"Look for Trump to take credit for Republican victories across the board —including those he propelled with his endorsements, and even those he had nothing to do with."
From "Scoop: Trump team eyes Nov. 14 announcement" (Axios).

Some people let their politics turn them into such idiots. If his endorsements win, he gets credit for helping, that's how it works. Even without considering that some of his endorsements seemed like longshots--which they were.
As if Democrats wouldn't claim the opposite if the outcomes were reversed?
Well when your election strategy is "Trump is evil ! Trump is dangerous! Trump supporters are treasonous! MAGA Republicans are going to overthrow our democracy Vote Democratic!"; why wouldn't Trump take credit if there is a red wave?
It isn't like he's hurt a candidate who wins with his endorsement, so implying there is something wrong with taking all credit due to him for those wins is just churlish.
Those candidates who win, who had nothing to do with him, surely enjoyed some "get out the vote" effect from the 24/7 anti-Trump agitas of the Dems. So hey, take some credit there too, for living rent-free in the heads of the opposition.
As if Democrats wouldn't claim the opposite if the outcomes were reversed?
Of course not. The Good People are always good, and the Bad People are always bad. (And even if the Good People do bad things occasionally, well, that's only because the Bad People do stuff that's even worse. Move along.)
Even if Trump wins he loses. I smell the latest iteration of election deniers.
Conspiracy theorists are saying: “Wait until Election Day, go and vote in person, wait until 3 o’clock in the afternoon, overwhelm the system, expose the algorithm.”
Last time I checked, "algorithm" means a finite sequence of rigorous instructions, typically used to solve a class of specific problems or to perform a computation. Adding in order to achieve vote count totals is hardly a complex computation. If such delays add to the time required to count votes there is no harm or change to the final results.
These folks must live in caves, never seeing the light of day.
The GOP base is still a Trump base. Of course many would like to see Ron DeSantis elevated, but that timing is yet to be determined.
Keri Lake (GOV AZ), Blake Masters (Sen AZ), Tim Michels (GOV WI), Ron Johnson (Sen WI), Dr Oz (Senate PA), Herschel Walker (Sen GA), and Tudor Dixon (GOV MI) are all clearly MAGA candidates. DeSantis has carved out his own brand, but his resistance to Democrat totalitarianism, and rejection of MSM lies makes him quite MAGA as well.
Trump won in 2020, and Biden is an installed President. Those 74 Million Trump voters are still out there. You would think with Biden's "81 Million" 2020 "votes" these midterms would be a breeze for the Dems.
But we'll see. I still expect the same crap as 2020. Nothing has been addressed in terms of election fraud. WI, MI, AZ, GA, and PA are still vulnerable swing state targets for the same type of fraud. There will be counting delays. Batches of votes "found". GOP dominated precincts running out of ballots. Media delayed call for GOP victories, and early calls for Dems. Remember Fox News called Arizona for Biden with only 11% reporting.
If the headline is suggesting a November 14 announcement from Trump, oh please, Mr. President, let it be that you're NOT running but have settled into the role of kingmaker! The thought of the alternative really is exhausting, even if I ended up thinking of Trump as the most self-controlled (with regard to federalism), effective president since Reagan.
The Emperor returns from Elba. And the MAGA Americans rally to his side. And the Chinese dictatorship trembles.
AND????
Milwaukee just fired and election commissioner for fraudulently requesting Military absentee ballots.
Commissioner Kimberly Zapata was trying to demonstrate massive holes in Wisconsin’s election system. She requested military absentee ballots off a WI.gov site using fake names, and then sent them to GOP State Rep. Janel Brandtjen of Menomonee Falls. Brandtjen has been trying to address WI voter fraud for the last two years and has been demonized by WI liberals.
Now Zapata faces fraud charges.
According to the criminal complaint: “Zapata did this because she wanted to make a point that there is fraud in existence. She stated that it is not the conspiracy theories out there, but she wanted to bring the actual true fraud out. Zapata stated that she felt overwhelmed due to the threats of violence the election commission was receiving, in addition to the constant daily harassment and accusations of lying and hiding things. She stated she wanted the truth to come out so that they could focus on the actual problems.”
She is now a sacrificial lamb to be offered up for Wisconsin’s corrupt voting system. Chisolm will prosecute (he's the asshole that let Darrell Brooks back on the street). Madison is cheering. Rather than address the holes in the system Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson says it was a violation of trust. What and asshole.
I don’t think the Red Wave is going to be that big. I pray I’m wrong. But the Democrat voter fraud in Wisconsin for example is still prevalent. You think Miracopa County AZ is now clean?? Fulton County GA? Philly? Detroit??
In the WI elections I expect Tony Evers to stay in office and Ron Johnson to be sent home.

That shit wont fly again.
The Regime is slowly driving everyone of their supporters away with the obviously terrible results of their policies.
Nobody believes 81 million people voted for Biden. Their are vanishingly few people who want to be associated with idiots like gadfly.
In 2020, with Trump at the top of the ticket and losing, the GOP still *gained* 13 seats in the House, a Democratic loss that eclipsed Bill Clinton's loss of 10 seats when elected in 1992 and slightly better than, interestingly, the Democrats losing 22 House seats when JFK won in 1960. Trump was more of a drag in 2016 when the GOP lost 6 House Seats while retaining majority status. source
That would seem to me to be an argument that Trump's endorsement doesn't mean a heck of a lot in a general election (vs a primary) but the Democrats likely don't want to go there, for multiple reasons.
People always win elections in the middle of the night after polls close.
Happens all of the time.
The quicker we can cut out the cancer of McConnell and his ilk the better.
Axios writing stupid things for stupid people to read.
Looking forward to the press whooping it up over the coming DeSantis/Trump bloodbath. The press will think that they can cause supporters of one candidate to stay home on election day with sufficient infighting. Are we going to get a velvet resolution where all parties come together at the end or a Prague Spring with the losers being ground to dust under (hopefully) metaphorical tanks?
We all know what the press is rooting for.
gadfly; See "metaphor" in the dictionary.
The Pennsylvania Senate race reminds me of the 2016 Presidential election: IMHO Trump-endorsed Oz is the only one of the top three Republicans Fetterman might beat and between Fetterman and Lamb, the Democrats thoughtfully picked the only candidate Oz could beat, just as Trump was probably the only Republican candidate who could beat Hillary and Hillary was the only candidate Trump could defeat.
I think it’s perfectly fair that Trump gets credit for GOP victories where he endorsed the successful candidates. It seems clear that, whether by luck or by genius, he gauged the mood of the electorate vastly more accurately than Republicans like McConnell or Romney, not to mention better than hardly any Democrat. Of course, it helped that the Democrats dumped an estimated $53M into promoting Trump-endorsed candidates in the primary.
OMG. Gadfly. That is funny as hell.
I literally laughed out loud. We were just talking around casa Wolf how Trump has been 100% absent from coverage this Fall even though he’s doing live events. Big Media including FNC is freezing him out. And yet they are already pooh poohing his influence. You stupid DNC-Media-Democrats made stars out of the candidates he endorsed. You did it. And now that they’re winning you squeal like pigs. Your tears are delicious. I look forward to more.
Well why not? After all Team Biden claimed credit for Slow Joe's "leadership" in getting one of the largest increases in Social Security "benefits". Then they realized that was a prize not worth claiming and backed down.
Since Trump is blamed for everything bad (see Pelosi, Paul), why shouldn’t he take credit for everything good. Cause and effect is so dated.
MAGA -Make America Great Again.
the collective left consider Making America Great -> a "dark force"
gadfly, like all leftist democraticals, is in pure panic mode.
Too funny.
Walker and Oz were not strong candidates. Trump's love of celebrity is a weakness, and endorsing these two over presumably stronger candidates was harmful.
Conversely, Lake has turned out to be a fantastic candidate, so what do I know?
Everybody claims a mandate when they win. Why would Trump be any different?
It won't literally be true that every Republican victory was a vindication of Trump, but in a more general way it won't be false.
Meanwhile, CNN and the NYTimes are running with the "discussions" of a special counsel to go after Trump and the expectation that Trump loyalists will start to be being picked up by the FBI as soon as the polls close.
"As Donald Trump inches closer to launching another presidential run after the midterm election, Justice Department officials have discussed whether a Trump candidacy would create the need for a special counsel to oversee two sprawling federal investigations related to the former president, sources familiar with the matter tell CNN."
=========
"The Justice Department hopes to reach a decision on whether to bring charges against former President Donald J. Trump before the 2024 campaign heats up, and is considering appointing a special counsel to oversee investigations of him if he runs again, according to people familiar with the situation.
"The department is investigating Mr. Trump’s role in the efforts to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, and his retention of sensitive government documents at his residence and resort in Florida."
Although it looks from the similarity of language that they are just running the story fed to them instead, of you know, actual journalism.
Lurker21: "Everybody claims a mandate when they win. Why would Trump be any different?"
Because as we have seen demonstrated repeatedly and heatedly by our lunatic lefties, in particular gadfly, everything normal and typically done becomes wrong and criminal if Trump does it. Or doesn't do it. Or even thinks about it. Or doesn't think about it. etc.
Trump can claim credit for literally every R win. If it's a MAGA republican, well, the reason is obvious. If it's someone that publicly distanced themselves from him, well, he helped them, too.
Mike: "Well why not? After all Team Biden claimed credit for Slow Joe's "leadership" in getting one of the largest increases in Social Security "benefits". Then they realized that was a prize not worth claiming and backed down."
The Biden team idiots also pulled it down because someone, very slowly and very patiently explained, it was Nixon that tied annual SocSec increases to the inflation rate, not Biden.
Naturally all the lefties, like gadfly, had to stop flitting about and giving credit to their earthly New Soviet Democratical "gods".

Thanks for the advice, gadfly. My wife and I voted early yesterday but in person. No mail-in for us. Yes, we are both "election deniers."
Big Mike: "Of course, it helped that the Democrats dumped an estimated $53M into promoting Trump-endorsed candidates in the primary."
This is very important underreported story. As with Jimmy Carter and his "brain trust" who believed Reagan would be much easier to beat than the milquetoast Bush The Elder, the New Soviet Democraticals pumped up the Trump endorsee's believing they would be easier to beat which, as Big Mike points out, completely missed where the electorate is heading.
A massive error akin to gadfly thinking Liz Cheney, who just passionately and strongly endorsed Nancy Pelosi and every other democrat running, is the "conscience" of the "True Republican" party. Nice call gadfly! I think your gal Liz might be hanging out with Hillary Clinton as we speak! Probably discussing ways to conservatively "conserve conservatism!".
Just to finish off here, the reason the dems funding the Trump endorsees is such an underreported story is because the media doesn't want their New Soviet Democratical pals to have to explain how it is that if these "election deniers" and "super duper ultra MEGA MAGA" types are a direct threat to our "democracy" (no one told them about the representative republic...you know....the thing!) then why were dems spending tens of millions pumping those candidates up?
Why doesn't Trump deserve the credit? If nothing else, he has remained alive as the boogeyman for Progressives to this day. Their terror & fury of Trump is what has driven their actions. It's their own fault, if it's true.
Any election that involves any mention of "January 6th" or "insurrection" or "threat to our democracy" involves President Trump. Consequently, the Axios headline is fake news.
Trump deserves credit primarily for teaching conservatives how to fight, and that straight up fighting is necessary. The MAGA republicans all know how to punch and counterpunch, and are not afraid to mix it up with, and call out, the main stream media. Trump's endorsement matters, but what matters more to the Trump voters is that candidates like Kari Lake consistently fight for their voters and aren't afraid of the media or the democrats. In the long term, Trump will be remembered for his incredibly positive presidency and all of the historic economic results, as well as his willingness to fight and lead a revolution in how conservatives respond to the hatred of the left.
Conspiracy theorists are saying: “Wait until Election Day, go and vote in person, wait until 3 o’clock in the afternoon, overwhelm the system, expose the algorithm.”
Those must be Democrats based on this tweet out of Philly: "It appears the GOP may have 350,000 more voters turnout than projected while the DEMS may fall 200,000+ voters short of projections. That’s a net-shift of 550,000 voters in favor of Republicans."
All those Democrats waiting until 3 o'clock in the afternoon Election Day, gadfly? Tell us more about the Democrats conspiracy plans to overwhelm the system late on Election Day that you seem to be aware.
Hasn't Trump had more rallies than Biden during this campaign? He has not been perfect, but he has been there for those he backed. Has he worked harder than Biden for candidates in this election? Clearly. And if Republican turnout surges as expected why not take some credit? He deserves it. He has kept the base fired up and he has underscored that there are alternatives to the mess the Biden administration has created.
I say this hoping that he doesn't run in 2024, but apparently that is a forlorn hope.
Interesting tweet on early voting/mail -in voting in Philly this year. I believe that all the attention to voter fraud will help clean up the election this year. Mail-ins and absentee ballots are being much more closely watched. The ballot harvesting game is much better known. As always there will be games played in some places, but both parties are watching much more closely this year and possible miscreants are more aware of the punishment that may be handed out if caught.
I hope my faith in my fellow man is not misplaced!
I was thinking of a shot glass of lefty tears on Tuesday but hope I might need a tumbler.
Ah, yes. A day without a DJT hit piece is like finding a silver dollar on the sidewalk.
Romney has already given credit to mitch mcconnell for winning the Senate. Just as he blamed Trump in October 2020 for losing the Senate, and losing the Senate in october 2016. Never forget Mittens demanded Trump drop out in October 2016 and give the Presidency to Hillary.
Well Then.. Read This "Sparky"!

If you think Trump has nothing to do with the changing of the GOP, you've had your head very far up your bottom for much too long.
As for Trump jumping in on Nov 14...I'd rather he had not leaked anything until after Tuesday.

The Democrats actually spent money on Trump endorsed candidates in Republican primaries assuming they would be losers. McConnell had his PAC withdraw money from Trump endorsed candidates like Kari Lake and Blake Masters, Hershel Walker and Vance. If they win, and I think they will, he deserves credit for identifying candidates who can hear the voters, instead of the donors.
2024 Prediction:
Trump v Biden - Biden wins again
DeSantis v Biden - Biden is crushed.
Temujin: "As for Trump jumping in on Nov 14...I'd rather he had not leaked anything until after Tuesday."
I believe the Trump "leak" is counter-posturing against the corrupt Stasi-DOJ which leaked, ahead of Trump's "leak", the fact it has been having many internal discussions regarding appointing a special counsel against Trump should Trump happen to declare for the Presidency.
I believe this is Trump's way of pushing back against them publicly after their not-so-veiled threats of further corrupt "investigations" as part of their permanent lawfare-investigation strategy against Trump, his family and his businesses.
To fairly evaluate Trump’s influence, you will have to compare the margins of Trump-endorsed candidates with the margins of non-Trump endorsed GOP candidates. For example, if Walker wins in Georgia, look at how well he did compared to Kemp, who is facing the same statewide electorate. Etc.
