AMEN.

Leftist media = lies lies and more lies. but it's for Hillary and Biden and all the other insider crooks.

It is a reckoning that Big Media seems unable to acknowledge, and we all know the first step is admitting you are fake news. Either that or we acknowledge mistakes can be made BUT this requires you acknowledge your errors just as loudly and widely as you spread the BS.

And they can't. They want all the power and no responsibility, which is why the audiences are dwindling for traditional news sources or they remain but with few believing what they say.

Seen going viral on the net yesterday:

"If Alex Jones's disinformation is worth a billion dollars, than the Associated Press and their "secret intelligence source" owe us all at least a couple thousand for almost getting us into WWIII over Polish-murdering Ukrainian missiles."

Amen. Please also wake me when they're held accountable for aiding-and-abetting Blasey-Ford's smear of Brett Kavanaugh.

Why, if I didn't know better, I would almost think that the Mainstream Media would lie about anything/everything to advance the Liberal/Democrat narrative/agenda.

Almost.

Unfortunately in my experience this isn't true. I know and work with dozens of people who believe the MSM and immediately forget the lies to avoid cognitive dissonance. When I remind them of the lies they dismiss them as old news.

Watch, Hunter's laptop and the Biden family corruption will be dismissed as old news and the story will be about the evil Republicans harassing the Bidens.

Good catch. It is impossible for one to keep a complete list since it grows longer by the second.

Oh you curmudgeonly Althouse readers and commentors! Who cares any more about what is fake news or real news or any news or anything published or streamed or written?

The clicks on the links are real, real, real money!
So are the number of views!

This is about cash, people! Cold, hard, cash. The competition is fierce and cutthroat, showing a 15 second portrait aspect video of an overly maked-up girl doing a little dance routine while lip syncing lyrics to some Arabic language song, or a guy hitting his girlfriend in the face with a chocolate pie while the cute dog barks. You can't expect the AP and CBS News to compete with that by frumpily telling you verified facts about the potential steps towards WWIII, do you?

Get current, folks. The competition for advertising dollars is fierce. It's the wild west free market. Anything goes. The dinosaurs of media get left behind. The only question of concern is whether the portrait aspect is best to show a mushroom cloud (and it probably is.)

Yes, but about half the country either believes it or finds it a reassuring pretext for continuing to vote the way it does. Therefore, the MSM sees no reason to stop lying. In fact, it feels rewarded and esteemed for doing so.

You need to click the image to see the whole thing. When you do that, you'll see the "Charlottesville hoax" — "Good people on both sides" — is the second item: "Trump called neo-Nazis 'fine people'"

Lexington Green said...

"Trump called neo-Nazis 'fine people."

Yeah. Lie.

Trump said there were fine people on both sides of the issue of whether the statue should come down.

As always the target-rich actual Trump is never rich enough for his enemies, who need an imaginary orange Hitler to hate.

Those are pretty good odds, though.

Musk is correct. It is true. That is a well known and growing list. It's not new to Twitter. Scott Adams has promoted that hoax media list. For Adams the "fine people hoax" is the biggest hoax. It's almost a litmus test to see if you fall for the other bullshit on the list.

Trump NEVER called neo-Nazi's fine people. Trump never defended neo-Nazis. The fact of the matter was at Charlottesville there were, and are, fine people on both sides of the fence. Full quotes:

Trump, Aug. 14, 2017: "As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America.

And as I have said many times before: No matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty God. We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry, and violence. We must rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.

Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our Creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our Constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America."

Next:

Reporter, Aug. 15, 2017: You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides

Trump: Well, I do think there’s blame – yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. You look at, you look at both sides. I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And, and, and, and if you reported it accurately, you would say.

Reporter: The neo-Nazis started this thing. They showed up in Charlottesville. …

Trump: Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo — and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down, of to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. …

It’s fine, you’re changing history, you’re changing culture, and you had people – and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally – but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people, but you also had troublemakers and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats – you had a lot of bad people in the other group too.

Reporter: I just didn’t understand what you were saying. You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly? …

Trump: No, no. There were people in that rally, and I looked the night before. If you look, they were people protesting very quietly, the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day, it looked like they had some rough, bad people, neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call them. But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest, because you know, I don’t know if you know, they had a permit. The other group didn’t have a permit. So I only tell you this: There are two sides to a story."

The second thing on the list is "Trump called neo-Nazi's fine people". That is a lie, and I put the full quoted text above for intelligent context. It matters.

Trump did say there were "fine people" on both sides at Charlottesville. And if you read his full quotes, that's true. And he condemned neo-Nazi's numerous times.

"Trump called neo-Nazi's fine people" is a hoax and a lie. Any person that can read knows it. Unless of course...it fill and idea of prejudice you want filled in your own head, for your own comfort and validation. That's why this shit works so well on liberals.

This is incredible. Imagine two years ago, or a year ago, you'd see a guy like Musk buy Twitter, and then boldly and publicly rebuke the Democrat and MSM lies that drove us all nuts.

Musk is restoring banned accounts which should have never been banned in the first place.

He's pulling books out of the fire and roasting the book burners at the same time.

Not only is Musk taking on the MSM...he's making fun of them.

I see that the definition of “insurrection” is a “a violent uprising against an authority or government.”

Was January 6th:

Not violent?
Not an uprising?
Not posed against an authority or government?

Counting votes is the first step in determining a free government and Trump’s goon squad of MAGAtrons violently tried to prevent that. He led it from the podium and then watched and applauded it from his bunker in the WH.
