Jimmy said...: Just read that Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura from the original, and best, Star Trek has passed away, age 89. She was great in her role, and I think very much under used on the series.
Favorite episode will always be the indroduction of the evil star trek crew. Spock and Uhura were fantastic as the evil ones.

I am truly concerned that this administration will get us into a nuclear war out of blind stupidity.

Xi has so many financial problems, why give him the perfect out via a war? He would love the distraction and unity of a war.

It is disgusting that we would cede them Taiwan for nothing, which is what avoiding this showdown would strongly suggest. It is disgusting that we have done nothing regarding the biological warfare that may have been at work through the virus.

But even with such considerations, and the likelihood that all the CCP threats are just bluster and bluff -- my own personal dudgeon is fading against the realization that it could well be the better part of valor not to give Xi something he seems to need very badly first.
