"Misdemeanors are being treated like felonies."

They need their political prisoners so they can lie about what actually happened on 1/6/21, and they want to scare Americans that they are White Supremacists that came for an insurrection with no weapons, and taking selfies inside the Capitol, that the police had ushered them into....They did no more damage than any of the BLM or ANTIFA scum that Kamala helped to bail out. This is disgraceful, and everybody in this country should be condemning the political gestapo that NANCY has in DC. NOBODY has been charged with insurrection. I hope that everybody who sent these people to prison get their COMEUPPANCE!!

The left is treating these AMERICANS worse then they treat the 9/11 terrorists.

We can hope that the positive outcome of Jan 6 is that it ripped off the mask of problematic justice practices. The feds have selectively enforced laws for decades...often at the whimsy of the current administration. This dates back to infinity. One horrible case was Ruby Ridge (1992), where the feds staged a raid whereby a 14 year old, a mother and infant, and a dog died because Randy Weaver cut two shotgun barrels 1/4" too short! Seriously. [As part of an attempted fed infiltration of small/fringe political groups.]

Treat felonies like misdemeanors.
Treat misdemeanors like felonies.
Treat felonies like social justice.
Treat misdemeanors like insurrection.

Some things never change. Words don't matter. Laws don't matter. Intent doesn't matter. We live under the Rule of Bully.

How many total were arrested and are STILL in jail?? All those iPhone videos- peckerhead Sullivan’s “professional press” recordings- so much evidence in circulation of exaggeration of events… w/murder on the heads of Capitol police… and these people rot away. Still.

Some woman told me that and then broke into a medley from Chorus Line. Must be true.

This does outrage me. Not many things do...I loathe being outraged as it clouds my mind and damages my ability to make wise decisions. This is what happens though when there are two standards of justice and this is compounded by the fact that these two standards are not based, as is usual, on class or money, but on political leanings. The fact that illegal behavior is treated differently by our justice system is very dangerous and potentially catastrophic. This needs to stop now and the minority party must do more to address this.

The man being interviewed by Tucker seemed very believable...esp. since other reports have revealed how poorly treated those arrested for Jan 6 activates have been. It makes my head feel like exploding when I hear Dems talk so righteously about the number of policemen who were killed on Jan 6th when there were actually none killed. I wish there was more info on why several of the Capitol Police committed suicide several days after the fact. So much seems so odd.

Reichstag Fire was an extremely effective power solidifier for the Nazis. We know that Nazis love false flag operations and agents provocateur. We have pictures of Ukrainian Nazis at J6 and in Charlottesville marchers flew Ukrainian Nazi blood and soil flags, but don’t worry, the Nazis are the good guys this time, and if Nazis want heavy weapons and to risk WW3, who are we to question them?

What are a few political prisoners in America?

I like how the one ethnic Russian protester, wearing a mask, posed so dramatically for the photographer, and the picture was used to justify burning that trade union hall in Odessa in 2014 where thousands of Ukrainian demonstrators had forced the Russian Ukrainians protesting the violent coup we backed to take refuge. Oh, I forgot, Nazis explained that they set their own refuge on fire by throwing Molotov cocktails from the roof. These are our allies.

Take these examples of how the subtle and not so subtle ideological conformity over agents at the FBI is enforced.

An FBI briefer refers to Sen. Kyrsten Sinema as under potential threat because she's a "polarizing figure." Not that she's under threat because she's a moderate centrist Democrat in an increasingly leftwing extremist party (see also the ideological spectrum cartoon Tweeted by Elon Musk). Essentially, the FBI party line is to blame the victim in this case, a US Senator under insurrectionist threat.

And how is such ideological conformity enforced among agents? Fear.

Jordan, citing FBI whistleblowers, urged Horowitz last month to investigate whistleblower claims that "the FBI is suspending the security clearances of FBI employees for their participation in protected First Amendment activity on January 6, 2021." Since a security clearance is required for FBI positions, "these actions mean the FBI has suspended these employees indefinitely."

Jordan included the notice of suspension for one 10-year FBI employee who previously had honorably served in the U.S. military for more than 20 years. According to Jordan, the employees in question "did not enter the United States Capitol, have not been charged with any crime, and have not been contacted by law enforcement about their actions."

Even so, the FBI revoked their clearances, citing "Adjudicative Guideline A – Allegiance to the United States."

This move appears to follow a Democratic tactic in conflating peaceful protesters on Jan. 6 with those who actively stormed the Capitol in an apparent attempt to prevent Congress from certifying the Electoral College vote for President Biden.

These moves "raise concerns that the Bureau may be taking significant steps toward firing these employees as retaliation for disfavored political speech."

Horowitz, in a May 4 letter obtained first by Fox News Digital, stopped short of pledging to launch an investigation into the issue, but he did say he would reach out to the FBI and consider whether to open an investigation.

At least we now know the means by which to hold accountable the FBI leadership who engage in these violations of rights.

Sure, injustice happens every day. Why is this different? Why should anybody care?

For people like Mark, it's a real mystery.

The obvious answer is that in many ways it's not different, which is why so many people don't support BLM despite agreeing that blacks deserve equal rights. State-sponsored injustice is experienced by people across the spectrum, which is clear in all the data on police brutality. And therefore designing solutions that help a few while ignoring the rest is a no-go for a lot of people. It's just an opportunity for graft, which is exactly what happened with BLM leaders (surprise, suckers!), rather than getting to the root of the problem.

On a more practical level, and for cynical leftists like Mark for whom everything boils down to power, it's worth caring about because it puts you in danger from a group of people who have lasting real power, and motivates people who otherwise would be sympathetic to injustice against you to turn a blind eye to yours, if not encourage or even participate in it.

Get a grip. Hysterical overstatement undermines your comments and arguments. I agree the prosecution of the Jan. 06 demonstrators seems to be excessively and worryingly harsh, (to the extent I'm aware of the punishments being handed out or discussed),but do you really think any of them are going to be sent to prisons outside the USA, tortured, beaten, and held without charges for decades? And it is the government handing out the punishments, not "the left."

Another horrible case was the mass murder of Branch Davidians in Waco, TX.

I have no idea (and I cannot deny) what they may do in the future, but the commenter I took issue with claims they're being treated worse than the 9/11 terrorists NOW, which is objectively ridiculous, hysterical, and untrue. The government's treatment of them may progress and become harsher than is what already taking place now, yet still fall shy of the treatment of the so-called "9/11 terrorists"--most of whom had nothing to do with 9/11 in any capacity and were mostly released over the years. How much harsher the treatment of the Jan. 6 nitwits will become is still an open question. (If you scream "the sky is falling" when there are just black clouds and thunder, what can you scream when the sky really is falling?)

It owns every American corporation that does business with them -- ask the hotel chains what they do to overnight desk clerks dumb enough to post a comment about China on their personal online conversations, because China watches everything.

They graduate as many engineers each year as work today in the US, and have been achieving that rate for a dozen years.

They are surging ahead now in space.

They have a gagillion manufacturing managers that know exactly how to make everything we need. We have a gagillion Tastee-Freeze assistant managers.

Creepiest of all, Eric Swawell continues to serve in Congress, even still sits primly on the Select Committee on Intelligence, for G*d's sake.

Were you there for over a year?? Did you get beaten by guards?? Did they deny you the right to see your lawyers?? Yes. Such treatment of untried/unconvicted suspects is terrible, unjust, and unconstitutional. It is an outrage. But...this has long been norm in the United States. Were you concerned or outraged before now? If so, good for you! If not, it's because you've been complacent, ready to write off all persons arrested for crimes as guilty, because of their race or class status or, mainly, just because they had been arrested. Many are quick to assume any persons brutalized or gunned down by the police as having asked for it.

The state of our policing nationwide and of the "justice system" is outrageous. But, as long as citizens see those in jail--even unconvicted suspects awaiting trial, as many are--as de facto criminals deserving of their fate, there will be no change for the better, but an inevitable deterioration for the worse. This is the end result of all the "get tough on crime" campaigns by cynical politicians trolling for votes, and for voters who always fall for it, without examining the actual state of the system.

This is the result of decades of "Get Tough on Crime" rhetoric and political messaging.
