That's a quote I'm reading at Instapundit this morning.
I must say that this is the first time in my life that I've wondered about whether snake intestines curl around like the intestines of a mammal.
Of course, I've heard that pig/python metaphor used many times to describe my my my my my my generation, but I'd never thought about how winding the long road through the final part of the snake was supposed to be pictured.

We didn't die before we got old.
King Lear- Get wise before you get old. The exact opposite of my generation.
The funny thing is that the generation running things, and with the exception of Obama, has ruled for a long time, is really pre-Baby Boomer. Chuckie Scheamer is the only one in that list who is truly a Boomer. We have been, and continue to be, ruled by the War Babies and the Depression Babies. Power essentially jumped over the Pig in the Python. One of the problems that the Democrats face is that their average age in both houses of Congress is significantly older than that of the GOP. THE GOP has its geriatric cases, but they are not nearly as prevalent as for the Democrats.
We have seen some deaths in our generation, but this last year has been esp brutal. Off the top of my head, three kids I knew from college. Two were in my fraternity, and the third hung around there a lot. Two likely died from vaccine complications - both from heart attacks doing esp vigorous exercise shortly after getting revaccinated. You know - the myocarditis and pericarditis mentioned in the Pfizer approval package, but not apparently taken into account with the FDA in its approval of their vaccines. But heart issues are hitting the younger generations even worse - our college announced the heart attack deaths of two male stands, 20-21 years old, last month.
Had to look this up. Oh, there was an increase in population for that generation. Got it. Useless metaphor.
Let's really examine the useless metaphor.
Everything in its place. You don't want to be the canary in the python or the pig in the coal mine.
Trump, the younger Bush, and the Clintons were all Boomers. Obama was too, but he seemed more like an Xer. He wasn't much like other Americans born in 1950 or 1960, but not so different from Americans born in 1970 or 1980.
One could hypothesize that voters were sick of Boomers and didn't trust the younger generations, but to me it looks more like the Boomer moment has indeed passed. Sixty year olds don't seem to be making news in politics right now.
The boomers were supposed to be a transformative generation. People thought it was a major milestone in 1992, when Clinton defeated a man old enough to be his father, but the Boomers have fizzled out like the Silent Generation before them.
On the other hand, the WWII generation that seemed to be in power forever had about 30 years in power, from Kennedy to Bush Sr., and we are now 30 years from 1992.
art, babies, literal, snakes, metaphor, boom
Not the circle of life, but rather the ouroboros effect with a nice burnt offering: a succulent Posterity. Hakuna matata, I suppose.
The best way to dispose of snake poop is to bury it in a hole dug deep enough to prevent any animals from digging it up. Be sure to cover the hole with dirt after burying the poop.
