Screen is black for me.

But if you don't love Elton John then you're a goddamn communist.

Love Elton.

Saved my grass cutting money and bought Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirty Cowboy the day it was released.

Best memory was talking my Dad into letting me go on a trip, through grade school in the summer, to Boblo Island. 2 hour bus ride to Detroit, get on a ferry to the amusement park. I had to pay for it,. $12.

On the ferry headed to the island, it was windy, cloudy, lots of spray-

They had really loud speakers playing music. This is the first time I heard Benny & the Jets. It was magical.

Never could figure how Elton and Billy Joel keep selling out the Garden. Then I walked past there one night when EJ was playing and saw a bunch of elderly women with blue and bright yellow hair going in. Suddenly it all made sense.

Blue Eyes was his good one. He turned into a crooner.

Blue eyes is related to Crystal Gayle's <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-OI5LEA-bg>Donuts make by brown eyes blue</a>.

What a precious moment of pure joy. I was the same way when I got drunk and saw MAMA MIA in Las Vegas some years ago. I get it. I wept through the shole show.

I’ve always liked his Scented Candle In the Wind.

Isn’t Mom beautiful?
What a beautiful lady.

I’m a fan, too. Idk if I’d cry for him, though.

I first heard him probably 50+ years ago - I think it was “Your Song” (?) …. Am I old?

Saw him in Vegas years ago. He is a showman.

Not the kind of enthusigasm I was expecting.

IDK how old Mom is, or how old I'm supposed to feel, but we liked Elton enough to listen to him in our youth, and when he Joel toured through here in ???? my wife and I went to the show. A rare pop-rock excursion for us, and a good time.

Saw him on the campus of MSU in East Lansing in 1971. It remains one of the best live performances I ever saw. Loved the video of the mom at the current show.

It struck me Mom had a moment of being young once again. And yes, that didn't sound like Elton's current voice. Would have been nice to know what everyone was standing and staring at on the stage.

Saw Elton John in Los Angeles in 1980 a few weeks before John Lennon was killed. Elton John sang "Yesterday" during the show. I thoroughly amused the girls in the row below me by screaming out "Saturday! Saturday!" as EJ paused the song to let the crowd chime in.

"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is a top 10 album; massive hits on all 4 sides. Elton John was a master in his hey day

Better a "cynical asshole"(sic) than a Know Nothing cracker with bad taste in music.

If this were scripted, I'd say Mom "made some interesting choices" in her performance -- What was it that set her into motion? -- but apparently it was real and spontaneous.

Mom is in blue here and in pink in another clip. Was it the lighting? Did she take something off? Or is this an "Aubrey has two moms" situation?

You know, it really isn't. But that statement goes a long way toward describing you.

It took awhile for her to recognize the song. Or, so it looked to me. Then she was transfixed. I think she liked it.

Best light effect I've ever seen was the BJ/EJ tour a few years back, EJ did "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" and the entire stadium was bathed in what seemed like a slow-fade, hypercolored West Coast sunset orange and red light. It was AMAZING.
