Beautiful! I think we're too hot to grow them down here (zone 9b), but if we could, I would.
I think newspapers are written for women today. They all read like a Danielle Steele novel.
What happened to WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and WHY in the first paragraph?? I've read several newspaper articles this morning that are several paragraphs too long, and doling out information like a gossip columnist.
They should start each paragraph with OMG!!, and an emoji.
Happy Mothers Day to all you Althouse mothers, especially Prof.
Pretty flowers! I've never seen those type before. I may have to try planting some of my own this fall. I need flowers that basically take care of themselves. My mom had the green thumb. It passed over me and to my daughter.

LOL!
They don't write them for this woman. I subscribe to the local online paper, mainly for the obituaries and comics. When the paper was locally owned it was an newspaper that had local actual news, but then it was sold to a company in Madison.
We tried them last year. Didn't have great luck, but the ones that came up were great. Looks like you have a good location. Congrats!
Thank you, Meade.
Zone 9b.
Lol.
We’re zone 3.
Meade knows when to water the flowers…
Beautiful! Thank you for posting this photo.

have you read any?
Ms Steele does answer: What happened to WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and WHY by the last paragraph!!
newspapers don't even know that is their only purpose.
