It's confusing when it's obvious the guy has made a lot of bad decisions, but I agree with everything he says.

I'm also confused about the pants in the selfie-photo. Are they??....or are they not?

Partial knowledge (the feeling the election was stolen) is still knowledge.

The way to break out of that is to go and find out for sure.

Amusing optical illusion in this photo for me. I had to look very closely to convince myself I was not seeing a Samoan man in a grass skirt. Seriously.

I bought an AI text reader. Don’t bother if you want one to read public domain epubs, it finishes every sentence the exact same way, making the text hard to follow. Maybe if you are looking to put in the same effort as reading, it could work while you can’t physically read something, IDK. It feels like wasted money to me.

In the beginning, I wasn’t for MLB instant replay, owning to romantic notions of tradition as expressed by trusted students and lovers of the game.

But as the tech advanced, not knowing for sure about a close call became a distraction from the enjoyment of the game.

Not knowing about the integrity of elections, could in time lead to less citizens participation. The opposite of what those in elected positions of authority say they want… strike that… everybody says they want more participation, not less. With the exception of comics doing a bit about the intelligence of the American voter.

That pose -- the outstretched arm with clutching hand, the grin, slightly back-thrown head -- that's the icon of the 21st century. Archeology is well stocked with artifacts and images incorporating similar elements, but these are generally interpreted as invocations of a god or a salute directed at a chieftain or king, something polar opposite to the modern intent. Tom Wolfe called his book The Me Decade, probably because "The Age of Me" was far too apocalyptic. I must confess that I am thoroughly bamboozled by that popular compulsion to layer one's own face over the natural beauty or an interesting image. I've never taken a selfie because there's nothing less interesting to me than my own face. In fact, I seldom use a mirror, even to shave.

Last spring I visited the Museum of Modern Art, as I always do, partly to be bemused and amused by those stupid, nonsensical little this is why this pile of filthy detritus is ART! cards, but mostly to revisit the Van Goughs. As I hiked toward the collection I witnessed a minor altercation between a visitor and a museum employee, not a security guard, probably a docent or some such. Anyway, the guy had aligned himself in that pose, prepping to snap a selfie with Starry Night over his shoulder. Photography is strictly forbidden there, as it is in nearly every museum, but those Apple-inspired habits die hard.

Usually, I'd just think my reaction, but this time I spoke it aloud, loud enough to make an echo, "What an idiot!" Those who heard me probably assumed my off-color expostulation referred to the transgressor's flagrant defiance of well-established rules, which it was in part, but mostly it was my disapproval of the selfie as a concept. So my advice to you, dear reader, is when the urge arises to lift your phone and assume that stance -- conquer it.

DISSIDENT
@philthatremains
Biden ordered the raid on Trumps house.

A sitting U.S. president sent the FBI to raid his political rivals home.

Fox reported, "Trump medical records, tax documents seized in FBI raid: judge.

"Judge Aileen M. Cannon reveals FBI seized medical docs and correspondence related to Trump's taxes and accounting information."

The FBI stole those documents.

The Florida State Police need to arrest all 30 FBI agents involved in this unconstitutional raid.

The charge?

Fishing without a license.

From the MOMA website: "Still photography is permitted for personal, noncommercial use only unless otherwise noted. Video is not permitted. Flash, tripods, and camera extension poles are not allowed."

I've been in lots of museums that allow photography. I have lots of photographs in this blog archive that were taken in museums, including MOMA.

Here's an example of my MOMA photography.

I love framing the art, the museum goers, and the architecture. Great subject matter!

Yes. Just think if Fauci had read any recent literature on virology. Birx was actually worse as she went around Haranguing Governors to shut down their state. We will be dealing with the damage for a decade.

Is there a difference between sunrise selfies and moonrise selfies? Sunset moon over the Bay may be nice tonight.

I think I’ve figured out what I dislike about Tiktok-it’s the narcissism of it all.
I always like your photos!

Late to this thread but, I've always harbored the belief our hostess never interacts with people, especially normies she may meet on her "runs". I dunno, I'm an AM walker and should I see personages, as shown, I'd interact with them conversationally. I go back to her working days when we'd see her in coffee shop with giant coffee mug, open tablet and no other sapien in sight. I almost think she's an Obama/Clinton/Biden dismissive of everyday persons because she doesn't bother to know any of us.
