So Pelosi's trip went by uneventfully.

I guess her husband wasn't flying the plane.

Sigh! Another bad week for Donald Trump. A man who is already naked and afraid.

It was a remarkable day in the Alex Jones trial. After getting Jones to repeat claims he made under oath about not using email and never texting about Sandy Hook, Plaintiff’s lawyer Mark Bankston told Jones he knew he wasn’t telling the truth.

Do you know where I got this? Mr. Jones, did you know 12 days ago your attorneys messed up and sent me an entire digital copy of your entire cell phone, with every text message you’ve sent for the past two years? And when informed, did not take any steps to identify it as privileged, or protected in any way? And as of two days ago, it fell free and clear into my possession. And that is how I know you lied to me when you said you didn’t have text messages about Sandy Hook. Did you know that?

But at a break, one of the plaintiff’s lawyers suggested they were going to share the phone with prosecutors.

"You know what nobody’s thought about yet? What happens when that phone goes to law enforcement."

Obviously, given the timing, Jones’ exposure for January 6 would be the most obvious interest
(DOJ already has Owen Shroyer’s phone, but Jones would have direct contacts that Shroyer would not - Shroyer peddled a false story on Infowars that Neil Heslin didn't hold his dead child after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary and he accompanied Alex Jones to the Capitol on January 6).

The violent eruption of Tonga's Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano injected an unprecedented amount of water directly into the stratosphere — and the vapor will stay there for years, likely affecting the Earth's climate patterns, NASA scientists say.

And Biden's new monstrous Climate Control legislation will spend billions on energy-sucking air conditioning to offset this additional load of humidity. New energy will fall well short of needs because the only additions are ultra-expensive, absolutely unreliable and petroleum-dependent offshore wind farms, which will chop water birds into little pieces. Yes indeed, communistic environmentalists are all for protecting snail-darters no one can see but "to hell" with birds when the wind blows.

Looks like goldenrod is starting to appear there. We are about a week away from that here near Philly.. To me, that’s always the first sign of fall even though it starts to appear in August. We have about 3 acres that I leave wild and this is when it starts to change from milkweed and thistle to goldenrod. One of the things we like about where we live is each season is well represented and defined.

I’ve always felt that each season should be 2 months long. If I were Superman I would speed up the Earth’s wobble to accomplish that. Alas I lack those powers.

So the Democrats permanently took refineries off line during the pandemic, and now they are releaseing a million barrels of oil a day that there is no capacity to refine, only until the mid-terms, of course, and this glut of crude that they have created in the US means that our "strategic reserve" is being exported at artificially low prices, to countries like China.

Are you a parody account now? Remember the days of the performance artists in the Althouse comment section? I liked those guys. It added a funhouse vibe trying to figure out who's serious and who isn't. Sometimes you aren't.

Nothing fishy about your own lawyer sending the other side your whole digital copy of your cell phone. Nope. Nothing fishy at all in this upside down world. WHEN do the people who spewed the Russian Collusion Hoax go on trial for spreading conspiracy theories?? When does Hillary go to prison for FUNDING the hoax?? I don't trust any of them.

Pelosi won't listen to Biden either. I guess her chips investments and the backsheesh from Taiwan for the huge "chips" bill she just ramrodded through are more important than the constitution's yammering about who makes foreign policy.

It has been revealed PA senate candidate John Fetterman (D-King of Weed) had been receiving an allowance from his parents well into his 40's. In addition, his sister gave housing for a mere $1.

Tweet from Tom Cotton: “Fetterman’s problem isn’t that he’s a lazy socialist who lived off his parents until he was *50.* His problem is he supports 100% of Biden’s policies that caused inflation & record high gas.”

The situation in the Ukraine is becoming a Neapolitan ice-cream battle line. By that I mean that the areas controlled by the two parties are not two opposing lines but are interleaved territorial strips. If we think of the Ukraine as a rectangle the present fighting is on the righthand side and the righthand side of the bottom of the rectangle. This is where the "Neapolitan ice cream" strips are. They are:
1. at the top right, the area around Kharkhiv controlled by the Ukraine
2. immediately below that the Luhansk oblast controlled by Russia
3. Immediately below that the Donetsk oblast contested between Russia and the Ukraine. This takes us to the bottom of the rectangle and around the corner.
4. Immediately to the left of Donetsk, starting at Mariopoul and running along the bottom of the rectangle is the Kherson Oblast which is controlled by Russia along the coast.
5. Immediately to the left of the Kherson oblast is the Mykolaiv oblast controlled by the Ukraine.
6. A thin line of territory belonging to the Ukraine runs along the northern-western top of the Kherson oblast. This line of Ukrainian territory parallels the line of the Dnipro river miles away to the south. The Russians in this strip of the Kherson oblast north of the Dnipro face the Ukrainians with the Dnipro River at their back and the Ukrainians have blown up the bridges across the Dnipro. Part of the Russian army might get trapped here by a Ukrainian counter-offensive. This is the key point at this time. The Ukrainians are coming down from the north on the furthest left strip of the Kherson oblast.

So the Russians have moved soldiers to the strip of the Kherson oblast immediately to the right of the Ukrainian counteroffensive and are counter-counter-offensing to the north to draw off the Ukrainians from the trapped Russian army near the Dnipro.
But this means soldiers were taken from the Luhansk strip so that the Ukraine can now counter-offense from the Kharkiv strip into the Luhansk strip against weakened forces there.
And Russian soldiers were taken from the Donetsk strip and sent to the Kherson strip and this will cause the Russian attack which was trying to finish the conquest of the Donetsk strip to waver. The Ukrainians might get the Donetsk strip back and then the recently conquered Luhansk strip would have Ukrainian strips (Kharkiv, Donetsk) on both sides and might be re-conquered.
So basically strips of territory controlled by Russia and the Ukraine are interleaved like Neapolitan ice-cream and the whole is in motion, battle fronts and offensives facing in every direction but yet centering on the fact of the Russians trapped north of the Dnipro. Perhaps we might even suppose Iran and China are trying to help by shouting insults and threats from the sidelines.

If Fetterman doesn't represent the modern day Commie-pinko party, no one will.

What's surprising is the Philadelphia Inquirer broke this story. They will endorse him regardless.

From the Journals of Jean Seberg was a good watch. It's not literally from the journals of Jean Seberg -- I don't know if those even exist -- it's actress Mary Beth Hurt playing Seberg and delivering the director's sharp and sophisticated comments about Seberg's life and career and the films of her time as if they were Seberg's own ideas.

Of course the filmmaker's views are heavily feminist (tinged with leftism and queer theory) -- film critics and academics are like that -- but his observations are insightful and provocative. If you like it, you like it. If you don't you don't. The film is less provocative than it was when it came out in 1995, and in another 30 years, we may have put current vogue for politically correctness behind us. Cross your fingers.

Being one who loves to wager on all events I am betting Jones gets nailed for 45 million (sued for $150 million) Info wars made 70 million last year and some days almost $800,000. He is a real jewel and has caused much mental anguish to suffering individuals. Of course, the $$$ is not the issue its accountability in a court, not for people's opinions, for his lying and knowingly false statements. Pay up MR FAKE NEWS! Just like all these wingnut lawyer hires)Guilianni,Powell, these guys here(lawyers) they scrape em from the bottom and get bottom feed in return.

We've had a week of very hot days, including two or three that-seemed-like-seven close to 100, but the night before last the temperature finally fell below 60 & early this morning it was 56 (it felt actually chilly). We're at barely 80 this afternoon: it does feel like Autumn is upon us, as someone earlier wrote. I've missed a couple of days here and so perhaps I'm repeating what someone else has already mentioned, but the Anglo-Saxons considered Lammas Day, the Kalends of August, to mark the beginning of the new season (although each of those assertions is in fact qualified depending upon which source where and in which century one is looking at).

Somehow Gadfly is more concerned about punishing Alex Jones than dealing with the compromised/beholden Biden Family inc and all Jabmentia's puppeteers deep sixing the entire country.
Why is that?
I blame all the LNP's settling in his brain.

Dinky,
Do you think the Dem dominated "real journalism" MSM should be held to account for causing "much mental anguish to suffering individuals."
They are completely covering up medical tyranny of covid malpractice.

Well looks like I cashed my wager, (see above) Jones get 45m to pay on top of compensation. For the folks here loving Alex sorry for your loss. (not) It's always "look over here" when drifting from the issue. How about that reporting doesn't seem to have anything to do with COVID you know "look over here" Butt hurt cause had to wear a mask, how juvenile is that? Jones is a bottom feeder who gets court adjudicated penalty. Two more cases to face. Mic drops for this low life. Pray hard for his restoration. Jury smart enough to not go overboard for appeal purposes. FAKE NEWSER takes the hit. Victor Orbon at CPAC how far they have fallen. The Father of Amnesty Ronald Reagan must be flipping in his box.
