CBS News has decided it's once again safe to use Twitter - but only for the moment!
— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) November 20, 2022
They are continuing to "assess security concerns" and "monitor the situation."
If there are more outbreaks of free speech or hearing from people journalists dislike, they may retreat again. https://t.co/o0ZtgFshCk

Greenwald has that NYC ball busting skill. Ball busting is acceptable and encouraged in the northeast. I had to tone it down when I moved to the Midwest.
CBS: No one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle
Go away, CBS “News”. You are no longer relevant.
Hilarious. “We are monitoring the situation”. Twitter is the main media game in world. It’s powerful. You only self censor yourself out of the game.
Musk replied to a tweet pointing out CBS’ supposed exit and asked “who made this decision?”
Who in charge would want to raise their hand for that one? Musk is failing so badly Twitter is becoming more relevant.
That’s why nobody is writing about it, nor discussing it. He doing it the wrong way.
The Insider, a great movie, does a good job docucmenting the moment that CBS News began its pathetic decline.
Pausing for "much of the weekend" will certainly teach Musk a lesson.
"Courage" - Dan 'fake but true' Rather
Shorter CBS: The decline in web traffic and clickthroughs at our CBS News site could not be sustained.
Took only 40 hours to determine Truth Social no safer.
CBS is already back on Twitter. You can’t make this shit up… 🤣
CBS…is that Cowardly Bastard Sellouts? Where is Walter Cronkite when the cowardly bastards need cover for selling us out

CBS marked safe from Twitter free speech.
The walls of the Fourth Estate have been breached by the common people, the peasants, the deplorables in diversity.
What is this paralyzing fear about? Seeing something that might offend someone? Have we devolved that far as a society?
Dan Rather could not be reached for comment on Bush's ANG service or his own expulsion from the Marine Corps. In basic training,
CBS' virtue-signaling completely backfired on them.
They expected ABC, NBC, CNN, etc., to follow their lead. When that didn't happen and, when no one cared (NYT didn't write an indignant column urging news organizations to follow CBS' lead), they sheepishly came back.
Could be worse, a parody account could admit to CBS being a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Of course, so could the real CBS.
Next up: Typing Talkers of Twitter h/t CBS
Twitter is where journ-o-lists get the news they report to their employers for publishing. How could they stay away for any length of time?
readering: "Took only 40 hours to determine Truth Social no safer."
Did readering give Howard and gadfly control of his/her/xer's Althouse blog account? The middle school-level gaslighting is getting much worse.
The hysteria of the left is both amazing and hilarious. The Anti-Defamation League weighs in with an "end of democracy" tweet, to which Musk replies "Hey, stop defaming me".

A worldwide audience of hundreds of millions of people will not go unserved.
When ever somebody says "out of an abundance of caution," you know that they are embarrassed by their decision.
I love that "outbreaks of free speech".
Thanks for the morning laugh, Lem. As I've often found, all of life's answers can be found somewhere in a Monty Python script or a Seinfeld episode.
Dilbert.com is still down today. DDoS? Two days is a very long time to be offline.

Fascists define "safer" as places where their political opponents are not allowed to disagree with them.

While this is off-topic, here, gocomics.com is also offline and has been for approximately the same period as Dilbert.
So CBS is ridiculous for this.
While Althouse is justified re censoring most of my comments such that folks here cannot read them in the threads.
Got it.
Logic is tricky.
