Kurt Schrader is a moderate Democrat from a purple district in Oregon (Ds have a 2% registration advantage). In 2018, after Dems recaptured the House, he was one of a handful in his caucus not to vote for Pelosi as speaker. In 2022 Nancy got her revenge by pouring money into Schrader's primary challenger, Jamie McLeod-Skinner. Skinner lost, flipping the district Red.
This was an unforced error by the Dems.
