Garner, the name (I approve!).

ADDED: The film will be directed by Madonna!

Ruth Langmore learns some new moves.

So a vanity project that will almost certainly bear little resemblance to reality.

Not that any entertainer biopic does . . .

The reinvention machine stopped working after “Music” which was her last song of any relevance. She should have stopped with “Take a Bow” which is a really nice song. Most singer/bands have a shelf life which isn’t very long. Madonna did better than most as have Mariah and Pink.

I predict a disaster. It won’t get released.

She is an excellent choice, in my opinion. Big fan of Miss Garner's work.

She's a big time talent

I'd prefer to see the "making of the Madonna biopic" docudrama -- in which an up-and-coming young actress has to survive being directed by an egomaniac former music legend in the story of her own life.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner is about to appear in a reboot of of the very funny TV series "Party Down," which I predict will garner a lot of laughs.

She looks nothing like Madonna.

My first concert, Blond Ambition World Tour, at the Meadowlands in NJ. Level 42 opened for her. Something About You was their big hit. She was changing costumes real quick for almost each song. Then it started raining lightly about halfway thru and we thought she would cut it short, but she did a couple more songs in a downpour. I had bought binoculars for the occasion. I didn't want to leave. She really put on a good show.

I've seen Garner in Ozark and the a couple of episodes of the series based on the con woman who fooled the upper crust of Manhattan into believing she was some kind of rich heiress for a couple of years. She's a great actress, though I didn't care for the mini-series, it just wasn't the kind of material I'm interested in. It's a total mistake for Madonna to be directing the movie. She is way to close to the material. But then she is a Material Girl. I apologize for that.

Her work on Ozark has been terrific! Also inventing Anna.

Me: Ooh, that could be interesting...

*"The film will be directed by Madonna!"*

Me: Oh. Never mind then.

I would love to watch a biopic of Madonna after I finish watching paint on my house dry.

I probably would not usually plan in advance to see a Madonna biopic, but with Garner as the lead, I will.

One step beyond Bob Fosse directing Roy Scheider as Joe Gideon in All That Jazz.

I look forward to the 2057 biopic about Ed Sheeran, with a cast of Muppets.

"Perpetual reinvention" =

I'm rich now, so watch me change my clothes, hair color and makeup.

((In other news (+)(+) I do love the word Perpetual))

We’ll deserved.

So glad she garnered the role.

Great choice. I'll bet Madonna says "fuckin'" a lot too.

Julia won well-deserved awards for portraying Ruth Langemore on Ozark. My guess is that people who knew her were amazed at her transformation.

Now we will find out just how versatile she is. Madonna is a much different character.

Loved Garner in "Ozark". To me, she looks like a delicate version of Marilyn Monroe.

If Madonna wants a successful movie she should get Guy Ritchie to direct it.
