"We’re not at war with Ukraine and Ukrainians, but at war with the USA inside Ukraine."

Said a Russian soldier in Ukraine, quoted in "Russian troops insist to Ukrainian that real target of war is ‘USA inside Ukraine’" (NY Post).

Sounds like the reason the US fought the Vietnam War.

Putin must have told the soldiers that the infamous bagman Hunter Biden was back in Ukraine.

Yes, how persuasive an anonymouS russian "Soldier" who has an opinion. Hey, NYT post please write an article about an "anonymous American citizen" named Rcocean who believes your article is badly written nonsense.

In any case, if Putin thinks the USA is waging a proxy war against him, he'd be correct. Does anyone think Lindsey Graham or Biden care about the average Ukrainian? Or who controls the Crimea? No, this is just a chance to "play risk" with people's lives. Hobble the Russian bear by bogging him down in the Ukraine. They're aiming for Ukraine to be another Afghanistan. And hoping all the sanctions will bring down Putin. He was their No. 1 enemy BEFORE Putin invaded.

Since 2014, the Slavic Spring, a Democrat, and a few Republican maverick, -backed insurrection, a violent coup, one in the audacious Obama, Biden series, he is correct.

I mean a lot of this does sound like a Russian Domino Theory in regards to NATO and Western oriented countries.

I want to know how much money Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney and all the other war mongering shitheads in the Senate have made in the Ukraine.

How much money has been kicked back to Barrack Obama?

We all know about the Big Guy's 10%.

Son, you really are fighting Ukrainians. If you were fighting American soldiers you’d be dying by the thousands, not hundreds.

Oops! What am I thinking? Our military is led by Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley. With Joe Biden as C-in-C. Actually, they’d have won already.

The Russian commanders have to tell the troops something other than what they are actually doing. That's why they are using artillery and bombs so much. The soldiers don't have to see the women and children they are killing and can imagine they are fighting Nazis and evil Americans.

Coming up next on Russia Today, undeniable proof of the USA in Ukraine, a corpse in stiletto heels and camo BDUs.

Adam Schiff said, in his prosecution of Trump, “The United States aids Ukraine and her people so that we can fight Russia over there, so we don’t have to fight Russia here.”

So, I guess rando Russian soldiers and the head of the House Intelligence Committee are on the same page on this one.

The statement is at the 1:41 mark.

That sounds like an interesting and clever social warfare rhetoric. It’s on par as calling rallying Republicans insurrectionist. In both cases, it is dangerous rhetoric that can destroy diplomatic bridges.

According to Russian soldiers,“We’re not at war with Ukraine and Ukrainians, but at war with the USA inside Ukraine.” The USA is a NATO country, so Russia has attacked a NATO country? Son of a bitch, let's show them the consequences of attacking a NATO country!

You are correct sir! A prediction - The USA is going to be involved in several of these in the next 3 years.

Kiev had 32 trimesters following the coup in order to offer reconciliation, remediation, and mitigate progress affecting the Ukrainian people. The Slavic Spring will end the same that way all the civil wars in the Obama, Biden, Clinton, McCain, Biden Spring series concluded. Hopefully, they will lose their Pro-Choice religion sooner than later and avoid sacrificing another scapebaby from Tripoli to Cairo to Damascus to Kiev and others ostensibly peace-oriented shitshows, with collateral damage, and "benefits". That said, is Xi, China next, never?

It's probably that they hope to force a Gaddafi solution in Russia, but then the question is, from Tripoli to Cairo to Damascus to Kabul to Kiev, and Americans not included, how much collateral damage will the trans-humanitarians tolerate in the Slavic Spring. From diverse precedents, they seem to be of the faith, religious conviction, and ideological orientation that embraces the wicked solution. That is they believe they can abort the baby, cannibalize her profitable parts, sequester her carbon pollutants, and have her, too. Time will tell if they are playing with a double-edged scalpel, or their dreams are realized again, and again, and again.

N(eo)N(a), who possible sees Putin as the second coming of Christ, still thinks the Ukrainians are Untermenschen who can't possible think for themselves and who have no feeling at all for their own country but are like mindless zombies following the 'leader'. Just like he still doesn't know there have been elections since 2014, including the 2019 ones where Zelenski beat the sitting president (try that in Putin's Russia). And who like many other *** seem to think the Ukraine has no existence of its own but is just an extension of American politics.

Besides that, I want to know how that evil America succeeded in fooling Putin in invading what is a sovereign country. A country which did not break international laws, was no threat to nor interfered with its neighbors, including Russia, but wanted to join the EU, an organization which whatever opinions one has on that institution, mine are rather negative btw, doesn't support naked corruption. And a country which wanted to come under the NATO umbrella (another organisation with rather strict rules) for obvious reasons.

Btw, NN. That invasion is rather more violent than your 'violent coup' by several orders of magnitude. And that 'violent coup' was, among other things (*), an internal affair.

(*) "However, Members of Parliament voted on 22 February to remove the president and set an election for 25 May to select his replacement, a move described by Russia and US academic John Mearsheimer as a coup." NN surely loves his Putin and Putin's propaganda.

You open the post in bad faith.

The rest of the post has some potential arguments. But those are overshadowed by the usual anyone who disagrees with me is a Putin puppet.

I am sure you would have no problem with China or Russia doing research in Tijuana on anthrax and smallpox.

We are NOW. Before this sh*tshow the only people who gave ant f*cks were the Biden family and any other politicians who are in on the Ukraine kickback grift. How much of that 13.4 billion is going back to Biden, Romney et al?

"The soldiers don't have to see the women and children they are killing and can imagine they are fighting Nazis and evil Americans."

Unlike the Ukrainian Nazis who actually enjoy shelling civilians and who have been doing it for over a decade. Those same soldiers who set up their defensive positions in schools and hospitals and apartment houses. There are no good guys in this story, as anybody who has been following Ukraine, especially since the US backed coup there, knows. Don't let emotional propaganda infect you with war fever. This war is bad enough, a wider war will be far worse.

If you look at Western coverage from before the "We have always been at war with Eastasia" moment, you will see much concern over the activities of Ukrainian Nazis, and those of us who followed the sources of the impeachment down this Ukrainian rathole before the war cannot unsee what we have have seen.

The most stunning part of your. comment is that you imagine that Nazis in Ukraine are some figment of Putin's imagination. Just two days ago the EU had to take down an "International Women's Day" tweet because the Ukrainian woman soldier pictured was wearing a Nazi symbol on her uniform.

When Poland had wars with Soviets 1919-1921 they insisted they were not in war with Poland and Polish people, but with the capitalists and land-owners. Nothing really changes in the Russian propaganda

(*) and very specific so. I had a run in with him a few years ago, possibly on this very blog, when he spouted the same kind of BS. He did excuse himself then. A bit at least. And now he is doing the same BS with at the background a full scale invasion.
Btw, I also at the time pointed out to him that Putin had Iran's back. The main reason sanctions didn't work and the opening Obama-The-Flexible got to do his Iran deal. And now there is a Russian 'mediator' helping Biden to do an even worse deal. Yeah, Putin is our friend (/s).

It's amusing to hear people freaking about the Ukrainian Nazis. As if the irredentist Commies that are the military leaders in this war and who were responsible for the leveling of Grozny (along with women and children) are in any wise better than the Uke Nazis.

It's almost as if people have forgotten what the Commies did to Ukraine and its people. That some of the Ukes chose national socialism as their flag is not at all surprising.

Nice people? No. Defensible? Nope. Worse than the Commies who are attacking them? No to that, too.

Of course, we are also talking of a small number of people who formed militias as Russia tried to grab eastern Ukraine and grabbed the Crimea. The vast, vast majority of Ukes are not Nazis and don't support the militias.

Yeah, Putin is our friend (/s).

No, he is not. He is a competing interest, with his own special and peculiar interests.

Btw, NN. That invasion is rather more violent than your 'violent coup' by several orders of magnitude. And that 'violent coup' was, among other things (*), an internal affair.

Yes, a Slavic Spring in the Spring series. A violent Western-backed coup is not in dispute. The Kiev regime had 32 trimesters to offer reconciliation and remediation to the native Ukrainians affected, and remove the clinical labs, and nuclear plants, etc. which offer moral support -- a la slavery and diversity -- to an external intervention.

Not according to the EU, which surveilled and affirmed the integrity and outcome of the pre-coup election. Democracy is aborted in darkness, indeed.

The Phantom of Slavic Spring haunts Ukraine.
