I was at a lake or pond for sunset. It was cloudy so the sun wasn't visible. The airplanes made a bigger noise than the birds. My legs really hurt from the walk over and I wondered if I'd have the strength to make it back, but at least the flies and mosquitoes weren't a problem.
I live near a city park, and the parking lots in the city park seems to attract Mad Max element. They rent run down RV's for $6/day, and then park them where they can find room. City parks have room.
I find it absolutely amazing how much junk these homeless people carry. I see them park, and then within a couple of hours the valence surrounding the RV is filled with half-finished projects, and broken down cars on cinder blocks.
I am still waiting for the first Althouse lefty to admit their strong support for Putin's pipeline expansion to Germany (to "own" Trump) was a mistake.
One suspects that uncomfortable fact is already far down the historical revisionist memory hole.
The Guardian is saying that it is starting to look like Russia is going to win, and that it will be a disaster for the world's poor. Well this easily avoided war is already a disaster for the world's poor, and is only going to get worse, as that impeachment witness said a couple of days ago, Trump would have avoided this war, and that would have been a bad thing, you know. The US goal is to turn Ukraine into Afghanistan, I hope none of these weapons fall into the hands of the wrong terrorists, imagine. what the IRA would have done with them. Are we sure the IRA has really closed up shop?
Not sure that you identified the problem. The issue is not who supports the use of Nord Stream 2 to supply Russian gas to Germany; instead, gas volumes from Russia to Europe are just as strong as ever using Nord Stream 1, the Ukraine pipeline, the pipeline to Poland, and the new under-the-Black-Sea pipeline headed to Turkey. Yeah, Nord Stream 2 is banned, but nothing has changed with Europe's dependence on Russia for natural gas.
Sadly, Europe’s got more recoverable shale gas than the U.S., according to estimates, yet there’s been little exploration. Germany, France, the Netherlands, Scotland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, and Bulgaria all effectively ban fracking.
The EU could help by imposing tariffs on incoming Russian gas purchases, requiring payment in U.S. dollars. Rubles are already almost worthless; the Russian currency equals just 0.013 against the dollar.
Here in PA daffodil season is about half over. It would be followed by tulip season were it not for the deer. Forsythia and daffodils are eagerly awaited in late March as the first real signed of spring.
A twin engine propeller plane dropped the “Golden Knights” parachute team over aWashington Nationals game the other day. Capitol policy had not been notified of the flight and classified it as a “probable threat” to the Capitol. So they evacuated the building. (Congress is in recess.) Brave Nancy Pelosi is furious with the FAA over the lack of notice. What a microcosm of courageous Democrat leadership.

I assume you know that in Europe and UK property rights do not include mineral rights so there is no private incentive to drill for gas or oil.

I don't know how they do it.
I've always liked Antonio Soler's "Fandango," and have discovered L'Arpeggiata's rendition on Youknowwhere.
Fusion.

Yes _ forsythia

Casually throwing things away is a wealthy person’s game. The poor need to keep whatever they may one day have a use for.
Our forsythia is LONG gone, lilacs are popping now!! I love Spring.

Here in southern AZ we get a huge splash of yellow from the Palo Verdes blooming in the early Spring.
In Chicago my forsythias and burning bushes were always under attack from rabbits in the Winter. Damn Wabbits!

Just remember, Gadfly. Your vote caused all this. Your adherence to the Russian financed no fracking movement as well.

It looks like Greenpeace has decided that Putin Oil is bad for the world. They are blocking a Russian tanker from unloading in Norway.
It's a start.
