It's primary day in Wisconsin. What have the GOP candidates for Governor said about the raid on Mar-a-Lago?

Meade said he will vote for the first candidate who condemns it. Going solely by the candidates' Twitter accounts, we have this from Tim Michels, at 8:29 last night: There's this at 10:58 from Timonthy Ramthun: Yeah, don't missabuse the law. You've got to abuse it the right way. Or should I say you've got to sabuse it the right way?

Here's the Twitter feed for Rebecca Kleefisch. She has no relevant posts about the raid (or any other recent news), just 3 posts about her "#TakeBackWI Tour," naming particular places — Waukesha County, Green Bay, Eau Claire — and asking for votes ("Let’s win tomorrow!")

As for the other candidate, Adam Fischer, is this is his Twitter account? It only has 33 followers, and there are no recent posts.

Here are the recent polls, showing Kleefisch and Michels in a tight race. Kleefisch was way ahead back in April, but they've been neck and neck since June. Under the Meade test, Michels is the clear choice.

UPDATE: In the afternoon, Kleefisch did tweet in support of Trump:

Vote like the Republic depended on it because it does.

If Trump goes to jail, does his secret service detail go with him?
Only a politicized and weaponized DOJ knows for sure.

Suggestion: Have a Guest Post from Meade every once in awhile. Maybe a weekly feature. I like the cut of his jib.

What happened in Wisconsin was just a test run. They didn't have all of the kinks worked out until they managed to eviscerate voting safeguards.

The most outrageous part of all of this (to me) is that the Secret Service colluded with the FBI and let the agents waltz in. If the FBI can give advanced notice to the Secret Service, clearly they can give notice to Trump and his attorneys.

It's still not enough to get me to support Foxconn Don ("Taiwan Don"? 🤔), but it is disturbing.

“A man’s home is a sacred place.“

How patriarchal. As there have been no condemnational tweets from Melanie Trump, maybe she consented to the search. And by “home” he means the hotel resort club that taxpayers paid multi-millions to be the Winter White House, and are still paying to provide Secret Service protection. A man’s hotel resort club is his government-funded castle.

After seeing Rebecca Kleefisch in public with Mike Pence, I'm voting for Tim Michels today. She's not Scott Walker. I don't believe with the WI fraud she stands a chance, and she is too timid to call it out. She needs to go Kari Lake but she won't.

We need more people in power who are not lifelong politicians or part of the establishment.

Voting in the GOP Primary in Wisconsin today is probably a waste of time. The WEC is still defying the State Legislature and allowing ballot "curing". Racine simply turned their ballot drop boxes into mobile ballot drop boxes. Democrats are hell bent on supporting and participating in absentee voting to corrupt and confuse the system...even if they are not confined and healthy.

I'm sure Madison will host another ballot harvesting in the park event and destroy chain of custody. After the Trump raid yesterday you know we are at a whole new level of establishment and deep state tyranny. They will do anything to maintain control.

To be fair, it was commenter Mr. Forward who made it a test. I merely adopted and—in about 30 minutes—will apply the Mr. Forward Test.

Um ... what does the Democrat candidate think?

Why let Democrats off the hook?

Unfortunately, the Republican Party is a clown car, but it's all we have to push in front of this fascist takeover of our country.

"missabuse"

Like "misunderestimated?"
Is Ranthum trying to be cute? Now is not the time for a Republican candidate to invoke George W Bush.

Gusty Winds - thanks for the Wisconsin Democrat cheat machine update.

Of course she doesn't. She just went full Mike Pence / establishment sellout. She somehow feels entitled to the nomination. If she thinks MAGA is going to come out in droves for her in November, she is sorely mistaken.

Biggest issue of the day, and probably our times...and she stays silent. That lacks courage and all leadership.

No, it would be like "missunderestimated."

What's with the double "s"?

My guess: Somebody spent too much time worrying about misspelling the word "misspelling" (and lapsed into thinking the prefix is "miss-").

What's with the double "s"?

Maybe it's a secret Nazi signal, like flashing the okay sign.

That receding speck in the distance is Dobbs outrage. The Donks best weapon in their lust for power was single-minded concentration. They can't do that anymore.

Wisconsin will be a useful test. The state that elected and reaffirmed Scott Walker, then elected the school board type will tell us a bit about the present.

I'm no Kleefish fan, but this post illustrates why the GOP is thoroughly fucked. You can't win a war when you are shooting *your own troops* you clowns. Kleefish has been a loyal soldier and a hardcore Trump supporter. Now the Trumpies are out to destroy her for no reason other than Trump endorsed Michels. Why does Trump have to be Trumpie against his own allies? Trump's already gone out and said that Kleefish can't beat Evers. Great! Who even needs the democrats when the GOP is so good and destroying one another.

It's fun to watch though.

I just voted in the Republican primary here in CT. There are 3 candidates for Senate--to run against Dickhead Blumenthal--and I will support any of them. But I saw that Trump had endorsed Leora Lewy, so I voted for her.

She won't win--the party endorsed candidate will--but I want them to know that they need to pay attention to Trump voters. (This is CT--they don't stand a chance of winning but they always pander to the libs--and lose).

"Kleefish has been a loyal soldier and a hardcore Trump supporter."

She's been a loyal soldier for the go-along-get-along GOPe, has piled up recommendations from the GOPe, has taken huge money from the GOPe, and swears to continue selling out to the Dems (just without calling it that).

Here's an idea for the GOPe: You can't win a war by betraying your own troops. Of course, for DoubleD, it's easy to blame the base for "shooting their own" by ignoring the fact that those ostensibly doing the shooting were betrayed first.

Please note the presence of emphasis in my comments without resorting to all caps. It can be done by those who know.

It’s hilarious that they had a “Toss Vos” event yesterday. Vos and Kleefish are getting what they deserve for being such loyal foot soldiers of Trump. But sadly they didn’t fling themselves on the grenade for Trump and now they are no longer in his good graces. I hope Steen wins against Vos tonight and Michels wins the Republican nomination for Governor. What fun!
