"One complication in this case has been the chaotic jumble of rich and famous people who moved in and out of [Jeffrey] Epstein’s orbit."

"The names thrown about over the years have driven a frenzy of media interest but led to no clear evidence of wrongdoing.... Leland Nally, a writer and film-maker who painstakingly called all 1,500 people in Maxwell and Epstein’s little black book of contacts for an article that appeared in Mother Jones magazine in 2020, warns against jumping to conclusions based on whose name was jotted down. Epstein was obsessive. 'He absolutely was a social-ladder-climber and a collector of these people, so I think he was very quick to put people in this black book,' he says. That said, it is surprising that those who were around Epstein with any frequency did not have at least an inkling of what he and Maxwell were doing. 'I think it’s impossible for many of the people who were close with them throughout the years to have no idea of what was going on,' Nally says.... When [Virginia] Giuffre, now 38, asked Epstein why [Bill] Clinton spent time with him, she claims he laughed and told her: 'Let’s just say he owes me favours.' Epstein cultivated this image, Nally says: 'He enjoyed being seen as a sort of supervillain wacky billionaire.'"

Assumes a fact not in evidence.

"'He enjoyed being seen as a sort of supervillain wacky billionaire.'"

Forget the girls. How exactly did he get so supposedly rich?

"Now what about the men?"

Right. If grooming gets 20, using gets--what?

Didn’t a juror in her trial fail to reveal during the jury-selection process that he/she had been sexually abused? If so, won’t the appellate court award her a new trial?

And now we see the application of Layer #x to the rehabilitation of Epstein, and his collaborators and benefactors. Shall we review the circumstances of Epstein's death, in which all but perhaps one of the perpetrators are known and in positions of accountability, and yet....? What about the stolen computers and CD's? What about the secret plea deal with Florida prosecutors? What about.... (rambles on for 10 minutes).

Puhleeze. Ghislane Maxwell, the first person ever to be convicted of trafficking young girls to Nobody. May she rest in peace in advance, because, you know.....loose ends and all.

You mean, for the little girls that he gave to Billy Jeff?
Isn't It GREAT? That our Democrat leaders are perverted sex offenders?
You Know? The Sort that showered with their daughters, and (according to THEIR DAUGHTERS) turned their daughters into slutty sex slaves?
YEA! DEMOCRATS!! They're Pro Child Murder.. So, IT'S ALL COOL!
“I would be happy to give him a blowjob just to thank him for keeping abortion legal. I think American women should be lining up with their Presidential kneepads on to show their gratitude for keeping the theocracy off our backs.”

Among those obliquely accused conspirators, only Donald Trump has offered a vigorous and supportable defense. Yes, BE was a member of Trump's country club. Yes, he did admiringly comment on BE's pretty young girlfriends, but Trump also bounced Epstein from that club when he found out just how young those pretty girlfriends were. Perhaps that flailing "Select Committee" could subpoena the club's membership records. Perhaps it might raise the public interest factor from tepid to lukewarm, but Lizard and Company aren't in the exonerate Trump business.

Willie Clinton's not talking, the thrill of all those feminist blowjobs having faded only slightly.

Alan Dershowitz has been directly accused. His defense has been to attack with a blizzard of lawsuits and petitions to disbar the lawyers associated with Virginia Giuffre. As for Randy Andy, he's grateful to be the Duke of York and beyond the reach of the law like his great-uncle Eddy. A little noblesse oblige goes a long way.

When the dust settles all the pending cases will be settled out of court for undisclosed sums and considerations. Everyone will shut up. Virginia Giuffre will spin around in her high-backed chair in the corner office of the Victims Refuse Silence foundation. Nothing will come of this horror story. Giuffre has become filthy rich herself by shouting accusations and then suppressing the evidence. Will her foundation re-incorporate as Victims Refuse Silence Until Paid? Probably not.

Just in case people forgot (or, have their eyes wind shut)...
In 2005, police in Palm Beach, Florida, began investigating Epstein after a parent reported that he had sexually abused her 14-year-old daughter. Epstein pleaded guilty and was convicted in 2008 by a Florida state court of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute. He served almost 13 months in custody, but with extensive work release.
He was convicted of only these two crimes as part of a controversial plea deal; federal officials had identified 36 girls, some as young as 14 years old, whom Epstein had allegedly sexually abused.

Epstein also stated to some people at the time that he was an intelligence agent.
In 2017 "a former senior White House official" reported that Alexander Acosta, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida who had handled Epstein's criminal case in 2008, had stated to Trump transition interviewers, that "I was told Epstein 'belonged to intelligence' and to 'leave it alone'", and that Epstein was "above his pay grade".

Here's a funny story:

NBC built Matt Lauer a rape room. He had a button under his desk so that he could push it and that would lock the door, preventing anyone from coming in ... or anyone from going out.

He would trap the girls in the room and rape them, according to journalist Ronan Farrow. He raped another employee at the Socchi Olympics and was finally fired when that news got out. NBC was sued by his victims and paid out hundreds of millions of dollars in confidential settlements. (You get the money, but you have to then keep quiet.)

Matt Lauer is walking the streets a free man today. He's never served a single day in jail.

And you really think Bill Clinton is going to do some time? You think they're going to put Bill Gates behind bars?

The men never pay a price. Especially men who have this kind of money. You just have to accept that we live in a completely corrupt and fraudulent society and move on with your day. Because no, you're never going to see her list (they'll kill her if she releases it) and the men who raped these kids will continue on.

Oh ... wait ... you didn't think they only had ONE pimp do you? They have dozens of pimps to choose from. All these men ... they're still out there doing it. Just with a different pimp.

The Clinton - Lewinsky blowjob affair, showed us liberal Democrats really don’t care where men put their penises as long as they support abortion on demand. We know what went on at the Island. Watching Maxwell get sent up the river, and none of the rich and powerful clients who took part in its hedonistic pleasure is just an extension of that same attitude.

She’s front row at Chelsey’s wedding. Come on. There are photos of Bill Clinton getting an airport back rub from one of the testifying victims. Notice the complete lack of interest by MSM elites. They know. We know. Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself. And that is probably a main reason Maxwell is keeping her mouth shut. Although I’m sure it was wide open one the island.

Best take on Twitter is “you know Trump didn’t go to the Island, or it would have been leaked”. And Trump is the one despised by college educated white women.

It’s over people.

Oprah was in Weinstein's orbit. In fact, she was one of his satellites, who aided and abetted his progress.

How many people were in Polanski's orbit, who gave comfort and a provided a cover-up under the judgment and label of #NotRapeRape?

The gay pride of transgender conversion therapy through medical, surgical, and psychiatric corruption?

And the equity and inclusion of the Pro-Choice ethical religion that denies women and men's dignity and agency, and reduces human life to negotiable commodities for social, redistributive, clinical, and fair weather causes?

Trans/homosexual grooming. Trans/humane choices? Pedophilia, sex or intercourse with immature boys and girls? #MeToo

Men, women, and "our Posterity" are from Earth. Masculinists are from Mars. Feminists are from Venus. Social progressives are from Uranus. Keep women affordable, available, and taxable.

One step forward, two steps backward.

Jeffrey Epstein had a Saudi passport (with a fake name) and piles of cash. Epstein's link to the Saudi's goes back generations. And the Saudi royal family is super disgusting. Don't expect any controversies as plain vanilla as an old, stupid man (Prince Andrew!) having sex with a slutty 18 year old girl. The Saudi's are much stranger. A couple of the "princesses" keep slaves in their NYC and LA mansions. Another Saudi prince was "accused" of getting blow jobs from dudes (in public) and then beating the daylights out of his female workers:

Strange stuff. I think the Saudi people have a right to know the truth about these people.

Apparently trafficking them to no one. at least according to our wonderful legal system.
That great American institution, much bragged about, helps to cover up a coup to remove a sitting President. Covers up and hides crimes by animals against law abiding citizens.
And now helps to provide cover for child abuse.

If Epstein was a Black man charges with drug dealing, and "committed suicide" under similar circumstances, we would (quite rightly) never hear the end of demands that all involved be exposed and punished. (Or perhaps we would hear the end, because they would be, like Derek Chauvin, serving long prison sentences).

And yet the only people who seem to be truly interested are the outsiders. The silence is deafening.

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

From Ephesians 4, the text for today's service in our church. Too applicable.

It is amazing Maxwell was convicted on trafficking minors to no one. No one at all! You would have thought at the trial the names of those she provided those minors to would have been mentioned as part of the evidence against her. Was that information entered into evidence? Since the judge allowed very little information on the trial itself to be reported (limited press access) and the corporate press is not curious at all, I guess we will never know who those people were.

I read most of the second linked article and this stood out to me, especially appearing in freakin' Mother Jones:

"The truth is that the elite world that Epstein ascended into, the one I tapped into by way of the black book, is populated with hordes of loathsome, boring, untalented people living their bumbling, idiotic lives while just so happening to wield some share of the preposterous global bounty that he and the rest were after. For all the mystery surrounding Epstein’s fortune, its existence is hardly more inscrutable than the wealth of any of his other billionaire peers. He earned it the same way they all did, which is to say precisely not at all."

And yet, I'd wager most of the staff and most of the readers hold those same people in utter awe whenever they pontificate on global warming or any other Leftie Cause du Jour.

I read the article. It's lengthy but informative and interesting. Thanks for posting.....Jimmy Saville, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Epstein. It's possible to get away with a great number of crimes for a great many years if the right people have no interest in investigating and/or the victims are intimidated by their abuser's reputation or power...I still don't have a handle on how it's possible. Harvey Weinstein raped wealthy, influential women who had their own connections. Jimmy Saville raped hundreds of children. I don't think powerful people at BBC had any reason to protect him but they did....Epstein is the only one whose immunity made sense. He got rich, powerful people to be his co-conspirators and fellow abusers. The author of the article claims that Epstein was not particularly bright. Maybe not, but he had a talent for snaring people in his web.....The Catholic Church got away with some terrible crimes for years. People wanted to believe that it was staffed by godly men, and the press didn't want to investigate. Something like that seems to be going on with the Democratic Party. Some Republicans have unseemly libidinal urges that they act on, and you can bet that everyone in the media will bring these to your attention if they can. Not so much with Democrats. If you suffer from satyriasis, my advice is to join and become influential in the Democratic Party. The press will cover for you as long as they can.

All I want to know is, what is the significance of the painting of Clinton in the pretty blue dress. was it a joke? a threat?

If Epstein were a rogue player he would have set up a dead man switch to release everything when he died, relatively easy. Why did that not happen? Because the agency in control of Epstein is still controlling the people Epstein had pictures of, and who now have the pictures.

gpm said...

Dare I admit that I once had lunch with Epstein about 25 years ago in his townhouse just east of Central Park? Maybe about 62nd Street? With no underage or other girls being offered?

In addition to his Lolita Express activity, Epstein was reputedly a great financial/tax planner who was wooing (so to speak) a mega-rich client of mine (whose name you would probably recognize) for an outrageous fee. There was a magazine article on that subject (maybe the New Yorker?) that I may still have a copy squirreled away somewhere. We submitted tons of financial and other data, but the client eventually begged off. The Epstein people were officious, obnoxious twits.
