Gotta give him credit. He's figured out a way to make a living out of what he did for 16 or so years in classrooms. That puts him ahead of the majority of college grads.

I find it delightful exuberant charming art in the same way that I find Althouse's daily diary of sunrises delightful, exuberant, charming art, even though someone w a sour stomach could wake up surly, open this blog, look at another of your pics and say, "oof! enough, Ann! this endless, mindless straining for attention."

He is Mr. Doodle, so he's just looking to establish a brand identity based upon an uncontroversial aesthetic. His straining for attention is less irritating than Youtube influencers who's primary talent is playing with toys or eating lunch.

Maybe it's art. Christo was an artist who became famous for wrapping things, and that didn't seem very hard either. I'll give Mr. Doodle credit for coming up with his own thing without challenging cultural standards or some other post-modern justification.

I do wonder how it will look in 5 years. Does he need to get the car clear-coated, or does the whole thing wash off? I'd like it better if his creation is fleeting, like those sand mandalas the Buddhist monks are always yammering on about.

Does that negate his lease?

A student at the college that I swim at has a white Tesla bedazzled with rhinestones inside and out.

Performative doodle, and very well done.

Embrace the power of "and".

I've seen him before...I think it looks great.

Teslas are some of the least attractive 'expensive' cars on the market.

This can only help...

He could offer these as wraps that will leave the underlying paint untouched and protected...

seen Lots of college kids in ames do the same. I guess the difference is:
When you paint on a $500 beater, no one thinks twice. Do it to a $70,000 car, everyone says AHH!

I liked the tool, that was cool. Didn't care for the result.

A tremendous improvement as it muted the hideous styling cues of the vehicle.
