Another poll has come out, this one After the SOU speach.
Bide is looking at a 35% approval rating. That's pretty good!
in all my life the Only Presidents who Ever had higher approval ratings at any time in their terms were:
Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, O'Bama, and Trump
But other than those 11 Presidents.. Biden has The Highest approval numbers of my entire life!

Tin Foil Hat Conspiracy Time:

Sen Lindsay Graham's calling for the removal of Putin "by all means necessary" is a not just Graham doing macho posturing. He doubled down on it tonight on Hannity.

I think that this is a Jean a une longue moustache moment, a signal to some group out there in the world, probably in Russian intelligence, that the NATO Governments/Intelligence agencies have signed on or have set up resources for something to happen in Russia or Ukraine.

Why choose this signal? Because it was so over the top that the intelligence agencies know that Putin will widely disseminate it in Russia re-packaged as propaganda showing how the West really is on the offensive and is out for regime change in Russia. They know that the message will not be censored because it will suit Putin to release it to the Russian public, and it will thus reach its target audience.

Hell, it might even be Putin himself. He may know that it's now just a matter of time before the noose tightens and he trusts getting his family to Switzerland to the CIA or MI6 rather than the Russian FSB. Hell, I would. An old KGB man like himself knows the fate of Lin Biao and his family all too well.

One thing my aging dad has discovered:pictures of scenery, without people, in them age very poorly. They just linger until somebody cleans house or hits delete. Nobody has any interest in viewing them unless taken at one of the few unique places on the planet that have unusual and interesting features - like a monastery in Greece way up on a rock formation that inspires awe. Wisconsin lake and sky images don't make the cut, to say the least. Lint in a sock drawer is equally inspiring. It hurts to think about all the wonderful morning Zs Ann has missed out on pursuing this folly.

Tucker made a solid point the other night. We are being governed by idiots. We're on the verge of WW3+Nukes, and the person in charge of negotiations is Kamala Harris. I'm hopeful that Kamala will give Putin the best BJ he ever had and the result will be world peace.

I don't have much respect for the quality of Christine Amanpour's tedious interviews on PBS with left-wing guests. Tonight, however, she interviewed Anne Applebaum (who I didn't know
very much about before) about the situation in Ukraine. Turns out Applebaum has some chops:

"Anne Elizabeth Applebaum[4] (born July 25, 1964) is a Polish-American[5] journalist and historian. She has written extensively about Marxism–Leninism and the development of civil society in Central and Eastern Europe..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Applebaum

She's on Twitter...and re-tweets a lot. Recent example:

Anne Applebaum
@anneapplebaum
·
8h
I can't confirm any of this. But if you want a version of optimism, here it is.

Sergej Sumlenny
@sumlenny
· 10h

THREAD I know it sounds contra-intuitive, but it feels that Russia and its army are about to collapse. RU obviously has no reserves left: the tanks they send to the front are very old, without active armor, look like training machines. They do not have trucks, using civilian ones

At the bottom of this interesting unroll, there was also a comment by someone else leading to:

Insights from Bellingcat on Russia's Ukraine ambitions | RISJ seminar with Christo Grozev, lead Russia investigator, Bellingcat

https://otter.ai/u/rrigWPawjLX5QA8cpOy9RXdpg98

Bellingcat ferrets out much valuable information from open-source material. For example, the real names of the GRU operatives who poisoned Sergei and Yulia Skripal with Novichok in Salisbury (UK).

NY Post

Here’s how Putin protects himself from assassins and coup plots

'...The potential threats against Putin, 69, were thrust into the spotlight Thursday when US Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called on “somebody in Russia to take this guy out” for ordering the deadly invasion of Ukraine.'

https://nypost.com/2022/03/04/heres-how-putin-protects-himself-from-assassins-and-coups/

There's aways a weak link, somewhere. Just a matter of finding it.

Isn't it interesting what a megalomaniac can do, with no military response, when he has nukes in his hip pocket. Thank goodness the Chi-coms, Norks and the Mullahs have no such aspirations.

It's instructive to watch propaganda being produced in real time. Ron DeSantis never "scolded" those kids for wearing a mask, he said: “if you wanna wear it, fine” Three days later there is an article featuring one of the kids defending his "right to wear a mask," as if DeSantis had questioned that.

This is how received ideas are created. This is how they made a monster out of Donald Trump. It's simple disinformation.

It's time to give Joe Biden a little credit for refusing to escalate the war he could easily have prevented.

Will their unions, EVER allow it?

From your link:

The basic facts are these: Lin Biao died in a fiery airplane crash in Outer Mongolia on the night of September 12, 1971.... In any event, in their haste to get away, the conspirators somehow neglected to refuel their Trident aircraft, which proceeded to run out of gas over the Mongolian People’s Republic. In the ensuing crash, all occupants of the plane were killed.

No gas, crash sure, but fiery? No.

Well, it is nice to see Tucker back off of his support for Russia and Putin now that he has seen the polling numbers. Slagging the VP during this existential crisis is merely unseemly. That's a step of from his active treason. Baby steps.

I teach in the Fontana USD which is about sixty miles east of L.A. in San Bernardino County, and the mask requirement goes away next Friday, March 11. (For us that's the two-year anniversary of the start of this nightmare, when we were told it would be for fifteen days to flatten the curve) We have been strongly recommended to keep wearing them. I'm not.

Did you say "If you want to wear them, fine" or not in it? If not, then maybe you might wonder if your video has been altered. I don't watch video, I read transcripts.
