Top photo Ukraine tribute. The Ukraine flag is blue above/gold below. Represents the sky and wheat.

Sad to see Schrödinger's 13 Ukrainian soldiers on Snake Island are dead again. :(

Speculation is rampant that Hunter Biden will be indicted. Really? The only chance of that would be if the swamp wanted rid of the Big Guy. That is not on the horizon.

A Ukrainian sunrise!

The bottom one is stunning. It also looks colder than cold.

Nancy Pelosi and other members of the House have called on Justice Clarence Thomas to resign. LOL.

I call on THEM to resign.

During the high-tech lynching that was the Thomas confirmation hearings, he said that he'd rather die than withdraw his SCOTUS nomination. And recall he was already on the DC Circuit at the time.

The Left never rests.

I hope Clarence stays on SCOTUS until he's 92; just like Lyle Strom who continued to work as a federal court district judge in Nebraska.

It was 26 degrees. Didn’t feel at all cold to me

Kameltoe is as malleable as Biden's earpiece, and a new VP (and presumed 2024 candidate) could be confirmed before 2022 wipes out D majorities.

Love the second photograph. Continue to appreciate your time and thoughtfulness in continuing to share these with us.

So, Joe Biden has announced funding to produce more cobalt out of thin air, I guess, less than a month after he killed the Twin Metals mine, which contains a world class deposits of nickel and cobalt....

resident Joe Biden will invoke the Defense Production Act to encourage domestic production of minerals required to make batteries for electric vehicles and long-term energy storage.
Biden’s order could help companies receive government funding for feasibility studies on projects that extract materials, including lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite and manganese.
The White House also announced a new release of oil from its strategic reserves to help cut gas prices and fight inflation across the U.S.

Oh yeah, and he kneecapped domestic oil producers by flooding the market with the "strategic" oil reserve, until the mid-terms, making it that much harder to get financing for increased drilling, while announcing fines, I guess, for those companies who hold leases, but can't get financing, after those people who finance drilling were specifically called out and warned off in a presidential address about three weeks ago. No wonder Putin dismisses our leadership as feckless and dull witted. We insist on funding Putin's army. Time will tell, and maybe Biden is playing eleven dimensional chess. I hope so, he's the only president we've got.

Althouse- did you kneel or squat down for the 2nd photo?
And what Friendo said.

Ann Althouse said...

Yes I had to get low for the wall of ice picture.

Sometimes the feeling of your photos makes me mimic how I think you must be. It’s that Peterson reaction when he talks about how we tend to look where others are looking, etc. a groupthink mechanism for safety. Only, in this case- it’s perspective.

The bottom one is one of the all-time great ones.

The wall of ice picture is starkly beautiful and maybe a little post-apocalyptic.

Tim--I heard about the fines for oil leaseholders on the radio Yesterday. I thought "WTF?" and immediately realized that they need scapegoats. Voila!

We have always been at war with Eastasia. And Goldstein is Big Oil (this week).
