm thinking it was deemed misinformation. The state doesn't want people to think that dog was expressing its own preferences when it was actually controlled by an off-camera trainer. Or... the state doesn't want people to figure out that the dog is actually controlled and not following its own preferences. West TX Intermediate Crude said...: There is an accepted concept in the woker corners of organized medicine that patients of color have better outcomes when their physicians are also of (presumable similar) color. The ever diminishing AMA is fully on board with this stuff.

It follows from this that a hospital Emergency Department is knowingly and intentionally providing inferior care when it allows a white physician to care for a patient of color. In order to provide the best care, and to protect itself from legal liability in the event of a poor outcome, that hospital has to have separate facilities for patients of color and white patients. White patients and white medical staff here, Patients and medical staff of color over there. Better outcomes guaranteed.

"The Georgian Star" by M G Lemonick is a good short bio of William Herschel; he bobbles some of the background history but the main story is well told. A remarkable man--designed and built his own 'scopes, made his own lenses (the biggest and best in the world)--and his sister was something too.

Dava Sobel's "Galileo's Daughter" is also a worthwhile read if you like astronomy and history.

I'm not a fan of the DH, but I'm much more disturbed by interleague play. Baseball was the only sport where, in the championship game, not only had the teams never played each other, they'd never even played teams that had played each other. We really had nothing but the series itself to determine who was the better team. (I have similar feelings about the wild card--they had 162 games to prove they belonged in the playoffs, if they couldn't do it then, why should they get another chance?); 11/4/22, 1:51 PM
