"Because breasts are highly visible, they can make transitioning difficult and cause intense distress for these teenagers, fueling the demand for top surgeries."

"Small studies have shown that many transgender adolescents report significant discomfort related to their breasts, including difficulty showering, sleeping and dating. As the population of these adolescents has grown, top surgery has been offered at younger ages....  As demand has grown, Dr. Gallagher... has built a thriving top surgery specialty. The doctor frequently posts photos, FAQs and memes on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, proudly flouting professional mores in favor of connecting with hundreds of thousands of followers. Her feeds often fill with photos tagged #NipRevealFriday, highlighting patients like Michael whose bandages were just removed. On her office windowsill sits a framed nameplate with one of her best-known catchphrases on TikTok: 'Yeet the Teet,' slang for removing breasts."

"Dr. Gallagher said she performed top surgeries on about 40 patients a month, and roughly one or two of them are under 18. Younger patients are usually at least 15, though she has operated on one 13-year-old and one 14-year-old, she said, both of whom had extreme distress about their chests.... Roughly one-third of those who underwent surgery reported ongoing loss of nipple sensation. Only one patient expressed occasional feelings of regret, when imagining wanting to breastfeed a future child.... Most patients were surveyed less than two years after their surgeries, and nearly 30 percent could not be contacted or declined to participate.... Many surgeons say that they rarely hear about patients with regret. But it’s unclear how many, like Jamie, never inform them. Dr. Gallagher of Miami said that she follows up with patients for up to a year. 'I can say this honestly: I don’t know of a single case of regret' Dr. Gallagher said in May, adding that regret was much more common with cosmetic procedures. But one of her former top surgery patients, Grace Lidinsky-Smith, has been vocal about her detransition on social media and in news reports. 'I slowly came to terms with the fact that it had been a mistake borne out of a mental health crisis,' Ms. Lidinsky-Smith, 28, said in an interview."

The doc is laughing all the way to the bank. Recovered Memories was popular, too until the lawsuits came. This stuff makes me more sympathetic to lawyers.

When breast cancer and the resulting mastectomies were first beginning to be discussed in the media, I recall a lot of talk about how traumatizing and debilitating it was for a woman to have a breast removed, even if doing so saved her life. What's changed?

This is a surprisingly skeptical article. It acknowledges that the studies these doctors rely on are small, and it points out that the outcome data is sparse because these doctors lose touch with a significant number of their patients.

Read about Narcissistic Personality Disorder and then keep it in mind while reading about transgender people.

It doesn't explain everyone, but it explains a lot of the behavior that makes it into the media.

I've met trans people who aren't super touchy and insecure. But... they aren't a problem for everyone else. It's a free country.

But the ones who insist on forcing everyone to cater to them are a problem, and I think it's best explained by NPD. If they weren't trans, they'd just be something else.

Satanic rituals in preschools and recovered memories are old discarded history by now. Those ignorant of those rituals can go on to find new ways to express their discomfort with reality and shape the future with paradigms yet undiscovered. When will young teens out on the far end of some physical or psychological bell curve not find distress with their failure to fit in comfortably? My observed history says these young teens are often victimized by people willing to manipulate their distress to their own ends.

Once seen, this cannot be unseen. That's the only thing I can see that is happening here. All else is sophistry. Save these young people from themselves, if you can. Make this harder, not easier. Examine some motives and exercise some patience. There are lives at stake. That part is true.

well, GUESS WHAT? a small study, just conducted by gilbar, shows conclusively that this is ALL a scam; perpetrated by women hating queers, that WANT to mutilate young girls that aren't old enough to even get tattoos let alone breast removal.
TRUST THE SCIENCE!!!

Serious Question
If a 13 year old anorexic girl, goes to a doctor.. Will the doctor provide diet pills? Liposuction ?

40 surgeries/month multiples by x thousands of dollars explains a lot. Somehow I think it's more than 2-3 who are under 18.

"Studies suggest"

Beware those words. "Studies" can be tortured until they will suggest any damn thing you want them to. According to some Democrats, studies suggest that men can become pregnant.

First, through stupid Hollywood 'morality' and deficient social media structures many adults stunted and malformed their children. In the words of a high school teacher, "Early childhood sexuality is like opening a flower bud before it's ready to bloom. You can see the beautiful petals inside but it'll soon wither and die and never become a flower or reach it's full potential." Nature exists.

Next, parents and teachers offer child sacrifices up to Mother Earth (Gaia) in penance for their luxury lifestyles. Just as they reach puberty and a routinely difficult but ordinary life phase: "Chop off my daughter's bits, as then she won't add to the earth's population problems. I can still enjoy my annual trips to Europe and the Caribbean, but I'm a good person. My daughter will be a martyr like Joan of Arc."

Third, the psychopathic bullies and greedy doctors step in. "We need more money. We need more partners to crush the normies." Anything it takes to keep the gravy train flowing.

When do we bring back altars for child sacrifices on top of pyramids? I'm sure the Roman haruspex profession will come roaring back soon.

For heaven's sake. Girls growing breasts almost ALWAYS feel uncomfortable about them. It used to be that that was one of the topics dealt with in those lectures where they separated boys and girls to talk about Changes: in vain would the teacher try to convince the girls with still small but burgeoning bosoms that "there's nothing to be ashamed of." It isn't shame that girls feel but - as the article notes - discomfort at how publicly your body is announcing, "I am woman."

Where things go off the rails is - well, apparently immediately, but basically in assuming that if an adolescent is uncomfortable about growing breasts, it's probably because the kid is trans and cutting them off will solve the "problem."

Sounds pretty serious. Probably better to just euthanize them, skip the palliative care.

Last week, Libs of Tic Tok exposed the University of Wisconsin Medical System for performing body mutilation surgeries on minors.

You can scroll through the tweets. Dr. Katherine Gast seems to be the leader of it all and will operation on minors. She also claims puberty blockers have no long term affects…but I can’t imagine there are long term studies completed…just like the mRNA shots.

Of course after the Libs of Tic Tok exposure University of Wisconsin Heath made their YouTube videos private, and scrubbed their website of all information relating to the gender program.

If they think it is 100% ethical and moral, why scrub the information once it is exposed to the public at large? Why not defend it???

Also, if removing breasts is not a cosmetic procedure under these circumstances, WTF is it?

Permanent surgery or drugs for minors should be a crime. Of course many early teen girls feel uncomfortable about their breasts--boys start staring, it reminds them of sex with which they are not comfortable yet, etc. But that is not a reason for surgery.

So now people are talking about loss of nipple sensation. Does anyone speak of the same consequence for breast augmentation on women who have become convinced that bigger boobs will solve their self image issues? Of course plastic surgeons are looking for the next payday. They've been doing it from the start.

Surgery of this nature and administering of puberty blockers will be made illegal in Nebraska in 2023. I'm also thinking that the state can define the standard of care in this area in order to allow, in essence, lawsuits where liability isn't an issue. Make these surgery cases like work comp cases. The only issue will be damages. Nebraska has a med mal cap so the numbers won't be that big. The key thing here is stopping these actions prospectively.

I don't see how these fucking ghouls are allowed to do this.

Transgender conversion therapy through surgical, medical, or psychiatric corruption is sanctioned by the State (e.g. FA[R]CE), Progressive Clinic, and Social Liberals (e.g. Some, Select [Black] Lives Matter) under the Pro-Choice ethical religion, formerly under the Twilight Amendment.

They blame the breast removal for trouble dating? That delusional stems from the fact they believed they could become male, and physiologists/psychiatrists enabled it.

That brings up an interesting question. What do you suppose they pay in malpractice premiums? Do you think their insurance providers know how they make all that money?

This breaks my heart for these young women. As Jamie says, every teen girl knows these feelings. The joke, "Hey, my eyes are up here," is based on the prominence of the bosom. I would guess that a young man finding his erection leading the parade is equally unnerved. We used to be better at helping teens understand the normality of these embarrassments.

I can understand wondering what's it's like to be the opposite sex. I can't understand why any adult, let alone a medical professional presumably familiar with the Hippocratic Oath, would permit anyone deemed too immature to vote, serve in the military, drink, or marry mutilate their body.

I don't mind anyone expressing themselves, portraying themselves as they wish they were. That's our 1st Amendment. I do mind imposing one's views on another thereby limiting the latter's freedom. And I cannot fathom why we waste time debating rights over and above those one obtains at birth as a male or female. That's it, no matter how one expresses oneself, regardless of whether they celebrate Halloween 24/7/365, the rights you think you have today as a gender fluid, black/white/in-between, polyamorous, sometimes pony or whatever, are any more than the rights you possessed fresh out of the womb.

Two very different things.
The first thing you have to understand is, teenagers don't know shit. So the last thing you take seriously is when your teenage son comes up to you and says," I wanna be a princess!"

It's our subsidized healthcare dollars paying for these expensive mutilations, including for prisoners, and also for PrEP drugs so HIV positive men can keep barebacking youths and unsuspecting female partners without -- maybe without -- infecting them.

But actually sick people get refused less expensive, necessary healthcare and medications every day. Families with asthma and Type 1 diabetes go broke paying for drugs needed daily just to sustain life while we underwrite free PrEP for anyone, no matter how rich, merely so they can continue to be promiscuous and careless. And the adherence to this drug regime is awful, so it is actually contributing to a rise in new infections in some populations who have been given false expectations that these drugs will enable them to continue destructive lifestyles.

On top of being immoral to spend tax dollars this way, it is also selfish and cruel, literally taking medically necessary care away from others to gratify mentally ill, politically powerful narcissists. And it's young people paying the price.
