Biden had BA5 which is more virulent than the other Omicron variants. Delta, which was the predominant variant from last summer reportedly was the most virulent. The Covid vaccine actually was more effective against Delta.

Per usual, the definition of a vaccine has been changed to support the narrative.
I think the COVID shots are generally beneficial for those that need them, but they are oversold. First, they are not vaccines. Vaccines prevent disease. The shots usually provide some protection, but you can still get sick. Second, they have been obsessed upon such as demanding that everyone get them, when only certain groups should be getting them, and they have been used as a cudgel to block all other forms of treatment, many of which have been highly effective when properly used. Third, these vaccines are for the original strain of the thing, so they are not going to be nearly as effective at what we have now.
But then again this is Biden, a man who was always an idiot and a bully, and now is senile.

As is well known, the evolutionary cycle of respiratory viruses is that variants become more contagious and less deadly over time. Joe caught COVID that was later in the cycle and therefore less deadly. He is a beneficiary of viral evolution.

First of all, when Trump got Covid, it was still COVID. It was killing people. Biden's covid is more annoying than dangerous, and I'm not sure if it's Biden that's annoying or hearing about the virus, but...
On the last week of the campaign before the election, Trump was jetting across the country all day and night, doing multiple campaign rallies in far away states before tens of thousands and thousands more who could not get in, millions more on TV. Doing 3+ hours at each event without the teleprompter, driving home the point that his voters were more enthusiastically engaged by far, his work had not been dismissed by the nation, and that millions were hoping for more.
Biden was put in his basement on that last week, not doing any campaigning, offering a few staged, scripted murmurs some mornings before his caregivers put a 'lid' on his appearances, typically before 10am, lest he say something from his own mind. The week prior, 50 or so people showed up for one of his final 'rallies', showing the world just how enthusiastically the Democrats felt about their candidate.
Yeah. I still wonder about those election sites shutting down around 11pm that night. I still can't shake the feeling that this entire thing was scripted, right down to the final totals. Sorry. I got off track.

The trip to Walter Reed was an overreaction (or, maybe, an attempt to derail his campaign by less than loyal medical staff), but an understandable one given how much more deadly the alpha strain was versus those of today.
