Said President Biden, quoted in "President Biden on Student Loan Forgiveness Transcript" (REV).
August 26, 2022
"And drove down to Newark, Delaware where my dad worked at an automobile agency. And I walked in and I had my spikes."
"And because the reason I was going down, when your dad works at an automobile agency, the great advantage you get a new car to go to the prom or a good used car. You think I’m joking. I’m not joking. And so I went down to my 51 Plymouth with beach towels for seat covers. And I had my uniform on, my spikes off. I ran in and the woman’s name was Mary, who ran the place. I said, 'Mary, where’s dad?' She said, 'He’s out in the lane going into the repair shop.' I’ll give you my word, true story. And my dad was a well dressed, refined fella. And I walked out and my dad was pacing back and forth between the big garage door, going into the repair shop and the door going out of the showroom. And I looked up, he said, 'Oh, Joey. Honey, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.' I thought God, something happened. This is before cell phones. So I thought something happened to one of my brothers or my sister or my mom or something. I said, 'What’s the matter, dad?' He said... 'I went to Charlie and asked to borrow the money.' He said, 'He won’t lend it to me.' He said, 'I’m so ashamed. I’m so damn ashamed.'"

Find me three people in America who believe a work Joe Biden says. Go ahead. I'll wait.
"word"
"... and I wearing an onion on my belt because that was the fashion at the time....."
So, shorter version of President Shit for Brains story- "My Dad was a deadbeat, and everyone knew it, including Charlie."
Whose Charlie?
And I thought Joe had a football scholarship to college. Or something.
Biden is such a liar. And a senile one at that.
Putin and Xi get regular reports on our senile Commander-in-Chief.
Did he talk about tying an onion to his belt, because it was the style at the time?
Joe Biden on why, as an adult, he taught his kids how to scam millions using the cover of US office holder. Grifting: the true sport of the American Nobility.
Joe should be ashamed....of HIMSELF. Showering with his daughter?? Crackhead, whore mongering son?? Great leadership. This man makes me sick to my stomach.
So because Joey couldn’t get a car for prom and that shamed his dad; everybody earning a paycheck in American and paying taxes has to forgive loans taken by grad school students? News for you Joey, you have brought even more shame to your family.
When the president tells a story should you feel like you are being told a story by a toddler? What's with the extraneous details?
PPP loan forgiveness is cool, student loan forgiveness is destroying the economy.
You left out the part about Joe getting into "one of the little ivies." Does anybody believe that? I think he just meant a private college somewhere out of state.
The anecdote rouses and plays on our fully justified and evidence-based feeling that college is too expensive, and conceals the fact that Biden's plan does nothing to control or contain or lessen the cost. I don't know if that was Joe's conscious intent, though. He just likes to talk about the old days, whether what he says actually happened or not. Short-term memory goes first. Stuff about the old days lingers a while.
C'mon man! That's no malarkey!
In Joe's new and improved world, not only did Dad get the loan, he didn't have to pay it back!
Another cringeworthy tall tale from Brandon of Inflationville. What a maroon.
Can you imagine JFK saying that?
"I’m so damn ashamed.'"
Therefore, I have to pay off my neighbor's loan. Prog logic.
I'm so damn pissed.
But as Biden's yarn shows, for progs the fringe benefit of the debt cancellation is the FU symbolism of it: in your face, America, we'll lie, and we'll abuse authority, and we'll give gifts to people we like, and we'll raise inflation, and we'll do anything we damn well please, and what are you going to do about it?
"Joe Biden on why, as an adult, he taught his kids how to scam millions using the cover of US office holder. Grifting: the true sport of the American Nobility."
Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the Trumps do it?
Off leash he's hilarious.
WTF? is he even saying?
The loyalist left will find meaning in there somewhere.
I knew it was a lie as soon as he said, "I’ll give you my word, true story"
Someone should have asked him, is this true like your truck driving experience, or graduating at the top of your class at Syracuse law school, etc.?
You think I’m joking. I’m not joking.=Everything I'm about to say is lie, including 'and' and 'the'.
That sounds like a bullshit story if I ever heard one.
Biden is 80 years old. He was a Senator/VP for 50 years. He's been a well-to-do man with a beach house for 50 years. He went to Elite college and law school, then spent a few years as a low level pol before becoming a US senator.
His family was well-to-do, except for a brief time. Yet Biden constantly talks about the 50s and 60s like it happened yesterday. And he was somehow poor and downtrodden.
He has trouble separating reality from fact. In the past, he's claimed to have: "marched with MLK", been the first in his family to go to College, been poor, graduated in the top 10 percent of his law school class, and been offered a NFL scholarship! All these are untrue.
Whenever I hear our President explain why he did something, I want to take a shower.
-h/t Miss Manners (also my favorite advice columnist, despite them not being the original "Miss M").
Joe Biden knows that his supporters are just really stupid people.
He knows he can make up obvious bullshit stories and his useful idiots will still support him.

I'll take doddering over the laughing hyena.
Hang in there, Joe!
A lot of Joe Biden's personality seems to have developed as a response to shame.
It's something he seems to have passed on to his children.
Joey should probably skip the stories. I couldn't help wondering why he didn't take a shower after the baseball game or at least change his shoes.
I heard this live as I was driving home. It was obvious that he had completely lost his train of thought and went to the place where I have seen so many with dementia go.

I don't know a single Trump supporter who would say that "grifting is good when the Trumps do it."
So what we have here is Cook shadowboxing again.
What the heck are "spikes"? Was he wearing high heels? A mohawk? I went through ROTC, but it was in the US, not the Kaiser's military.
And he’d always say, “Joey, you’re going to be a college man.” And I’d say, “Dad, but what does that matter? I mean, you can still get fired if you’re a college man.” He says, “Yeah, but they can never take it away from you. They can never take your education away.”
That's the self-fulfilling prophecy? If you decided to skip college, take a trade, and work for a living, then the "college man" can come in and take you money away, but you can't take away his education. Joey should have listened to himself, and not his father that bankers knew couldn't be trusted with another loan.
My dad went to college around this same time. His father divorced my grandmother, who also couldn't afford college. My father worked his way to college, and he hitch-hiked to get there, because he didn't have a car. Hey Joey, sell the car or use it as collateral to get a loan. Don't steal from others to get what you want.
Among many other reasons, including government spending and involvement, that colleges are too damn expensive is because parents just send their kids there, "because education". Their kids don't want to be there, don't know what to do there, and don't succeed there, because they are not ready to be there. Yet, they are sent anyway, to fill up enrollment, and make a finite resource even more limited. Joey's father should have taught him to work for things in life, not take it from others. That way, he would have appreciated college when he got there, but more importantly, Joey wouldn't learn envy and stealing from others to have for yourself what they earned.
"Whose Charlie?"
The bank's Charlie.
"He said, “I went to see –” the guy’s name was Charlie, who was a vice president of the Farmer’s Bank, which was the state owned bank that did a lot of the financing of people wanting to purchase a car."
You know Charlie. His name was Charlie. Down at the bank, Charlie. Guy's name was Charlie. You think I'm lying? It's no joke. Guy's name was Charlie, I'm telling you.
Robert Cook -
Biden grifted massive amounts of money to his unqualified to-be-a-dog-caqtcher drug and sex addicted son - in secret selling influence while he was VP. Without mentioning any other politician - tell us about how that is OK with you.
I love the transcript. It's like a play. About a dumb old guy. Keeps talking. Boring the pants off everyone. You know the guy. A guy like that. You feel you know him. Just a guy. An old guy. A dumb guy. But a guy. I could go on like this all day I tell you. But the crazy thing is, the guy becomes President. The old guy. The dumb old guy. Becomes President. President of the United States. And he walks up to a microphone, and he talks like this. The guy. You know the guy!
Is “automobile agency” euphemism for “car dealer?”
Hi, Meade.
One of the skills that I imagine I have is the ability hear someone talk, or read the person's prose, and to make judgments about their intelligence and honesty. I'm not always right, of course. Joe Biden's word choices and meandering narrative style come across as low normal intelligent. His tendency to repeatedly ask his listeners to believe him is a tell that he is trying to deceive.
historical moments this makes me remember:
'You must think I'm Charlie the Tuna' - Bill Parcells (1997)
I'm that old. But I'm not THAT old. Not "the Ford Agency" old. Neither is Joe.
Next we'll be hearing about that fracture he got from cranking his Mom's flivver.
The MSM called out DJT every time he boasted a story to make America great again.
This Mr. Magoo character all we hear are crickets.

I should just ignore your snarky bullshit but I'm on the board of an entity that received PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans. The loan program was written from the start to be forgivable if certain conditions were met. The entity receiving the loan had to show their normal operations were disrupted due to COVID (Our RR museum, employing 5 office and custodial staff, was closed for several months due to COVID lockdowns). The amount requested had to be related to your normal payroll pre-COVID. In order to be forgiven, you had to show that you maintained that payroll for several months during the COVID lock downs, otherwise the money had to be paid back just like any other loan.
There is absolutely no comparison between the PPP forgivable loans and Biden's unilateral discharge of upwards of one trillion dollars in student loan debt, and anybody bringing PPP up is just fling poo because they have no reasonable argument why Biden is doing this other than blatantly attempting to buy votes the Democrats desperately need in November.
“Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the Trumps do it?”
Apparently so if one goes by the comments here in these threads.
Can you imagine having a "Total Stranger" conversation with Joe Biden?
What fun!
The fact that the White House is officially tweeting about various republicans whose businesses received PPP Loan forgiveness is hilarious:
- PPP: A loan approved by congress MEANT TO BE FORGIVEN FROM THE START in exchange for the federal government shutting down that business.
- Student loans: A loan entered into by a (almost entirely) young adult, subsidized by the government, meant to be repaid in full regardless of bankruptcy over a period of many years in exchange for a college education.
This whole thing is becoming comically bad for democrats because they are literally parading clownish ideas as justifications - while their entire base is eating it up and looking like idiots. And in support of something that marginally benefits mostly the well off.
Loosely based on a true story. Or maybe Snopes-level satire.
Until the early 90's, a person could pay their own way through school by working summers and after class. Borrowing money for college was not a usual thing during the time period when Joe's dad was humiliated by being turned down for a loan (a loan for what? We're left to presume Joe's tuition, but a scan of the transcript doesn't make that clear).
Even without the annoying repetition of "I'm not lying, really, it's the truth!" it'd be obvious he's making it up as he goes along.
Robert Cook said...Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the Trumps do it?
Trump lost money by becoming president. His life would have been far easier and more comfortable if he'd stayed a private citizen.

Robert Cook comes in with his usual 80 IQ rejoinder.
There is no evidence anywhere the Trump's did it. They are making things up, ignoring the Presidential Records Act, and ignoring several previous court decisions a to raid and indict Trump.
If they had anything even remotely resembling the corruption they have mountains of evidence for on Hunter Biden Trump would have been in jail by now.
But you stupidly come in here and pretend you made a point with no support other than your dumb opinions.
You are being boring and dumb and repetitive.
I sold cars for one short cruel summer, Pontiacs, in the age of the Fiero. And I've known many a car dealer and salesperson over the years. No dealer ever lent new or used cars to the teenage sons of their sales staff: none. Doesn't happen. Dealers, that is the OWNER of the dealership, will often put dealer plates on nice cars for their spouse and family members, but no one is dumb enough to do this for the teenage sons of Joseph R Biden Sr.
But there is a familiar pattern running through Joe's fantasy life as told to us and his real life. In his fantasy his old man lent him Cadillacs to cruise the Dover mean streets; in reality he was driving the Corvette his girlfriend let him drive, cruising around town and pissing off her actual husband who ran the local bar and bought her the Corvette so she would stop cheating on him. Joe assumed ownership of both when he married the skank. That was fake doctor Jill's car before it was Joe's "prized possession" (and it is till not an electric vehicle like he keeps pushing on the rest of us).
“And I remember my senior year, I got into one of the little Ivy’s and I got into a number of schools.”
Since we know Joe Biden went to the University of Delaware, the upshot of his story is that he didn’t get to go to the Little Ivy school he got into because his family didn’t have the money and wasn’t able to borrow it. If he had, Donald Trump might still be President today. Something to think about.
Ann, are you removing Meade's comments? Trouble in blog paradise?
Concerning Biden, he established himself as a liar long before he started to lose his mind. Now when he rambles on I can't imagine how anyone takes him seriously. And even if his story is true, how does that serve as an analogy to what he is proposing?
I have a car not fully paid for. I bought it from a friend, who I pay every month. Can I have the government pay that off? I have some credit card debt I'm still working on. It's not my fault they took advantage of me. Could I get a little help here? And yes, I have student loans. Mine are well above 10,000. It never dawned on me that I wasn't responsible for them. But why should the government stop at 10,000? Why not just wipe them all out entirely, so we can all have a clean slate? We can always print more money.
That this old decrepit buffoon is responsible for our country's finances is such a tragic joke upon a once great Republic.
Meade said...

Joe Biden has no frame of reference. He has been a career puppet politician for decades.
He has never had to buy his own car.
That shows when he makes up these stories. They are so obviously fake only complete idiots would believe them or even pretend they are real.
To answer your question Cook: This isn’t about Trump. But Yes- Biden is legions worse than Trump, far more corrupt. Which is why it’s so unceasingly nauseating to watch people- and entire industries- cover for him.
"Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the xxxxx Clintons do it?"
Fixed it for you Cookie
I wonder if Mary at the auto place, did she go to college. Probably not. Charlie probably did. So Charlie, the meanie at the Bank who wouldn't lend Joe's Dad money, he gets any student loans he might have forgiven. Not Mary though, she was probably a good citizen, obeyed the laws, paid her taxes and all that, but f*ck her, she didn't go to college, she gets nothing. And not Dad, who probably didn't go to college either and can't get anyone to float him a loan, well not anyone at the Bank at least.
I don't think this story does what this garrulous old man thinks it does.
Dave Begley said...
Whose Charlie?

Oh great, Joe! And it's certain that the student loan recipients of taxpayer largesse are ashamed of their debt and will surrender their spikes. Good lord!
And lets not forget the value to society of those degrees in Womens' Studies and How the South Won the Civil War Because the Country Was Built On the Backs of Black Slaves.

Nancy Pelosi's husband sure thinks so. He got millions forgiven, AND he got millions from insider trading that is illegal for US little peons. (plus he got a slap on the wrist for driving drunk and injuring an illegal alien that probably got a nice little payout from the MRS to shut up)
"Hi, Meade."
Wait. Is this one of those things, like where I'm on the couch and my wife's in the office, and she texts me "Where's the dog?" Domestic intimacy via internet.

Where is that money? If it's hidden - Biden didn't pay his fair share of taxes on it.
The loyalist left do not care!
If Joe Biden's father lacked money, then why didn't he just go get a job on the Board of Directors of a Ukrainian natural-gas company?
"Howard said...

You do know that those taking out PPP loans were required to use it to pay their employees (that otherwise would be out of work) because the government was taking away their ability to run their business.
You may not know, as your aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, but even if you do, I don' think you would care.
That was the latest instance of Authentic Presidential Gibberish
Ampersand notes that Slow Joe's speech pattern "comes across as low normal intelligent". There's a reason why Joe Biden was known as the "dumbest man in the Senate" for most of his career.
I've been listening to Miranda Devine's "Laptop From Hell" as an audiobook. I can only stand about half an hour of it at a time. Hunter Biden's voice (from the e-mails on his laptop) show a whiney, self serving, vicious, arrogant, thoroughly nasty person.
Aside from his failure as a President, Joe Biden is a colossal failure as a father.
"I give you my word, true story."
This is always Joe's tell that whatever he's saying is bullshit.
He went to Elite college
The elite University of Delaware, tied at #93 with SUNY Buffalo and SUNY Stony Brook in the latest US News rankings.
Biden’s family history is complex as detailed in a recent podcast:
“President Joe Biden’s political talents are inseparable from his folksy persona. In speeches, he emphasizes his modest upbringing and quotes aphorisms from his car-salesman father about dignity and honest labor. But this rendition of Biden’s upbringing, as Adam Entous puts it in this week’s magazine, is ‘woefully incomplete.’ Entous has done a deep and groundbreaking investigation into the President’s family history, uncovering a previously untold rags-to-riches-to-rags story of how the Bidens landed in Scranton. It’s a very different story from the one that Biden usually shares with the public, complete with mansions, yachts, and war profiteering. Entous joins Tyler Foggatt to discuss the Biden family’s finances, its history with addiction and scandal, and its influence on the President.”
Another load of BS from our appointed and chief.

Hi, darling Mrs. Meade. Dontcha just hate the capitalist system. Hope you’re having a nice profitable day!
Makes a total sense that his dad was a used car dealer who stiffed his creditors, the Biden clan seems to breed pretty true, like morgan horses.
I think Ron Klain's student debt forgiveness plan is a wonderful low cost purchase of votes this November. The Dems don't spend a dime of their own money on it. The most important part of the plan isn't that $10k buy-a-vote-for-November part, which may well be struck down in court next year.
The most important part is the elimination of interest payments from student loans, which might very well fly in court. That's not just buying votes for this election, it is an incentive to vote for the guy leaving money in your pocket for years to come. Make that retroactive for all current loan recipients, and you're talking a real vote-buying bonanza.
What was it LBJ said about the Civil Rights Act, keeping a group of voters Democratic for 200 years? Candy is dandy, and liquor is quicker, yet cash works even slicker.
"You think I’m joking. I’m not joking. "
I grew up in New Jersey. That language is the tell.
when Jo Biden says... I’ll give you my word, true story.
Is there ANYONE? ANYWHERE? that believes a word of what comes next?
That is quite a transcript. But I do have a few questions.
1. Can anyone identify a reason why the cost of college has risen so dramatically? After all, 90%+ of the college world is controlled by Democrats.
2. If Joe's Dad couldn't get the loan to get him into college, does this mean Joe didn't go to college? Because if he did go to college, doesn't that mean his story is malarkey?
3. Accusations of racism are so common that they have become meaningless, but isn't it kind of racist to assume that Black and Hispanic borrowers don’t own their homes? I'm sure someone will call him out for that.
4. Who was the last President to use the word "jalopy," FDR?
5. Is the key to the program - the part where it's paid for and reduces the deficit - that extra day Biden is allowing before ending the repayment pause? Seems like a big deal to me!
6. Who are the "independent experts" who believe this plan won't have an impact on inflation? They must be banking on a really bad recession.
Haha. Cute Meade!!
Are Mom and Dad fighting? I can't tell, but Imma go to my room and play loud music.

Not only did Biden get a football scholarship, also an academic scholarship. Wait, I forgot the Naval Academy appointment.
Am I the only one who remembers how Joe Biden's Wikipedia page was wiped clean of his ancestors prior to running for vice president. Originally there were links to his "robber baron" family.
“Makes a total sense that his dad was a used car dealer who stiffed his creditors, the Biden clan seems to breed pretty true, like morgan horses.”
How many contractors and lawyers has Trump stiffed?
So then Joe went to Corn Pop for the money and that's how he began his life of crime.
Wow, this story makes me puke. So I guess that Charlie would not give the old man a new loan to keep his dealership afloat for another quarter? So that means that people who took out school loans and don't want to pay them back get a write off?
So next we are going to write off the loans people took out to start businesses that failed? Oh, they can go bankrupt... so let the graduates who can't pay back the loans go bankrupt too. And then cancel their transcripts and professional licenses, because they are valueless if they can't get a decent job with them.
Then Make the University involved cover the loss, as they were the one that benefited from the student's purchase of tuition and housing.
But time to eat lunch!
Try the steamed capitalism.

How many contractors and lawyers has Trump stiffed?
Why don't you tell us sweetie? Better yet, point out the cases Trump lost when he refused to fully pay or "stiffed" contractors and lawyers (who are ALWAYS above reproach in their billing).
BTW, grifting in the sense we are talking about has nothing to do with Cookie's (hate the rich) arguments. It is using political office to enrich your self and your family at the expense of the taxpayer. You know, the stuff that the Bidens, Clintons, Pelosis and others have been doing for decade after decade.
"How many contractors and lawyers has Trump stiffed?"
I don't know? Do you? I used to see statements like this quite regularly, always with the assumption that the number is greater than zero, and the stffee's didn't deserve stiffing. But I've yet to see someone citing cases where the wronged party won a judgement against Trump.
Anyway. As noted above, Trump's not the subject of this post.
What happens if he gets so demented he starts telling the truth?
OK, I was going to point out Biden receiving nearly a million dollars for "sort of teaching" at the U. of Penn after his VP years. After 20 years in higher ed, I know there are far better ways to spend the money - IF education and students your priority. Those who take that kind of money but lectures others on college is too expensive are particularly annoying.
But in the article I found it told of Biden teaching as an adjunct at a law school (Widener - U. of Del) in Wilmington Delaware for over 20 years. How does someone teach constitutional law (as is claimed) and ignore it when he governs? First time I heard of that gig.
I was skeptical of the story until he mentioned that he had his spikes. Now I know it's not any kind of fabrication.
Sharp as a marble, that one.

Remember when Joe Biden’s mob connections called a one day wildcat strike among newspaper delivery unions the day that Biden’s opponent for Biden’s first Senate seat ran an insert detailing Biden’s shady past and corruption the weekend before the election?
Nancy Pelosi’s dad was also a politician who was in the constant company of Baltimore mob figures, per Snopes. It’s like that speech Michael gives in The Godfather, where he says that one day they will be Senators and Congressmen.
There is a guy on the PA Supreme Court whose brother is a mobbed up union guy involved in ballot stuffing in PA per the DoJ.
They took control with the help of easily manipulated people, and now they have dragged us to the brink of WW3 over corrupt billions slopping around in Ukraine.
BTW, after watching “William Colby” on Netflix, I may have sold Godfather 3 short, we spent billions there controlling elections, funneled through the Vatican.
Any mention of where Biden gets the authority to do this? Any at all?
>>Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the Trumps do it?
Trump isn't a grifter. He made billions in NYC real estate. Several of his project failed and went bankrupt.
Hillary, in contrast, at one point owed $30,000+ on her $1,000 investment in "cattle futures". She never had to cover that loss.
That's grifting. See the difference?
Everybody in Joe's family is a millionaire. Hunter, Howard (his son in law), his brother James and brother Frank, and his sister Valerie. They all got very rich while Joe was a senator or VP.
All of them.
That's grifting. See the difference?
C'mon, Cookie. Trump is an egomaniac and a blowhard, but he's not a grifter.
Every family has their own thing, but if my Father had called my 18 year-old self "Honey" in front of a shop full of auto mechanics, a small piece of my soul would have died right there.
The one trope missing from the Biden spiel is the curious, self-referential, “I give you my word as a Biden.” That cracks me up every time he says it.
OMG! I suppose you could run around Delaware and Scranton and find people that heard the Old Man say it. You know, things like, “ Oh yeah. That was a joke we used to throw around. Biden’s old man was so full of malarkey that everyone knew he was a liar of the first order. So we used to ask him if he was giving his word as a Biden, and he’d say yes, everyone in Sligo or wherever they came from knew how honorable the Bidens were, and then we’d say well, what happened when you came over here you damned deadbeat! Joey is just as full of it as his dad.”
Someone needs to do some research on the ground.
Remember the Biden family sitting around the family table worrying about gas prices? Gas prices were never very high when Joe was growing up, and I don't think they rose precipitously. Maybe Joe's dad had trouble with the bank at some point, but I doubt what happened was exactly as he tells it here.
I didn't know anything about the "boxes of food" that people got from the government and that Biden's mentions in the speech, so I looked it up. The Trump administration authorized the distribution of boxes of food to families affected by COVID. The Biden administration cancelled the program. That was probably the right thing to do when the pandemic panic ended and people went back to work, but the facts don't jibe with the image of uncaring Republicans and poor people saved by Biden that Joe wants to create.
It's like the cost of insulin. Trump imposed controls on the price. Biden did away with them. Now he's campaigning on bringing the price cap back, even though the Democrats have been in control of Congress the last two years. They wanted to load the bill with all kinds of other matters, so it didn't past, but it gives them an issue to campaign on.
I read the David Dalton piece first, and then down to Biden's dad trying to borrow money from "Charlie", and suddenly it all made sense. The Bidens being an East Coast branch of the Manson family explains a whole lot.

This is a warning label, and a disclaimer.

Socialism promises equity but delivers equal misery for most, a few bennies for the apparatchiks, comfort and ease for the nomenklatura, and justified paranoia for anyone who dares to vary from the party line.
You might consider leaving the crayons alone.

“Hmmm...so grifting is bad when the Bidens do it, but good when the Trumps do it?”
You are a lyin' dog faced pony soldier. And, I can do more pushups than you.

"How many contractors and lawyers has Trump stiffed?"
Democrats don't understand the difference between business conflicts in the private sector and breaches of the public trust by electeds and bureaucrats.
Among the reasons for that is that prominent Democrats are mostly career politicians who became millionaires by grifting so they see it as a feature, not a bug. Republicans not so much. Trump not at all.
"I give you my word, true story."
Translation: what follows is truly a story. Doesn't mean it's true, just that it is a story. That it is a story, is true.
That the story itself is true is unstated, and unlikely in Joe's make-it-up-as-you-go world, even more so now that his always limited faculties are failing him in the sunset of his tawdry life.
"Not a joke, man." I'm surprised he left that one out.
Storytime with FJB.

PPP loan forgiveness is cool, student loan forgiveness is destroying the economy.

Semper Fudd!
The New Yorker article on Biden's father explains much. Biden Sr. never forgot his days as a polo playing, fox hunting, yachtsman, and apparently Joe hasn't either. He plays "middle class Joe" for us, but in his own mind he assumes he is made of finer stuff and entitled to more than that.

He didn't.
And..if you don't appreciate his story telling, you ain't thespian.
Spiked shoes = cleats. His story is he was still wearing football gear.
Also, dropping a Covid restriction hammer on commerce might explain (a tiny bit) the rationale for enabling a one time PPP grift.
How do you do the student loan forgiveness..once?
Joe Biden, Sr., was able to send his children to private (Catholic) schools. Joe, Jr. attended Archmere Academy, where he was a "poor student," according to Wikipedia. It's unlikely he was admitted to a "little Ivy." At the University of Delaware, he was an "unexceptional student."
Biden is living out Fudd’s Law: if you push on anything hard enough, it will fall over. In Biden’s case, he is pushing on the United States of America, its full faith and credit, and its constitution. President Obama: “Never underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up.”
Actually, Joe is saying he was wearing his baseball uniform.
We should be glad that, unlike his son Hunter, he has not recently talked about his huge penis—although when he gets around to it, he may well drop his trousers to show us.
I’ll have those college students voting Democratic for the next 200 years.

Actually, it does. It does a better job than any other economic system that has existed. More importantly Capitalism has produced the highest standard of living worldwide, at a time when there are more humans than ever. Then why do we still have poor people? Because poverty is a relative term. Saying you want to eliminate poverty is as dumb as saying you want everyone to be above average. The US government redefines poverty every year to account for the rise in income. We can never win the fight against poverty because we continuously, literally, move the goal posts.
