That's a Great Blue Heron, not a Sandhill Crane. Note the white sides to the head contrasting with a black cap, the two-toned bill (yellow at the bottom, dark on top), and the long plumes at the base of the neck. Saw a family of 2 adults and 1 juvenile crossing a road this week. Amazing first for me!
