Mary Trump on How She Keeps Getting Away with Talking About Her Uncle.
Just kidding. The article — in Slate, by Dahlia Lithwick — is "Mary Trump on How Her Uncle Keeps Getting Away With It."

In several cases, Trump has "gotten away with it" because the "it" was fabricated from whole cloth by his political opponents. Is that mentioned in the article I am not going to read?
Geez. That's nothing. Trump isn't a pro at staying out of prison Mary. How long has be involved in politics? Exactly. You need to be in DC for at least 40 years before you can shower with your underage daughter and get away with it.
Now THAT'S impressive.
The first paragraphs read like something from Fox OAN and Alex Jones. Morons. I've got Morons on my team. (Apologies to Strother Martin)
Stupid publication written by a propagandist for stupid people.
I used to read Slate every day.
Now I had forgotten about that website completely until today, when I went to your linked article.
I don't remember why I stopped reading Slate. I don't remember anything bad about it. I just drifted away from it, somehow.
I must say, though, that this Slate interview with Mary Trump was remarkably stupid.
I see what you did there and approve.
Grifter.
She'd sell zero books if her name was Mary Smith.
It's amazing to see the press and liberals fawn over the empty ethos of Mary Trump regarding anything the orange man does.
Has there ever been anyone in history like Trump, whose detractors and haters are completely reliant upon his continued success for their own survival and shallow relevance?
Mary Trump would be an unknown NOTHING without her famous Uncle. Like Billy Carter or Roger Clinton. Although Billy Carter was likable. Billy Beer and all.
Mary Trump is worse though. She's a Liz Cheney...a Meghan McCain...a Mika Brzezinski...
The only ethos behind their rhetoric is the sperm donated by the sire.
she keeps getting away with it, because the MSM keeps PAYING her to do it
Donald Trump continues to serve as clickbait for partisans.
Perfect Slate article as it brings us no closer to understanding what Slate is. Marcel Duchamp would be so jealous.
Also love how Dahlia Lithwick pretends she's having a conversation with Mary Trump but then gives all the answers too because M.T. is too dim to take any cues.
Amazing that Lithwick could cover the Supreme Court for decades and not seem to be able to grasp the role of either journalist or legal commentator. She makes her old peers at Salon -- you know, the vibrator reviewers -- seem comparatively erudite in their field of study.
In fairness, I guess they are.
Everyone involved in the interview, Mary, Dahlia, and buttinsky Norm, should have recused themselves.
I look at articles like this from Slate in the same manner as I look at a landfill driving past it on a country road. Sometimes I wonder how they get all of that shit in one place.
Unsurprisingly, Mary Trump is also a mask dead ender.
Slate on How It Keeps Getting Away with Talking About Donald Trump by Pretending They're Writing About Mary.

I'll trade you 10 of our morons for every 1000 of your woke white hypocrites. You've got plenty to sift through.
Depending on the level of wealth, we can negotiate 20 of our morons for every 500 of your woke hypocrites, especially if they come from Martha's Vineyard, The Hamptons, or any rich white protected enclave inside a violent Democrat metropolitan area.
40 for 250 if you can pluck them from a tenured university or administrative position.
Nothing is being offered for your die hard pedophilia, grooming, and infanticide supporters. I've developed a screening system.

Spoken as if you were one of the brighter people on your team. Biden voters as a group aren't particularly mentally gifted. And I'm being kind.
What exactly is the "it" that DJT keeps "getting away with?"
Besides living rent-free in lefties' waking thoughts and nightmares, that is.
Donald Trump is essentially America's most famous political prisoner.
Or about to be, anyway.
They simply cannot let him be President again or they'll all hang.
Is she from the 'poor' branch of the family?
I always wondered about the dynamic of families where one member is insanely wealthy compared to the others.
It is odd that she is the daughter of Fred, Donald's older brother that he idolized.
I get it, she's bitter for some reason. But just live your life graciously and keep the family dirty laundry private...
Howard, unlike me, reads "Slate" and is proud of it. Morons read "Slate."

And yet those "morons" get you to reverse your talking points at their whim.
Perhaps the "morons" on your side include......you know.....you.
I started to read te article. But the first two paragraphs were all that was needed.
But, please, those that read the whole thing, tell me did Trump shower with her until she was 14?
Slate was a big deal when it started out. First, because there wasn't really anything like it at the time. Second, because Michael Kinsley was already known from television. Third, because Bill Gates was involved.
Kinsley left in 2002, Gates sold the site in 2004, and now literally everything else in the liberal media is like Slate and slate is like literally everything else in the liberal media. Nobody pays attention to it, because it's all stuff that you could see elsewhere in the media -- and probably have.
I don't read anything other than Althouses posts, about 1% of her linked content and about 5% of the comments. I spend most of my time skimming over and speed watching/listening non news content, eg art, athletics, health and wellness, philosophy, science and history. Most of my time is spent working out, doing chores, eating and sleeping.
This is what us ADHD Dyslexics do. We are impatient intuitive bottom line pricks.

If you need help with your reading, I can send you and old primer on phonics. Equating Fox with Alex Jones is akin to equating CNN to news.
'This is what us ADHD Dyslexics do. We are impatient intuitive bottom line pricks.'
You got the last word correct...
Mary Trump would be an unknown NOTHING without her famous Uncle. Like Billy Carter or Roger Clinton.
Isn't it time for somebody to rediscover and reevaluate Roger's musical oeuvre?
Don't journalists like doing things like that?
Dahlia Lithwick sounds like the fluffier at the porno shoot.
Dahlia Lithwick! Now there's a name to wipe your ass with!
She's like Cindy Sheehan, who was a big deal when she could be used as a political tool and was quickly discarded when she became inconvenient. At least Cindy had suffered a loss that made her sympathetic, if not especially knowledgeable of the issue she championed. That probably explained why Cindy was much more impactful than Mary Trump.
Have not read Mary Trump piece. Don't need her to tell me Orange Man Bad.
But other good stuff on Slate today.
What exactly is the "it" that DJT keeps "getting away with?"
Stealing the 2016 elections is the "it", but they pretend like that's not what they mean so they can claim such talk about the 2020 elections is insurrection. I'm not saying I agree, I'm just noting Trump's original sin.
Mary Trump's father, a commercial airline pilot, drank himself to death very young. She sued the family over her grandfather's will. She is traumatized and resentful.
Trump doesn't drink, but he also doesn't criticize Mary's father. He regrets his death and urges others to not drink because he so admired his brother -- her father.
She should have more grace.

She's a boring farter with a famous name and relative and can't let it go because she lacks the imagination and bravado to contemplate a return to her own life - the one that she owns and that is about herself.
What a sad, empty husk-like existence. "Sad!"
